I'm a 13 year old girl looking to start boxing?
My best guy friend goes to a gym and takes boxing classes, and I've been thinking that I might want to start. If I really pick it up, are there even any competitions for teen girls? Could a 13 year old girl even be taken seriously?

How long should you train in boxing before sparring?
A month minimum in my opinion. And I wouldnt go at full speed for a few weeks after that. You will undoubtably teach yourself quite a few bad habits when the punches start hitting you if you are underprepared. Closing your eyes while throwing or being hit, bending at the waste, sloppy footwork, reaching...all of these terrible habits are learned from being underprepared. Your body starts trying to defend itslef when it feels you cant do it on your own. Bad habits become reflex adn that is dangerous. Start slow and make sure to practice properly. "Practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect." Remember that when you are tired and your hands start to drop. If your hands dorp when you are hitting the bag and your tired, they will do the same in the ring.
Is being a 19 year old too late to start a boxing career?
It is upto you means what is your need from the sport.If you wanted it to gain strength and to learn, then it is never late but if you have any higher expectation then you are not that late but if you are real new to the sport then it is quiet hard.But we all know if you have to do it then there is nothing which will make you stop.And if I would tell you about me then I started it last year and my age is 23 now but I was not that new to the things as I did taekwondo in my teen and then Jeet kune do from my 20's and then boxing from the last year and I really do good but i am not able to give time as I am in 4th year of b tech.Now coming onto the reality.There are many people who are quiet hesitant about the age and they want to do any sport somehow but it is always not about the adrenaline that you have with the sport but it is about the patience and perseverance which many lacks and in some cases there is anger also for someone but they never make you do it or make you learn in a better way. It will always resist your body motion.Feel free to make yourself better.
Im 17. am i too old to start boxing and have asirations of going pro?
iv decided i want to start up boxing. i am 17 and play baseball and football competitvly and have taken an interest to boxing. people say i am very athletic and quick for my size so is there any chance i could ever go pro when starting at such an old age?
