How much does a credit repair cost?

The cost to retain representation from a licensed credit repair organization varies greatly throughout the credit repair industry. It is not uncommon to see some organizations charge their clients anywhere between $700 and $2,000 over the course of a contract. Most organizations are not upfront with clients about the total cost or even exactly what services are performed for the amount of money that is paid. The best credit repair organizations should do more than just produce results, they should also understand and meet the needs of each client while still making it all affordable. OnMyComeUp.com is one of the few licensed credit repair organizations that offer reliable, affordable credit repair and debt settlement services.Of course, the purpose of most businesses is to be profitable but that doesn’t mean that credit repair organizations should take advantage of consumers that are simply trying to repair their credit in an effort to improve their quality of life. How much would it cost to repair this dent on the C-Pillar?

The C pillar is a tricky location to repair since it blends into the roof and rear 1/4 panel. A body repair shop may be able to repair the dent with pulling it out as much as possible with a stud welder and slide hammer and then grind off any paint, sand ,filler, prime and paint. A small dent may only take a couple hours to repair. The issue is how much they have to paint to get a good color match...difficult to paint just that C pillar area without it being noticed as a repair site. May need to paint/blend the entire roof and 1/4 panel which adds up the total cost....usually around 300.00 per panel. So in total it may run several hundred dollars to repair/repaint.

If the dent has no deep scratches in the clear coat layer, a PDR dent removal company may be able to get a tool up inside the C pillar and push the dent out from the back side of the panel without the need for repainting. May need to drill access holes in the lock pillar to get the tool in up behind it. The problem is that the C pillar may have an inner structure that prevents getting a tool to the repair site/dent from behind it.

Other companies like Ding King use a new type of process which uses a tool to heat up the metal and remove the dent or a glue type material to pull the dent from the outside without harming the paint. Call around to various PDR companies and see which methods they use and costs. A PDR process would be a lot cheaper as no painting is involved...usually around 75-100.00 per panel/repair site.

How much do average laptop repairs cost?

As someone who has been repairing computers for the past 20 years, I can tell you that the amount you’ll pay can vary a good deal, based on what the problem is, what type of computer, and who does the repair. When it comes to laptop repair, the national chains, and the manufacturers (if out of warranty) charge the most. Repair technicians working out of their homes charge the least, and small, local, independent shops like mine charge somewhere in the middle. Some charge an hourly rate (many techs working from home use that model), while others, like me, charge a flat labor rate. I charge $99, plus cost of parts if needed. If it’s just virus removal, a tuneup, replacement of a cracked screen or installation of a new hard drive, the labor cost is the same. Another local shop near me (with employees and higher overhead) charges $149 for the same work.Experience is one key factor in avoiding a bad repair job that will have to go back to the shop. National chains tend to hire relatively younger, inexperienced techs. Techs working from home are sometimes new, but also sometimes very experienced. That’s another key indicator. It’s important to know what other customers thought of the repair shop you’re considering. Do your homework, and check online reviews. A competent and HONEST technician will stand out, and that’s the place to take it. Some techs may do the repair, even though they know that the cost of the repair is not worth it. A tech with integrity will tell you when the cost of repair exceeds the value of the laptop.Last, but not least, I have found that customers with an older computer often will want to fix the computer, even though they know it’s not worth fixing. Why? Because they didn’t back up the important data! If you’re one of those customers, don’t fret. In about 90 percent of the cases, the data can easily be transferred to a new computer. So go ahead and buy the new computer, and simply have the tech transfer the data for you. And from now on, back up that data!

How much does it cost to repair a bracket on braces?

Actually it shouldn't cost you anything to replace brackets because its part of your treatment... it should only cost you if you lose the bracket that fell off. I think your orthodontist is ripping you off. I don't know why he would be delaying the adjustment of your braces either unless your teeth are just moving slower than he/she expected....

How much would it cost to repair an HP laptop from a liquid spill?

So... you've used it then.  I mean, the laptop.  Since the spill.  That may have increased the damage done. Most people aren't willing to wait the DAYS it can take for moisture to be wicked out of a laptop, before they turn it on and try to use it.  This causes more damage than just the spill. If people would stop thinking about this complicated and expensive piece of delicate electronic gear as something "simple" they should be able to fix themselves... Anyway.  Here's the thing.  You'll need a new keyboard.  They can run you from $10 to $30 or so on Amazon or eBay.  However, since you've used the unit while there was still liquid inside, as the liquid evaporates and leaves a residue, you still have the potential for damaging components on the motherboard due to electrical shorting of contacts.  You could end up needing a new motherboard, new Ram, even a new hard drive. The worst part is... after a spill, if the laptop is treated properly AND taken to a repair shop quickly enough, most of this damage could be avoided.  Even the damage to the keyboard.  Now... since you've powered it, and passed electricity through the wet contacts on the layers of plastic in the keyboard, those contact traces are breaking down in places. If you are lucky, the repair will only cost you the price of the replacement keyboard, and the time it takes you to download the service manual from HP for your mystery model laptop. If you are unlucky, it could cost you more than a replacement laptop to fix this one.

How much would it cost to repair a 2018 Honda Accord Platinum Pearl White that was front-rear ended?

Pretty crushed up, but I can’t recall seeing fluid coming out. Both passenger and driver doors can’t open. An SUV was pretty much sitting on the upper part of my front. I tried to upload a picture but it didn’t work.
