I’ve owned many baseball cards over the years, but never owned a Babe Ruth Card. I always like this particular card of the Babe, so I bought it at auction. I enjoy mile-high card Co. auctions with the thick glossy catalogs. I used to put together high ends card collections which were all PSA graded and sell them at auction.It’s the opposite of lower priced sets which people often break up because the single card values are higher than the sets. People at a certain level will pay quite a premium for a complete PSA graded set, say in all PSA 7s 8s and some 9s. My last set sold at auction for just under 45K. It was a 1949 Bowman Master set which was one of the top sets in the country at that time.So I’ll own a Babe Ruth card for a while, and when I get tired of looking at it, I’ll just sell it.
