How Much Is Renting Skis At Mont Tremblant

What is better for Skiing in December: Big Sky or Mont Tremblant.?

December is too early to say for sure...it depends on the snow patterns. I have skied them both, and I can say that Big Sky is the better resort for terrain, if they have the snow.

Anyone know of possibility to rent a cabin in Mont Tremblant or Mont Saint Sauveur for a day or two?

Hi,
I actually own a chalet in the Laurentians where Mt. Tremblant and Mt. St. Sauveur are situated. My chalet is in Saint Adolphe d'Howard, another cheaper alternative for you. Unfortunately I can't rent you mine because its closed up for now. Does it have to be these two places that are the most expensive for rentals in the Laurentians? How about Morin-Heights which is just next door to Mt. St. Sauveur or St. Faustin that is next door to Mt. Tremblant? Also check out Craigslist for the Laurentians. You'll find rentals there.
Good luck and good choice. Its really beautiful there! I've seen the "Northern Lights" over at my chalet on more than one occasion! What a show!

Has anyone gone skiing at Mont Tremblant in Quebec?

Whats the best way to get from Philadelphia to Mont Tremblant, Canada?

Hi, So i'm planning a skitrip for about 15 people... and were kind of stuck for transportation options. Driving that many cars up there with ski gear is going to be a hassle. We were looking at bus transportation, however its a little more money than I was trying to spend for greyhound... like 147 round trip into montreal. Then theres amtrak service which is about 116 round trip.

Does anyone know of the cheapest way to get from Philly to Montreal or mont tremblant? Maybe somewhere that gives a student discount.

were all under 25 so renting cars becomes an issue.

Is theft of skis and snowboards ever a problem given how many people just leave their equipment on ski racks unattended?

Yes, it can be.Many of those unattended skis that you see are rental skis used by visiting guests.Sometimes, people mix up their skis with someone else’s skis that are the same brand/ color. Today, I spoke with a fellow ski instructor who said that someone else had taken his skis, and left a pair (in the same rack, nearby) that were the same make, but a few cm shorter.I onl leave my two skis, together, out at mountaintop restaurants or similar sites, were you need to ski down in the equipment. If I have to leave my skis at the bottom of the mountain, I separate the two skis and place them on widely separated racks, where no one would see both of them at the same time, and would really have to search for the matching ski. They sell ski and board locks that are a chain with a combination lock. I’d use those for expensive, new equipment.
