How Much Should It Hurt When You

Why does it hurt so much when i do a split?

keep at it. your body needs to train and adapt to this ability. also, check with a doctor. if it didnt hurt at all before and it hurts all of a sudden, it could be something medical. most likely, you are young. it could be growing pains, but if you keep practicing, your body will become used to the strain and it wont be painful anymore

How much do gauges hurt?

The initial piercing of the earlobes is nor particularly painful -- just a sharp pinch, and it's over.
Healing them does take a few months, and I was told 6-8 weeks of healing before I started to stretch them out, and that's what I did, and had no problems at all. If you plan to get them pierced to subsequently stretch, I recommend going to a reputable body piercer in your area and get them pierced at 14g or larger (12g, 10g, or 8g). Interestingly, large gauge sizes don't really hurt more, and save a lot of time stretching up later.
The process of stretching up the holes should NEVER involve sharp pain. You go up one size at a time (14g, 12g, 10g, and so on, down to 0g). If you wait a month each time, that gives your body time to generate new tissue around the piercing, and the next size should not be painful. If it is, stop and wait longer to go to the next size.
If you keep doing this, there's really no limit as to how big you can go. I've stretched to over 2 inches (55mm) over many years, and could easily go much bigger still.

How do you prevent your fingers from hurting when you are learning the guitar?

I will write my experience. In the first few weeks there was no other way than to deal with it. I felt a lot of pain trying to hold down the notes especially in the 1st and 2nd strings. My index finger will have a red line on it after trying to play my 'jingle bells' tab for five minutes. I would wait till the pain subsides (line disappears) and then try again, only to stop again sooner because it feels red hot. Then slowly, I started seeing changes. Callouses started developing on the tips of my fingers. The fingerprint on the tip got faded somewhat though.*but hey who cares* Now it hurt less and I could play for longer periods. The thing is that you should not stop playing just cuz it hurts too much. Just keep at it and you will definitely improve, as you develop finger strength and dexterity and eventually learn to play like a pro. There are 2 things which you should be watching to reduce pain while you play. Check the 'action' of your guitar. Action is the gap between the strings and the fretboard. If it is too high, then playing becomes painful and it might lead to wrist pains and other unwanted problems. When playing a note, hold your finger as close to the edge of the fret as possible. See how the ring finger is placed on the edge. It makes it a lot easier to hold the string. Same applies when you are holding the barre for bar chords. Finally learning guitar is all about patience. Let the callouses build and soon your hands will be likeThen you won't be feeling a thing. Happy playing!

Popping your cherry - does it hurt? and when do you bleed?

Is it obvious? Everyone is different, the hymen breaking can be painful, but it is just as likely to be a pleasurable experience or not have any feeling at all, the hymen can also sometimes bleed when broken so you may notice when broken pink discharge or a lot of blood – everyone is different, so there may not be any blood at all or a lot. Normally the blood is there straight away, however the hymen can still bleed a few days afterwards as it is thin membrane stretched to partly cover the vaginal opening so may continue to tear as you move about. Not all girls have hymens, those who do can have their broken long before fingering or sex, or the hymen may also stretch rather than break all together. Often bleeding is due to vaginal splitting if a guys fingers catch your vaginal walls or if too much is inserted into your vagina before your vagina is fully relaxed, often this blood is mistaken for blood from the hymen breaking. Which brings me to a note on safe sex, it’s more than just using condoms during intercourse, if fingering make sure your boyfriend’s hands are clean, nails well-groomed and he may want to wear a glove to protect from infection if he has cuts or goes from your genitals to his.

If a guy considers it unpleasant then he really isn’t the sort of guy that you want anywhere near your vagina to begin with! A good guy will have enough understanding of your anatomy and respect for your body to know that when the hymen is broken it can bleed and there is nothing wrong with that – its blood, not toxic waste!

As for ‘popping your cherry’ that is a derogatory term for breaking a girls hymen, it comes from immature boys who think of breaking a girls hymen as taking her virginity. Not only is it inaccurate as the hymen has no relation to virginity but it’s offensive to think of girls virginity as a prize for boys to take. Please don’t degrade yourself by using offensive terms like that, and don’t worry about guys being unhappy about that because really any guy worth worrying about will know what it is, a good guy will respect and care for you enough not to be phased by it.

There is a site called the-clitoris.com which is more adult but has some good information on hymens, here http://www.the-clitoris.com/n_html/hymen...
