How Much Of A Coffee Lover Are You

Is there a community for coffee lovers?

Though I can’t be specific (or maybe remember at my age), I seem to recall that there are a number of internet chat rooms, etc., that love to discuss coffee and the process of raising and care for coffee plants, like the “Arabica Plant” (which provides about 80% or so of coffee bean production) or the “Robusta Plan” from where they obtain the seeds, sometimes called “cherries.” At what point the seeds turn into actual beans, I don’t know… but there’s a lot of info on the internet, ad naseum, about this.Where I’ve “plugged into” the process is either buying roasted beans, or green beans and then doing a little home roasting. I don’t know if there may be any coffee lover groups where you reside, but, again, there has been, and I’m sure there still is, a plethora of them on the Internet.Happy Hunting for a Coffee Lover Community, “In Persona” where you live, or more likely, again, in our “Virtual World.” :-)

Do you love hot coffee at summer?

YESSSS! There is no temperature on earth that could make me pass on a good hot cup of coffee. O.K. make that weather-related temperatures. In the morning, afternoon and specially at night. We used to visit my wife's grandmother on her ranch, that was sitting really out there, in something you might call the Mexican Outback. They had no A.C. no running water and no shade trees. Towards the end of June, it can get as hot as 113 degree F. Inside that is. We would still drink our Nescafe after lunch; made from the water from a spring fed oasis nearby. In winter, coffee is actually getting cold rather quickly, so you need to gulp it down really fast. In the dead of summer, a strong coffee actually will get rid of this drousy, sleepy feeling after a meal in extreme heat, and is way better on the stomach than soda.

Why do people love coffee so much?

It's partly because of the caffeine, yes, but it's also:

In the winter, especially,it's nice to have something warm to drink.
There's the whole tradition, ritual thing about it too.Having a cup of coffee with friends, family,or someone special. It's a great way to connect with people by sharing something (food or drink).
There's a psychological element to it too. Some people need it to start their work day off.It gives them a mental boast in the morning.

Funny thing about coffee,I've always thought that it smells better than it tastes.
The scent of coffee is like "comfort food",I believe. It reminds us of relaxing, warmth, comfort, and home.

Why do people love coffee so much?

A great cup of coffee shouldn't be bitter--it should be rich and full-bodied (like dark chocolate). Most people (and even coffee shops) don't put enough ground beans in the machine for the number of cups they are making. If you make coffee with too little ground beans, the excess water will pull out all the acid--leaving you with a bitter cup.

If you want to try to figure out why coffee lovers love it so much, try brewing your own. Put 2 Tbsp of ground beans for every 6 oz. water. And make sure that you get good beans. I would recommend Community Coffee between roast blend (if available). Otherwise, an Italian roast is a good option.

Since you aren't a hard-core coffee drinking, add a bit of cream and sugar to start. If you like chocolate, you will probably like a properly made cup of java.

COFFEE LOVERS! How much caffeine content is there in New England Ground Coffee Dark Roast San Fransico Blend?

I've looked everywhere, even on there official website, and I cannot find a solid answer to this question. The only thing I know is the darker the roast the less amount of caffeine it has but I need an exact number. Please add your source so I can read it aswell because I really want to see how I missed finding the info.
