Why does EA Sports not make baseball games anymore?

It's actually an accidental side effect of their own success with the Madden football series.In 2004, the NFL (and NFL Players' Association) signed an exclusivity deal where EA was the only game company allowed to make officially licensed NFL video games with NFL teams and current players. Other competitors still existed, but most of them have used fictional teams and players. All-Pro Football 2K8 was a notable exception -- they pursued individual licensing agreements with a few dozen retired players and used them as the centerpiece of a competing game, but it didn't survive. In 2005, Major League Baseball took notice of the money the NFL got from the Madden deal and decided to do the same basic thing*, only they partnered with Take-Two Interactive, which made the 2K Sports series. This essentially locked EA out of using MLB teams and players in their games. They tried to continue their MVP series as a college baseball game, but it only lasted an additional two years before they discontinued it.*=MLB's deal does allow the console manufacturers (Sony, Microsoft) to make their own licensed games, and in fact Sony's MLB The Show for the Playstation is generally regarded as a superior game to the equivalent 2K game.

I have never spent 300+ on any video game as I often like to try games new and old and different genres. I never stick with one genre and never to one game. But if I were to say the game I’ve played the most it would most definitely be GTA V. Not only is the story fun but it is also very long and can take hours of hours of time to complete, but the world is full of things to discover and explore. GTA V has a huge map and when it comes to huge maps San Andreas is the prime example of excellent detail and liveiness. I would always drive around discovering new Easter eggs and enjoying the attention to detail the devs worked so hard on in this game. Everything thing the world works together and it is truly an eye opening experience. But vanilla GTA isn’t the only thing that was going to satisfy me. When I discovered mods in GTA V it was the best thing ever. Graphics mods that would awe me in its realistic glory, superhero mods that would give hours of endless fun, attention to detail mods that would add many different ways to play the game, and even full fledged missions and a battle royale mode mod. Another feature of GTA V that will suck you in is the online mode. Despite all the controversy pertaining to take twos views on micro transactions, GTA Online is very fun to play with friends and completing one of the many well designed heists in the games will give you ultimate satisfaction. I go back to GTA V sometimes just to play around with some mods and test new ones or my friends are online.I have 200 hours on the game.
