How Much Is A Bachelor Of Science Degree

Is a Bachelor degree in computer science worth it?

Is a computer science degree worth it? Very much so. Having said that, when you have to ask if a particular thing or endeavor is "worth it", it normally requires an extraordinary amount of work and effort. This is true for computer programming. Programming is difficult to learn and it's good that your love of video games has inspired you to consider this field. However, don't let your love for games lead you to think that studying programming will be as enjoyable.

I take it you are in high school or you are just beginning your college career. Take a few programming courses and see how you fare and if you like programming. Best of luck.

Someone help! health science bachelor's degree. What to do?

I've never understood why people pick degrees without a strong understanding of what work they can do with them. *This* is one of the major causes of unemployment in new college grads.

I don't think your degree sounds great at all. It's a gateway degree - one you get before going on to a Master's or doctoral program. You should have had a goal from the second you chose this degree so that you could be taking the classwork that would allow you to get a competitive master's or doctorate.

You need to sit down and have a chat with your degree advisor (not a general advisor) and ask them what's out there. Start talking to smaller Pharma and device companies about their hiring processes. If you need to push your graduation date out so you can take prereq classes, investigate this. Start researching lab positions. Start researching clinical study assistant positions. See what's out there.

Good Luck

Easiest Bachelor of Science Degree?

Whats easy depends on what you're good at. Some people think Sociology and History are easy (or even Leisure Studies) but I think most of those are considered a Bachelor of Arts. If you need a "science" degree specifically, good luck! In my book, they are all hard. Some of them don't require a ton of math (usually one calc course, one physics course, etc for like a bio or microbio degree). You can go online to the college you are looking at and see what the required classes are for graduation and see if its a degree you think you can handle. I would recommend getting something that will help you further with the job you want!

How does a Bachelor of Science degree prepare you for medical school? Specifically what within the degree helps you in medical school?

In answer to the second part of your question: nothing. And everything. Your question is sort of like asking "what purpose does scaffolding serve in a finished building?"   or "Specifically what within 7th grade helps you in your senior year of high school?"To get in to medical school (in the US) you  have to do well on the MCAT, which includes organic chem, bio, physics, gen chem, genetics, and biochem. Those subjects (especially genetics, biochem, and cellular biology) are really important in your first year of medical school. And what you learn in your first year is really important in your 2nd year.  at some point, you get pretty far removed from the "basics" that you learned in college, yet those basics are still the foundation of everything you know. And they come back to haunt you in the strangest ways sometimes. Just last night, I was talking to an orthopedist about the 6 simple machines (wheel, inclined plane, etc).  Or see How much do doctors use every fact learned in medical school? Now, do you need to major in one of those subjects? or be "pre med?" Or even get a BS?  nope!  You can get your degree in just about anything - about 2 weeks ago, I interviewed a residency applicant who had gone to art school and, after getting an MFA, decided he wanted to go into medicine. He had done very well in medical school, graduating near the top of his class. In my med school class there were english majors, a japanese major, a latin major, music majors, a theater major... Do any of those things have anything to do with medicine? Not really, but as Daniel Caligiuri points out, going to college builds your thinking skills. And humanities majors build your human skills.  Medicine is both a science and an art, and I think sometimes students forget the art part. It's all important. Learn as much as you can.

How much money does a bachelor degree cost?

It depends on what degree you're going for. Science degrees have a lot of lab fees so that jacks up the price.

It also depends on where you're going. Different states and colleges have different tuition rates.

Just google what college you were thinking about, the school website will tell you how much it costs.
