How Much Worse Do I Really Look Without Makeup

What do you look like without makeup?

Oh boy! I wanted to answer this because just recently I've become more comfortable with who I am. I've never lacked for confidence, but I've never been the face of self-love either. Although I'd like to be. I have a lot of insecurities, like my crooked teeth and bad skin, but I've come to the realization that I'm a human being. I was not made to be beautiful, but to survive. Here I am bare-faced on the left, clearly. I took this one morning when I woke up to a stream of sunlight on my face. I was having a good skin day (still a little splotchy) and I thought my eyebrows looked good. Do I like myself here? Well, yeah! I look tired (I was) and not nearly as conventionally attractive as on the right, but that's okay!On the right is me as full-faced as it gets. This was my first and only time wearing false eyelashes. I love wearing makeup, I truly do. I love buying it, watching tutorials, and doing other people's. I do it for myself, always. Sometimes I do it when I'm not even going out anywhere. My body is a shell and I want mine to look as rad as possible. I always wear makeup out, even if it is a little bit, because I feel like I'm not put together if I don't. To me, it's like wearing your pajamas to class or to an event. Not classy.BUT with that being said, I love both versions of myself- and all the versions in between. Our current society is obsessed with judging people. We judge girls who wear sweats and no makeup, we judge girls who are always dolled up to the nines, we judge girls for just about everything else that has to do with their image. At the end of the day it's all about loving who you are and what you're about. In terms of how men have treated both sides of me- I've never seen a difference! All my boyfriends have thankfully been lovely (for the most part) young men who would not only love my bare face but also embrace my winged eyeliner and red lips! I once even had a boyfriend who liked to watch me do my makeup because he found it interesting. Other than that, I don't really concern myself with what others think.No-makeup me is a viviacious, intelligent, emphatic, passionate girl with wit and humor. And so is dolled-up me. And that's what really matters.

Do guys really care what girls look like without makeup?

Most guys that are of sound mind and judgement, wont care too much whether you choose to wear make up or not. Most of us know a woman likes to wear makeup for her own reasons and its not our place to judge your reasons for it. However, most guys would agree that too much makeup is worse than no makeup at all (cake face is the term i believe)…But all individuality expressed from both sides, figure out what you wanna look like, make up or no make up, and dont let what kind of “looks” you might get affect how you feel about your decision. If you wear makeup, you might attract guys that prefer a girl to wear makeup. If you dont wear makeup, you might attract guys who prefer when a girl uses no or minimal makeup.Just be you. Confidence is way more attractive than any foundation could ever be.

I look extremely ugly without makeup?

( please read, and thank you so much)

I have a very low confidence and look so ugly without makeup. I don't wear that much makeup, just put on mascara (on bottom and lower lashes) i like to apply eyeliner to my waterline and just a little on top (but nothing to much and noticeable, it just helps make my eye look bigger and filled in) , then finish it with a thin mark of white eyeliner in my inner corner. Then i like to apply concealer and powder to my face, and brush my eyebrows. Then a moisturizer with little color in it to plump my lips. When I'm going somewhere fancy i like to put more makeup .

This is a little bit in my opinion and changes my look dramatically. My eyes look naked and a lot smaller than they already are without make up :( and my face doesn't look as clear without powder . I hate being so ugly :( I cannot leave the house or have someone come over with out makeup. I feel like without makeup i look older and younger with makeup and I'm only 18 !

I don't have a very defined face and tiny eyes (not Asian, just Small) .When i feel pretty , i have all the confidence and courage in the world. Do you think getting permanent eyeliner and eyelashes to fix my problem? There will be times i probably can't have makeup on which scares me. What should i do?

Do Models really look average without makeup on?

Honey, they are ordinary people masked by extraordinary technology. Computers generate their bodies, skin, hair, eyes, etc. to "fix" them into something that is to be admired and considered beautiful in our society. They look quiet awful without makeup- no one is perfect. Chances are if you see a model on a magazine or billboard- that is not how she really looks like.

Why does my skin get WORSE without makeup?

Your face makeup serves as a barrier to protect your face against the elements. It does not have to be expensive or quality makeup. ANy makeup is quality enough that it wont kill you and atleast serve as a barrier for your skin, or it would not be out on the shelves.Expensive brands are really for luxery and conveinance reasons. Even if you are sitting around indoors it is good to wear something. That is one good advantage women have over a lot of men who dont wear makeup. We protect our skin when we go out which is very important. have you ever woken up sometimes and noticed you had perfect skin that barely needs any makeup. Those perfect skin days are because you have been protecting your skin a lot by adding any breathable, makeup barrier that protected you from outside elements which you had been wearing for a certain period of time

Why do men look good without makeup and women usually look bad?

There are a couple of reasons for this. That's just what we are used to. If it was the other way around, men wearing makeup, then you would ask the same question just the other way around.Fluctuating hormones in women can make their skin break out, become oily and/or dry. So thanks a lot evolution for not cashing in on that one. Just that makes your skin look bad.Women has thinner skin than men so bloodvessles, dark under eyes are easier to see. Back in the days that was seen as attractive, fragile and feminine. Fancy royal ladies and other rich people would fill in their bloodvessles with blue ink or whatever they used back then. A glowy tan was seen as unattractive and “poor”.It just looks good. Makeup enhances femininity. Like sexy clothes or heels. Men can afford to look a bit rough, have a few wrinkles here and there, facial hair, whatever. It just makes them look more manly. Which is attractive to women but not on women. Men don't even look good with makeup unless it's very subtly done (read: invisible) otherwise it just looks too feminine.BONUS ANSWER: I actually don't even think men look better then women without makeup. I know heaps of girls that look beautiful with both. My boyfriends often ask me to not wear any makeup because they think I look more sweet and innocent while makeup makes me look more sexy and “womanly”.But it mostly I think it's because we are not used to see women without makeup so when we do, it kind of feels like “something is missing”. Which is too bad. But even im guilty of wearing makeup on most days. Main reason would be that I feel kind of naked without it. It just makes me more confident somehow. So guys, get over yourselves, you look ugly without beard and many of you just look ugly in general. Stop fixating on women's looks and making us live up to this ridiculous standard. Go and work on being good men to your women instead.

My girlfriend looks ugly without makeup?

So we were hanging out at my house and it was thunderstorming really bad and she didn't want to drive in it because it was pretty late. Surprisingly enough, my mom said it was okay if she slept over, as long as she stayed in my sisters room. Of course, she didn't, and came to stay with me. So she excused herself to brush her teeth...and well, let me explain.

My girlfriend is mixed, with dark eyes, dark, arched eyebrows like Megan Fox, and long dark hair. She's pretty tan, with some freckles here and there, but they aren't usually very visible. I guess I realized why.

So she emerged from the bathroom, and I felt my face drop. She looked the same...but different.

Gone were the super arched, dark eyebrows. Now they were just...normal, I guess. Less dramatic. Her eyelashes were short and hardly visible, and her eyes seemed like holes in her face, just kinda chillin there. I could've dealt with that...but the skin. She had major acne-scars going on there, mostly on her cheeks, and some on her chin. Her forehead and nose was clear, and the freckles were more obvious, which was cute. But....god. I knew she had slight acne problems, but nothing like that. You would've thought I'd of noticed that much makeup.

What am I supposed to do? I'm not trying to sound shallow, but god, if you could SEE the difference you'd be shocked. She looks the same, but younger, less exotic and feminine. I told her she looked beautiful, but part of me wanted to offer her a new skin care routine.

What do I do? How do I stop being such a jerk and accept her for who she truly is, underneath all the fake stuff? HELP ME. I love her, and I want to see past her flaws.
