How Much Weight Would I Lose Doing Just Dance

Does Just Dance 3 make you lose weight?

I think you can as long as you put effort into the dance (not just moving your arm but copying the dancers). I got it for Christmas and me and my sisters played it hours at a time and even after the first day I could feel my muscles building. It got to the point where I had to take a break for a day because I was so sore. Plus, I started getting really hungry every day I played it. When you don't eat enough calories you get hungry. Exercise burns calories (that's the whole point of doing it to lose weight) so I'm pretty sure I lost some fat (fat actually weighs less than muscle, you really want to try to lose inches to look good). I tried the Sweat version today for the first time and I was a bit out of breath and sweaty. The Sweat version counts "sweat points", I guess you'd call them and tracks your weekly score. After two songs, it said I had danced enough to equal 30 minutes of walking. I'll test it out for a while to see the difference, but I really do think it worked.

It's actually made me a better dancer. I pick up steps faster and I'm getting in better shape.

Will playing Just Dance 4 help me lose weight?

Yes but you need to do more than 10 min... I would say 30 minutes of intense dancing would do the trick. Once you start losing weight, you should up your workout time. You can jump rope, ride a bike, talk a long walk or run also to add to the regime. Your body will get use to the game and you will plateau, so you should do a different type of activity to get your heart rate up. Also make sure you change your diet a bit... you are still young so you can eat normally, just don't pig out on sweets, soda or foods that are high in fat... just use good proportion. You will also need to do something to gain muscle if you want to up you weight loss. No, you don't need to have manly muscles, but doing things like lunges, squats, sit ups will help because muscle burns more calories than fat does, so the more muscle you build, the higher your metabolism will be. If you are sore the next day after a workout, that's good. Make sure you have foods with a good amount of protein.

Just Dance: Can you really lose weight?

My Mom bought Just Dance 2 for our Wii about 4 days ago and I am addicted to it. I'm also overweight, I was never able to find a decent work out plan that kept me motivated and interested. I have been playing this game non-stop since my mom bought it. I want to know, has anyone been able to lose weight playing this game? I have tried to research, but I only find things about Wii Fit.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Does dancing help you lose weight?

Dancing is an excellent choice of exercise for weight loss, as much for its fun factor as for the calories you burn. That said, 30 minutes of moderate exercise every weekday only just meets professional recommendations for everyday health; if you want to actually lose weight, you'll probably need to put in more dance time or up your intensity. Monitoring your calorie intake can help you reach your weight-loss goal faster.Calories BurnedThe more calories you burn, the faster you'll lose weight. While some factors that determine your calorie burn are completely or partially out of your control at any one moment -- such as age, gender and body composition -- you can control your choice of dance and how intensely you pursue it. As a general rule, faster, more vigorous dancing -- such as a challenging ballet class or doing the twist -- can burn up to twice as many calories as slower dances such as the waltz.Diet Matters, TooWeight loss is a matter of burning more calories through exercise than you take in from your diet. Burn 3,500 more calories than you've consumed, and you'll have lost a pound of weight. According to figures from Harvard Health Publications, burning that many calories could take from seven to 11 hours of ballroom or square dancing. A healthy, monitored diet will ensure that you're well nourished but still keep you from consuming enough calories to negate all that dancing you just did.

Can dancing make you lose weight? If so, what kind of dancing is the best?

Any form of dance is good to lose weight. Best part being, dance is one of those exercises which affects the whole body and focusses on individual body parts as well. Dance form like bharatnatyam is very good for your lower body as you are typically dancing in a squat position. With numerous eye and neck movements, it also helps your motor skills.Zumba is another dance form for weight loss. I would suggest if you are doing zumba all by yourself, then select songs which have varying beats. So typically you are starying with a high beat song and then transitioning to a relatively low paced song,in thia way you condition the body for a high intensity workout followed by relaxation.I would suggest you also try aerobics, though completely not a dance forms, it is immensely helpful. i personally have benefitted from it.Keep dancing:)
