Going on a graduation trip with my best friend to Miami for 4 days, 3 nights. How much money do I need not including hotel + airfare? Like just to eat, go out, have a good time, do a little sight seeing and shopping. I don't want to go crazy but I don't want to be broke either. What's a good, comfortable in-between amount? I was thinking $400 any thoughts?? Btw, we will be taking public transportation + cabs around South Beach.

Well since I know not where you live and no not what you want to do here, that is difficult. Airfare figure about $1600 round trip economy or less. Alone staying in hostile $1000, Food if not fancy dining $3–400 estimate, plenty of buffets to eat at by the Kilo. Events? (spendy) a visit to Pão de Açucar, (Sugar Loaf Mountain) $50. Transportation to and from Airport to the beach $40- 50All are estimates. I`d say $4–5000 would make for a very good time here, This could even include the Hippy Fair on Sunday in Ipanema's General Osorio Square and being able to buy some pretty nice thing. But remember the merchants look for the tourists and prices are always more. They see us and they know even if we are dressed like Brazilians, they always know. 14 yrs. here and they still know. How do they know that even when you never open your mouth? UGG… But all and all a very good time if the only thing you do in eat and spend time at the beach with a few long walks and bike rides. The beaches are fab. People are wonderful and many speak English well at the beach
How much money should I save up to vacation in Italy for one week?
First of all, unless you're from Europe and can jump over for a visit anytime you want, I recommend you save up for 2-3 weeks minimum. Italy is just too big, diverse and rich to do it any kind of justice in a week, and I never travel across an ocean for less than 3-4 weeks if I can possibly avoid it. Having said that, and with the understanding that these are very broad guidelines: not counting airfare, to do it on the cheap (backpacking and hostels), about USD $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week. to stay in budget places and have at least one really good meal in a week, about $1,500.00 - $2,000.00, to do it middle of the road, about $3,000.00 - $4,000.00. If you want top of the line, you don't need my advice and $10,000.00 and more would get you pretty nice accommodations and food. Really the sky's the limit and it gets pretty obscene at the upper reaches. As they say about buying a yacht, if you have to ask, you can't afford it.BTW, regardless of your budget, whenever you travel to another country, have at least one credit card with plenty of room on it for emergencies.

It really depends on what sort of holiday you want, it really could be anything but I'll have a stab at a low to middle of the road cost holiday.If your looking to spend a week in Bangkok on the cheap you can book a cheap but stayable hotel for 1,200 Baht a night (room only) right in the heart of the tourist area of Sumkhumvit Rd and near the sky train.You can eat a good meal at a decent pub or restaurant for 3- 500 Baht or even cheaper, a bowl of noodles for instance can be as little as 25 Baht.Traveling around is cheap either by Sky train or taxis or even motorbike taxis, just make sure the taxis turn on the meter.Tuk Tuk's are ok for a one off trip just to say you've been in one and can be fun but they're not the most comfortable forms of transport and the roof is low, I'm only short but even I have to duck my head to get a good view of what's going on around me. When i went we stayed in one of the cabins @ americanpatriotgetaways.com and we loved it. I cant answer anything about Dollywood, but the town is awesome. If you attend some shows it may cost you a little more. I would recommend 300 dollars if you hang out for a couple of days or a weekend. You can eat good, play some games and see some of the sites. I'm just wondering how much it would cost for 2 people (24 yr old male, 22 yr old female) to spend 7 days, 6 nights (actually only 5 full days b/c of traveling) in California on a vacation/trip. We will mainly be in Orange County and maybe travel to San Diego or LA. Since I've never been and don't know how much things cost, what is a reasonable amount for a daily budget or a total dollar amount? We don't want to "just get by" yet we don't want to blow all our money either. Looking for a ballpark number somewhere in the middle (or middle low end). I don't mind being frugal, yet want to still do a couple cool things. And I definitely want to make sure I have enough (for 2 people) for just the basics and to be able to survive. **Our airfare, rental car + gas, and housing are already taken care of. So please DO NOT factor this into it. We basically just need food, spending money, limited souvenirs and whatever else may come up.
