first of all. i would strongly advise against considering overdosing on any drug. Get some real help not just from a answer board. as for your answer it all depends on how it is processed. topamax does have these side effects. Other serious risks include decreased sweating, increased body temperature, kidney stones, sleepiness, dizziness, confusion, difficulty concentrating, and increased eye pressure (glaucoma). Call your doctor immediately if you have any decrease in vision or eye pain. These problems can lead to blindness if not treated right away. my doctor advised the stones were the biggest problem taking this med for long periods of time and take plenty of water. but blindness might be of more concern than dieing. if you overdose call poison control immediately. or if your friend is taking too much let his doctor know you are concerned. taking too much of any drug is dangerous. Tylenol is very dangerous if you take too much for example. It will kill you over the next 2 week very slowly (kidney failure) and very painful. all doctors can do is make you comfortable. you have been warned. Take care and be careful.
HELP! Overdose on Topamax... 16 years old ...?
I am 16 years old and my mom gave my topamax 100 mg too try (yesterday) and ever since i have felt horrible. i can hardly remember anything that happened yesterday. i slept most of the day and night. and my mom said i was acting drunk or retarded. today i have a really bad headache and i feel very light headed. i feel very nausus and sick. I'm getting very scared. i take 20mg adderhal for add and 10 mg prozact for depression everyday. i have been having horrible mood swings today and crying a lot. i told my mom to take me to a doctor but she said it should be out of my system. should i be worried. i feel like it has really effected me. i am having a very hard time remembering things and doing things. something is not right please help me
Topamax with advil ?? help!!?
In case some of you hadn't noticed: the question was about a possible interaction between Topamax and Advil NOT whether Topamax is an appropriate therapy. That is for her doctor to decide! Anyway, as far as taking Advil with Topamax, there is no direct interaction between the two. I would probably only take the Advil if totally necessary and take the lowest possible dose. There are possible cross over adverse effects between the two (like reflux type symptoms) and since both are excreted through the kidney, any kidney problems or reduced kidney function should be taken into account (if you have kidney problems, then don't take them together). All in all, I would ask the pharmacist you got them from about this. I am a pharmacist, but can only give you the basic outline. I don't have your full medical history and you would not want to put it on here. Hope that helped anyway!
