How Old Do I Need To Be So I Can Fix My Moms Papers So She Can Come Back To The U.s

How do I fix my mom's papers?

Since your mother is a Mexican citizen, you have always had the right to Mexican citizenship! Go to Mexico yourself on your Mexican passport, and no visa, no visa application fees, no stamping fees. Just go!

You cannot sponsor your mother for immigration since you do not earn enough to support her & provide a home for her. You cannot apply for a tourist or other visa - only your mother can apply for her own visa. For a tourist visa to visit you, she must prove she has sufficient funds of her own for the typical tourist expenses: round-trip fare, hotels, restaurant meals, sightseeing, etc.

Problem with a temporary visa is that she has "ties" to US - you! - and will have a hard time proving that her ties to her own country are stronger & she is compelled to return home to Mexico promptly. Proving she is only visiting and returning home are crucial to her getting a visa. If your mother wants to enter US for a visit, it is entirely up to her to complete application, interview, etc. If you try to do anything here, you hurt her chances since you are a tie to the US for her. Leave it all in mom's hands.

Looking to fix my mothers papers?

Hi i'm a 19 year old Hispanic female born in the U.S.. I want to help my mom fix her papers but she got deported volunteerly on her own back in 1994-95 not sure. I just want to know what the process outline would be or what to expect and how long? If you can help me out if you have done this please let me know thanks

How do I get my mom papers?

My mom came into the US illegally 32 years ago. Somewhere in between those years she received a social security card (printed on the card: not valid for employment) and she had some sort of temporary visa that expired long, long, long ago. She had 5 kids 4 in college and 1 in middle school. I know that since I am 21 and self- sustaining there is some sort of green card I can get her. Leaving the country is not an option because my 2 youngest siblings are dependent of her. Is there any kind of residency she can receive? Or an attorney? Or what would be the first step form here?

Can my sister fix my papers if she's a citizen?

well, yes your sister can help to a certain extent, if you're willing to wait long enough. if she filed a petition for you, since you're a Mexican citizen, that petition would take almost 16 years before it would become valid for use, not 18 as Brother is saying. not much better really, but you can check it out for yourself at http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/bulleti... your sister's petition would fall into the family 4th preference category. as folks have said, you wouldn't be able to use her petition while in the US, since you entered illegally. and as they note, you'd be ineligible for a waiver and would have to wait out the 10 year ineligibility period outside of the US before you could be issued a visa.

you don't mention if your boyfriend is an American citizen or not. it does make a considerable difference. if he's an American and you married, he could file for you right away. you still wouldn't be able to use the petition here in the US, but you could go back to Mexico for the interview and apply for a waiver through USCIS. while there's no guarantee you'd get it, in reality if you don't have any other immigration problems, your chances would be pretty good. If he's a green card holder, again once you marry, he could file for you, but that petition would take 2 1/2 years before you'd be able to use it. but again, you could apply for the waiver.

Fixing immigration papers for my future wife and my mother?

If you are a u.s.citizen, you can definitely apply for both of them at the same time. But if both are illegal then your mom will have to leave too. they haven't passed any laws yet to help illegal citizens start paperwork in the U.S. here are the two choices in order to apply:
If your mom and your gf came in legally in to the country with some type visa then they can both apply in the U.S. using the I-485,I-864,I-130,I-765,I-131 and the g-325a with USCIS, go to www.uscis.gov . Keep in mind for your gf she will need to marry you first . In Order to do this process In the U.S.

If both mom and gf came in illegally you will need to apply just the I-130 for mom and for future wife will need I-130 and g-325a for u and her. This process first goes to uscis and once approved next step it goes to the national visa center and u can go to www.travel.state.gov for more info on 2nd step. Once the process Is finish there it goes to the u.s.consulate where your mom and gf are from. From there your future wife and mother will wait for an appt. they will either deny or approve them to come to the u.s. to get there green cards. If denied they have the option to use the waiver which is most common called the perdon. The number of this form is I-601 and u can get info on this form on www.uscis.gov.

My step dad doesn't have his papers. Can he adopt me so I can help him out with his citizenship status?

I've never known my biological father. He never wanted to be a part of my life. But my first step dad was always there for me. And he's my little brother's biological father.

Soon after my brother was born, he and my mom separated...we've (my brother and I) had many different stepfathers. The most recent one lives in San Diego. We have lived in LA our whole lives. So as soon as I turned 18, I came back to LA. But my brother is still stuck down there, and he's miserable. He only gets to see our dad about once every two months, and on certain holidays and weekends.

Our dad would go down to San Diego to visit my brother if he could, but they randomly check your papers at the San Clemente checkpoint on your way back up to LA.

I've heard about kids who are US citizens being able to get their parents their papers once they've turned 21. Is there any way that he could adopt me so I can help get him his papers? My brother would do it, but I'm a lot closer to reaching 21 than he is; I'm 19.

help, anyone?

What did your parents do when they caught you smoking weed?

Haha okay this still makes me laugh!I'd been smoking weed since I was around 11. I was about 13 and while I was looking for sand paper for a school project, I stumbled across a random seemingly empty coffee can. Curious, I peaked inside and found a rolled up sandwhich bag with green stuff in it. I unrolled it to check out it's contents and found an 8th of weed! I was so excited because at the time I didn't have any. So I dipped in and took a good size nug and put it back before I got caught!!I continued to randomly take some here and there. Making sure I didn't take a noticeable amount, and rolled it up how I thought it was. I did this for a few months, thinking how sneaky and awesome it was…Well one day I ran out so I want into the garage as usual to dip into my parents stash can. But this time, the lid had in black bold sharpie: “Gotcha!!!” and the coffee can was completely empty. I was so scared, I want out the side door and went for a very long walk to think of what excuses I could give them. Nothing was really going to work. So I get back home an hour or 2 later, hoping things would just be left unsaid. NOPE. Haha they were in the living room waiting. My heart was racing, my mind about to explode thinking of my punishment. Starting blushing and sweating. Finally after what seemed like hours of silent parents staring me down, they finally said:“we always roll the bag up differently everyday so we figured you were taking some when the roll wasn't right… you need to ASK us next time. Can't stop you obviously from smoking, so instead of STEALING it from us just ask please.”I sighed a huge breath of relief. “Yes! I'm off the hook!” I thought.“Oh Megann, by the way, your also grounded for 3 months… “Damn… haha almost! They couldn't have been more mellow and nice about it. Surprised the hell out of me that's for sure! They could've done locked me up and thrown away the key for WAY longer then what I got, so that was pretty cool. The same scenario played out almost exactly the same when I got caught stealing their cigarettes too. Haha after I got a job at 16 my mom agreed to just buy me my own pack as long as I payed for them myself.

How can we fix my brothers immigration status? I'm a citizen and my mom is a resident.?

He should have returned to his country of citizenship before he turned 18. If he had, his parents' illegal acts would not have been held against him. If he is not back in his country within 180 days after his 18th birthday, he will be barred from reentry for 3 years. As of his 19th birthday, he gets barred for 10 years.

DACA only defers or delays his deportation for up to 2 years. He remains an illegal alien, and there is NO way to change his status until he returns to his country of citizenship. As things stand, he'll be deported within 2 years, and have 10 year bar to reentry.

How old are you? You need to be over 21 and earn enough to support yourself, any existing dependents, plus the person you petition for (e.g. your brother). Sibling petitions take 12-24 years to get a visa, depending on his citizenship. You file only after he completes his bar to reentry, and if he has been barred, highly unlikely he'll get the visa. He needs to go home TODAY! He cannot wait another minute to leave the US. his window of opportunity is rapidly closing!
