I know, bit of a silly question as I haven't said how I would lose weight and all the other factors etc, but how much do you think I could lose? I'm 5 ft 7" and weigh 10 stone 5lb !

How much weight could I possible lose in 3 weeks?

It depends on how intense your workouts are and your diet. I have lost as much as 15 pounds in this time frame before with cardio work and a balanced diet. Generally, a good cardio workout should last at least 30-45 minutes. As far as your diet goes try checking out a BMR calculator at the link below. It will tell you how many calories you should eat in a day. You should aim to eat 500 less calories than the value it says to lose weight at a healthy rate.

Be aware that you should lose no more than 2-3 pounds in a week. Losing any more than that is bad for the metabolism and will most certainly force you into a weight rebound. Don't let it happen to you!

You can, lose a lot of water initially in a diet, but I'm going to ignore that and instead assume you're talking of actually reducing body-fat and not just weigh less because your body has less water in it.There's two questions here really. How much weight can you lose in a week, and how much should you ? (i.e. what's possible vs what's healthy)A average adult male might burn 2500 kcals a day while sedentary. It takes a deficit of about 7000 kcals to go down in weight by one kg, so simple math says eating nothing for a week will result in about 2.5kgs of weight-loss. Plausibly with a lot of exercise and zero or extremely low energy-intake, something like 4kg in a week would be possible. (but not healthy !)Eating nothing while exercising hard for a week isn't reasonable, sustainable or healthy. And there's no reason to. Unless  you are very much overweight, 0.1kg/day rate of weight-loss is sufficient to drastically change your body in a few months. That corresponds to about 35kg or 70lbs in a year.To do that you need to be about 700 kcals short a day. I think if you weight less than 90 kg/ 200 lbs, then aiming for 0.5kg/week is probably better than 0.7kg/week.

Well if dieing means losing weight, you'll lose a lot of it. Seriously, not eating for three weeks....BAD IDEA! If you want to lose weight watch what you eat, lower your calorie intake by around 500 per day, stay away from fatty foods and exercise. Not eating for three weeks will do you absolutely NO GOOD. And once you start eating again, if you're still alive, you'll gain it all back again, because you won't have adjusted your eating habits, you just stopped eating for a while
