How Much Would Yal Spend On A 1991 Honda Accord

What goes into the cost of replacing a Honda Accord bumper?

What goes into the cost?Cost of the partCost of the prep and paintingCost to installHow much are those costs? That depends on several factors. Where are you?. Labor in Arkansas is a lot less than labor in Silicon Valley. Are you buying a new bumper or used? Are you buying a factory bumper or a aftermarket reproduction?

How will I know if my 2000 Honda Accord’s (4 cylinder) timing belt needs to be replaced?

By the mileage on the vehicle. Timing belts do not give a warning when they are about to fail, so they are changed based upon the manufacturer’s recommended mileage. Honda recommends every 105,000 miles. If you are past that, you are on borrowed time because when it breaks, you will think that timing belt job was cheap when you get hit for a rebuilt head replacement as well as a timing belt and water pump.Do it now before it breaks and destroys your engine.

How do I make a 91 Honda accord faster (more Hp.)?

Depends on what route you want to take. If you're planning on sticking with the stock motor I'd have it rebuilt with lower compression and forged internals and go turbo. If you're planning on an engine swap (a far wiser choice) I'd look into Hasport. www.hasport.com They have engine mount kits for almost any type of Honda with any type of engine. Good luck whatever you decide to do. If you aren't looking for very much power you can also do some simple upgrades like an Intake/Header/Exhaust combo. Here's a link to get you started.

Another cheaper option is a simple nitrous kit, when properly done can make LOTS of cheap, safe horsepower. You'll have to swap your plugs for 2 heat ranges colder and start running premium fuel, but that's a small price to pay for 75hp. I'd stick to a 75 shot MAX on a stock engine though. Nitrous Express or Zex will probably be your best bet. I'd also look into getting a bottle heater and a window switch with your kit.

Also, you should be using ONLY the highest grade synthetic oils if you plan on racing or modifying your car. I'd recommend Royal Purple, Redline, Eneos...etc. Change them every 3K miles and make sure the rest of the car is in good shape before you start tuning. Good luck!

I like not having a car payment, my transportation car is a ‘91 Honda Accord that’s been well kept and maintained. My friends say I’m cheap and need to get something more current. Do people actually care about cars that much?

Your friends are a bunch of dumbasses who need to mind their own business when it comes to financial matters. While they’re stuck making car payments every month, you are free. How’s it feel to them when you’re the one at the bar buying drinks for them because you have money and they don’t? Maybe they could take a lesson from you about saving money. If the car is running just fine, why buy a new one? That being said, if you did what my best friend did, then it may be time to buy a new car. I’ll explain…. He had a car that was old, not as old as yours, but it had too many miles on it. When he got the car used, it had 86K. The first few years, the car ran smoothly. He began repairing it (having to pay someone else to fix it since neither me nor him knows anything about cars) which is understandable and cheaper than buying a new car. The only problem was, the car began to have multiple problems, and he began sinking a whole ton of money into the car, so much money, that he could have used that same money for down payment on a brand new car. Friends and family told him to let the car go, but he chose to listen to the people at the car repair shops, whom I told him thousands of times, “Sure they’re gonna tell you to get it fixed and not buy a new car. They want you to come back and spend more money on repairs. You won’t have that problem with a new car.”Point being made, if the car runs fine and doesn’t cost you so much money, keep it. If its always breaking down and its just one problem after another, then maybe its time to consider a new car. But don’t listen to your friends and buy a new one just so they’ll think you’re cool driving around in a flashy new car.

How much does it cost to replace front and rear brake rotors and pads for a 2008 Lexus RX350?

As automakers continue to increase mileage they decrease weight. By 2005 or earlier the brake discs fell victim to that weight savings. Where older cars the disc could be turned, or machined smooth, that's no longer the case. Discs will almost always need replaced in a brake job. Here in Washington and Idaho that turned what was a $160 - $180 per axle into $480 - $600 per axle. With taller wheels came bigger discs….and cost. Prices vary around the country. Higher in high population centers. Lower in smaller cities and rural. Get a quote from a dealer and a few from reputable tire shops. The prices should fall with in a $75 variation. If you get a really low quote, beware. Some shops will suckered you in with a low price, then when your cars torn apart call you about all the extra parts they just discovered you need.
