How Much Money Do We Need To Move To Florida Help

How much money do I need to save to move to Florida?

I will be graduating from college in December . I would like to move to Florida when I graduate, I am currently applying for jobs now. However if I did not have a job at first how much money should I save to move there.I would be moving with my boyfriend and he is currently trying to transfer his position there .

How much money do you need to move to Orlando, Florida?

I moved down here 12 years ago from Ohio. What I did before hand is flew down and found a job. It wasn't anything spectacular, it was waitressing on a casino cruise ship, but I felt good knowing I had secured a job. I also knew someone down here, so I lived with them and shared on rent cost. Having a roommate and a job really helped out. I think your biggest challenge will be finding work. I live in Cocoa and every since NASA has closed it's doors, even the easiest jobs are hard to come by. Tourism has really taken a hit in this area, so your restaurant jobs aren't bringing in the tips like they use to. If you move to Orlando, they do have more job opportunities out that way, but most are low wage restaurant and theme park work, Unless you have a degree.

If you're looking to live in Cocoa Beach then that's Brevard county. Some job websites to look on is

www.employeebrevard.com
craigslist.com under the spacecoast section
Monster.com

Orlando is larger, and is in Orange and Seminole county. I have no idea other than craigslist where to look for a job there.

10K would be a nice amount to have at hand when moving here. I came down with a lot less, but like I said. I already had a job, and a roommate. But 10 K can go really fast unless you can find work. As far as having a car. It really depends on where you live, and where your work would be located. I personally couldn't imagine not having a vehicle down here. In Cocoa Beach they have trolleys that can take you places like the beach, and local shopping. Other wise you would have to take a bus or a cab. It would be doable without a car I guess. I'm sure several people that live here don't have one.

What do I need to know before I move from Florida to Hawaii?

More money. Smaller dwellings. The most institutionalized racism in all fifty states against whites (in my opinion). Your son or daughter may face huge challenges. You need not spend almost anything on clothes (get it from Ross). Here in Florida we have a few cold days and winter gear comes in handy. Listen to public service announcements and do not dive into the sea from way up high in spite of what the locals do. It is called common sense.Snorkel and scuba dive during the months of June, July, and August at Sharks Cove on the North Shore with a shore entry. Otherwise, on the South Shore. Stand Up Paddle Board on the North shore in June, July, and August and go to Uncle Bryan’ s and ask for Vai, Mark, or Jerry as your instructor. In other months, go on the South Shore. Take a glider pilot ride or lessons from Yoko and Brian on the North Shore at Dillingham Airport on the North Shore at the Academy.Hawaii is paradise but it can be at a price and I am not talking about money.

How much will it cost to move to Florida?

I'm trying to move to Florida after I graduate college. I'm thinking the Tampa area as I heard it's cheaper there. I was wondering how much it would cost for an apartment and utilities. Also how much is car insurance and health insurance for someone right out of college? I'd really want to live down there but I don't know how expensive it is. Does anyone have any experience with moving down there right out of college and how much it cost them? If anyone has any relevant information, please post it. Thanks.

How much money should a Canadian bring who’s moving to Florida for work?

Unless you’re moving temporarily … all of it. It wouldn’t make much sense to leave any of your money in Canada. If it is a temp move, your question can’t be answered as you didn’t say how long you’d be in Florida. A month, a year, ten years? Are you moving by yourself or with family? How many members? Are you going to have to find housing or is the job providing it? Is this an all new job or is it an extension of an existing job meaning are you going to have to get new health insurance, new renters insurance? Are you moving with stuff or are you going to be buying everything new?Is your job providing a car? the insurance? There are too many unknown variables for someone to provide a mere number.

What do I need to know before I move from California to Florida?

-Be careful when driving.45 MPH Speed limit is 50 MPH55 MPH Speed limit is 70 MPH65 MPH Speed limit is 80 MPH70 MPH? There is no speed limit.Technically, this is a joke, but from a kernel of truth. Florida drivers can be daring.-Don't get caught by the cops!Generally, Florida officers are very nice and at times lenient on charges (not all, but most). Petty crimes like outdated tags, running red lights and mildly speeding (no more than 10 over) can overlooked so long as you don't do it blatantly/often.Steal something? A cop will turn one strike into three strikes very quickly and completely legally.I know quite a few officers myself. They are wonderful people so long as you RESPECT them and the law. Disrespect them? They will show little mercy.-Heat heat heat. Humidity humidity humidity. Those two go hand in hand to ruin your day. After moving from Wisconsin bout 12 years ago, it took me 7 years to truly get used to it. (Granted, I came from the land of ice and snow. It shouldn't be as bad for you coming from another coastal area). Either way, the heat can be described as “take your breath away” heat. In some occasions during the hight of summer, this is accurate.-Florida is America's Australia. We have man-eating lizzards, spiders that smile at you, birds that attack Labradors, and the biggest snakes in the world. None of that is exaggerated. So be prepared.-The weather will leave you confused. You: Hi Florida!Florida: Hi! Are you new here? You: Yep!Florida: Welcome! *torrential downpour for exactly 5 minutes*You: Woah Florida, what was that?Florida: *torrential downpour for exactly 5 minutes*You: Can you stop?Florida: Nope *torrential downpour*-You are moving to the happiest place in America.Something can be said about the sunshine. It fills the people of Florida with vitamins and nutrients that beats depression and increases energy. Everyone is nicer here. Everyone will smile at you, maybe even wave at you. Making friends will be a quick and enjoyable task.So if you are going to do anything in Florida, just be happy and be yourself!Hope this helps!

How to convince my parents to move to Florida?

I currently live in the most poorest and dangerous part of CA. I hate the city I live in right now... I seriously do. I always wanted to live in Florida, the weather seems so nice and peaceful and then you have the rain which helps me sleep at night. I have 2 brothers and one sister, one mom and dad, total of six people. Problem is, my parents are divorced so that leaves complications with my dad, and my mom has a BF which also has its own problems since he has a job in CA..... Also, my mom doesn't know if she can work over there. And I live about 30-40 minutes away from LA, I am hoping to get an acting career but in Florida they don't something similar to Hollywood.

Should I move to Florida to be with my boyfriend? I’m 19 and in college but I’m more than willing to move. Am I moving too fast (he asked me to)?

In life you are either 1) a kid or 2) an adult. Do you know when that rule doesn't apply? When you are in college. This is the only time you will ever have where you can act like an adult but still make major league mistakes and get the “get out of jail free” card. Move in with your boyfriend? Fudge factor is over! Future earning potential is OVER. Health insurance…on you. Remember skipping classes and sleeping in? Martin Luther King Day? Veteran’s Day? Spring Break? Done! And the apartment your going to move into? Where do you think you are going to stay if he breaks up with you? Cheats on you? Drinks? Does drugs? Hits you? What, aren’t you making enough money to support yourself? Oh yes, didn't finish college…. forgot that one. Yes, this is a mom answering this one. A mom who was also a college student with an older boyfriend. Women marched for a reason. Go to college.
