How Much Would It Cost And What Would It Take To Build A Gaming Pc

How much would it cost to build a gaming PC that is as powerful as the PS4 Pro?

Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core, Radeon RX 470 4GB HS Triple X, Core V21 MicroATX Mini TowerThe cpu is much better than the one in the ps4 pro, but I wanted to put something that would let you upgrade in the future(the motherboard “type” it uses is relatively new) and didn’t use over 3 year old architecture(ps4 pro) that’s weak and not very efficient. The ps4 pro uses a HEAVILY underclocked rx 480, so it’s about at the same level or a bit lower than the rx 470, of course in any dx 12 games and all that the pc will get a fair amount better performance wise(pro doesn’t support dx 12 to my knowledge.)I didn’t include windows becuase you don’t actually need to input a key to use it and the only issue with using a unactivated version of windows is that you can’t access the personalisation options(pretty useless anyway.)So there ya go, $473 and a much more open, cheaper overall(no paid online, cheaper games, much more frequent sales), no monopoly(there’s tons of digital distributors like gog and of course steam, so more competition), and more user friendly overall(basically complete control over the pc and game files means you can fix whatever you need whenever you want) so I would gladly pay even $600 for this over a ps4 pro. Did I mention pc also has sexy GabeN?

How much would a gaming pc cost?

How much money should I set aside for a gaming pc. I already have a good monitor and have set aside $670 for the pc, is that enough?

P.S. Would it be a lot cheaper to build it myself or is it better to have a warranty from a store?

How much would it cost to build your own gaming laptop?

I used to build a new gaming desktop every year. Then one year I decided, hey- why can’t I do this with a laptop so I can chill on my couch or in bed and play games?Sounded like a great idea, and I figured since I always saved a huge amount of $ building my own desktop vs. buying a pre-built gaming tower, the same would apply to a laptop.Unfortunately, the truth of the matter is it doesn’t save you money. In fact, it costs more to build a custom laptop. Why?All laptops are technically custom as is. They may use similar chipsets, CPUs, and GPUs, but the motherboards are all unique between models. There is no standard form factor unlike desktops. It’s apparently cheaper to fabricate a laptop motherboard with soldered components than to include sockets for custom parts. The cheapest laptops, in fact, are all soldered up (literally everything- including storage). For some reason, laptop parts - CPU, etc. are very expensive when sold separately. Probably due to almost zero demand outside of OEMs.It turns out, there’s very little you can customize even if you want to. Aside from choice of thermal paste and RAM/storage choices, you’re basically stuck with a set pre-built chassis. Also note that most pre-built machines can configure those parts anyway.Kind of going with the prior point, there are not many choices available for a barebones laptop. Most of the ones that are available (e.g. some from Clevo/Sager) are actually pretty much the full package- just missing storage, drivers, and OS. You don’t (and can’t) start with an empty case like you do with a desktop. So, figure about $800 for a typical barebones kit, then you need storage, RAM, and OS- and you’re already up to the cost of a pre-built machine. And those will give you a warranty and have everything all ready to go.There’s just not much point doing it when all is said and done.

How much does it cost to build/buy a decent gaming PC?

Depends on what kinds of games you want to play.My current rig ran me $1400. (4.1ghz i7, 32gb ddr4, geforce 1060 6gb GPU, SSD, 3tb drive, liquid cooling, gold rating power supply) Shes an adorable giant monster, and runs great for 3d rendering as well (plus I got a nice big case, so I can hide behind her).I’ve gone into detail on this on other questions before and had people pitch absolute screaming fits insisting that you can build a great gaming machine for around $400. Technically true, although I wouldn't touch some of the games i play right now at the settings im running with some of the parts they’ve listed (and wouldn't trust some of the sellers listed either).Really, though, you can build one hell of a nice machine in the $1k to $2k range if you’re careful with what you put into it. I’m sure you can build an acceptable rig for less, too, just… it will take a lot more in depth knowledge and fiddling (and probably some overclocking).

How much will a good gaming pc cost?

well one place i looked was

http://www.build-gaming-computers.com/gaming-desktop-computer.html

this guy or gal breaks it down for u, giveing pros and cons, even says u can up a bit here and there but up to u in the end. whats great is it gives u a choice of basic, great or awesome builds, depending on what u wanna spend. he even lists some parts that are interchangeable. i advise to read all he says before u build though, just to know. another place is to ask buddies or ppl that built thier own rig, get plenty of advice, this is a big spend u are doing.

How much would it cost to build an ok computer for gaming?

a build for roughly $800 including operating system and monitor

for League and Counter Strike an Intel build is superior as these games don't run on more than 2 cores and the per core performance of an Intel i3 is about 60% better than the one of any FX cpu. these AMD FX multicore cpu's are only better if it comes to the latest games, e.g. Watch Dogs.

btw, this Intel build with i3 cpu, GTX 750 Ti and 8GB ram can run Battlefield 4 on high settings.

How much does a good gaming pc cost?

Heh, i was actually gunna say building a pc until I read the last line. If you want nice smooth gameplay you're gunna be about a grand, 1k, a thousand bucks.Building it yourself it might cost only 200. OR you can just buy additional graphics cards for your current pc, might make the difference between playing at high settings and the ones you play now. Hope this helps!
