What are the working conditions in Dubai?
Instead of giving you all ‘online’ data - which is normally manipulated to make UAE look good - let me keep it simple for you with these 9 points:UAE is exceptionally hard, expensive & fast for the majorityIf you are a ‘Non-White’ (you do not have a American, UK, European or Canadian Passport) or if you are not a Citizen - you will find it very tough to survive as there will be two kinds of salaries/packages for the same positionOnce you join a company - you cannot leave the company until the expiry of your contract as A) They will take your passport away from you (unless of course you work in a Free Zone in Dubai or an MNC)B) If you try to leave before your contract expires - they will make you pay all the charges when you joined themYour contract will state 8 hours and many perks - the reality is totally something elseThe company can default on its salary payment or other perks - it is okay and forgivable - but if you default on your performance - you will be penalized. You are at the mercy of your Employer and BossUAE is good if you are looking to make maximum money, live super stingy and cheap and get out as soon as possible. If you are looking to stay there long term - you will lose everythingIn the UAE - you can lose your job any day. There is absolutely NO job security. You will never find a single bad report about the UAE as ALL the information online in the UAE is regulated by the ministry that positions UAE as a perfect country.Loy Machedo
How much is the salary of an engineer in Bahrain?
It largely dependes upon the company which hires you, your experience in the field and your nationality. Main engineering work in Bahrain is in construction.Unfortunately the industrial sector has not really prevailed here as compared to other gulf states and to find a job in it is exteremely difficult. So the salary range of an engineer who is not from the west (USA, Canada, UK, France etc) and have 5-10 years experience in construction is 600-1000 Bahraini Dinar. The salary usually increases as you gain more experience. In industrial sector it is a little higher ranging from 800-1200 BD again subject to increase with your experience and your contract agreement. The amount is fairly decent to have a comfortable life in Bahrain.People from the West or with western nationalities can receive from 1000-3000 or even higher in both sectors. The higher amount is to make it par with the engineer's salaries in the West. But given that the living expenses is much lower in Bahrain, these people live quite lavishly.
I am hearing the packages of 1.5 crores and 75 lakhs these days in IIT campus placements. Where are they made to do their work, in the US or India?
Please do not trust media. They exaggerate the actual campus placement scene. Also, how does it matter to me if my mate bagged a package of 1.5 crores? Do whatever best you can do.Coming to your question, some people make a package of 1 to 1.5 crores INR, but these offers are for outside India. In my batch, these companies were offering crores:Microsoft Redmond [USA]: 1.2 Crores PAUber [USA]: 1.2 Crore PAOracle [USA]: 93 LPASamsung [South Korea]: 1.2 Crore PAIn India, no company offers more than 40 LPA CTC to fresher. Some high paying companies are:Tower Research: 40 LPAGoldman Sachs: 31 LPADirecti: 26LPARubrik: 26 LPAUber India: 22 LPAMicrosoft India: 20 LPAGoogle India: 20 LPAAdobe: 20 LPAAmazon: 20 LPAFlipkart: 20 LPASamsung: 20 LPACapital one: 13 LPATCS: 6 LPAThese figures are only for IITs, placement of batch 2017.Companies with similar culture and assets offers comparable CTC. Example, TCS and Infosys have similar culture and Google, Microsoft and Apple have similar. Please don't get overexcited by above number, it's all CTC. The below picture explain you CTC vs. in hand salary.Source: CTC SALARY IN HAND | Salary Meme on me.meMore points on these news reports:This news gives space to the parents, junior students to expect such things which are not possible. That leads to depression, sometimes even suicide.Others students, who are sitting in placement, start feeling more stress because their well-wishers get influenced by this news and start expecting same from them too.Dollar to INR conversion is not fair here because there is a huge difference in the living cost in Bangalore and Mountain View.Media does publish their long story of crore package's students without talking to them.Sometimes institute does not provide the right information. So be happy with whatever you have because that's yours and try to do better.Thanks.
What is it like to earn Rs.60 million per year in India? How many people earn Rs. 6 crore income per year in India?
One of my friend is earning more than 50 lac per month. Let me tell you about his background. This guy has no college degree first of all. He started his journey from his micro website on which he used to put some ads and generate around 2-3K per month. He enrolled for degree in pharmacy but failed, since his mind was not ready for this life. He then left the college and started research on digital marketing. After so many years of efforts he established a ad network (just like google ad sense but on a smaller scale) soon he rocked the market. And now from nothing to around 10 crore per annum he is earning. He is the CEO and founder of AdTriva Ad Media (www.adtriva.com).What I like about this guy is his simplicity. Though he can afford a BMW or Mercedes for him,he is still using his Apache bike:-) He is very humble as well. Here is Prashant Tapkeer for you.Edit- for those who think this is fake. Here is the article from ERP insight magazine. (If you know what is this magazine all about)
Can I get a job from Nigeria in Dubai and what type of job?
It depends. Why would I hire you? Do you have any special skills that I can't find in Dubai already? Do you have unique talent that will fulfil my business in a way that no one in Dubai can?Coming to Dubai is a huge cost, staying in Dubai is a huge cost, so it is a big risk to come here looking for a job - if your financial situation is tough.Going to another country to recruit is a cost for the Business, they have to send a recruiter, pay for their travel, hotel, food, pay to the recruiter partner in that country, pay for the person to fly over. They can eliminate a lot of recruitment cost. So there really has to be a great need for them to go outside and recruit. The second option is to wait in Nigeria - When requirement demand goes up, the bigger organizations send their recruiters to all sorts of various countries to recruit for specific skills. Could be a big equipment operators, truck drivers, even people in hospitality, mechanics and few other roles. It depends on specific positions they are recruiting for and specific skill sets they are looking to hire.Your best chance will be to keep an eye on the newspaper for companies recruiting in the Middle East. UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar etc etc. BUT also be careful, some of those recruitment companies also try and scam people. They might charge you a fee and tell you they will get you a job. At the end, the only thing that you can count on is an actual offer letter from the company that has interviewed you or through friends who have used an agency to get a job in the GCC.Good Luck
