How On Earth Do Women Justify Buying 50 Pairs Of Shoes

Would you spend $300 on a pair of shoes?

I usually never spend more than around $75, maybe $100 once, but these are so cute:

I don't think I can justify spending that much, but oh how I would love to have these babies!

What makes socks so expensive? How can someone justify charging $18 for one pair?

I see where a lot of the answers for this question will go: you are getting ripped off if you pay more than $9.99 for a 6 pack. But there are a lot of pitfalls to this type of thinking. We are at a race to the bottom in fashion. Dozens of companies are going bankrupt every year as consumers flock to cheap retailers who produce clothing with the cheapest fabrics in the poorest countries, with lots of abuses and environmental problems. Job losses all around for some really good jobs, creative jobs, design job, and American jobs.I am not saying you have to pay a lot for socks. But if you like fashion and want to promote a good well rounded economy, then consider supporting businesses that try to make good, quality products and make individual unique designs. It doesn’t mean your socks will always last longer, but sometimes yes…and you will get a product that isn’t the exact same as everyone else. If the trends continue, we all may be buying from the same 5 brands off Amazon! Also, people need to understand how the business works with designers. They are not making $2 socks and charging $18 so they can be super rich. It doesn’t cost Walmart the same price as a smaller independent fashion company. Fabric, design, production and factory costs are all much higher for small and medium companies. They don’t have the bargaining power to get low rates and they are sometimes less willing to cut the quality for price. So their starting price point has to be higher to make the same profit. Walmart, H&M, Zara, do such huge quantities that that they can make much less per profit per piece and still make billions.Consider checking out this documentary on the true cost of fashion.https://truecostmovie.com/

Which is the best running shoe in india?

Long distance road running, trail running and sprinting all will require different shoes. I can answer for road (tarmac) running. The “in India” part of your question can be skipped as most of the big brands are globally available.Coming to the “best” part, again, this can get very subjective depending on your preferences. If you are new to running, I would say the way you run will be more important than the shoe you wear. Forefoot, mid-foot strike is important for being effective and reducing injuries. You can learn this from youtube videos and from RUN FOREFOOT - Less Pain, More Gain with Forefoot RunningMany runners start running with heavy padded shoes and tend to fall into heal striking.. which leads to injuries (mostly knee) further leading to blaming the shoes.Go through Running Shoes for Forefoot Runners . They have listed shoes (and provided reviews) that facilitate forefoot running. They have shoes from brands like Asics, vivo, mizuno, Nike, sauconi, merrel, vibrant, etc. Do not buy them directly online. Go to their branded showroom first and try the once you liked. Only then decide.Asics is a safe brand: If you don't want to do all that (a few brands on the site might be difficult to track in India), go to an Asics showroom, they study your gait and pronation and provide you with a pair that matches your running style. Asics is a safe brand to go with when it comes to running.Decathlon provides good quality under budget: In case you want cheaper yet good quality options, go to a decathlon showroom. They have a range of running shoes with detailed descriptions of their usability. They also provide high quality running clothes at much cheaper rates then the other brands.Priyanka Durani's answer to What are the best long-distance running shoes available in India?

Is being a man in Western society today just too difficult?

@Zoe Thank you so much for proving my point...see #8 on my list. I put out a long list of logical reasons that it is not an advantage to be a male today. And you respond with "man up"!
Meanwhile...the poster directly under me.. "M" as they're called, tells me "stop whining and complaining you misogynist!" See #8 and #9. It's amazing how you are proving me right and falling right into what I am saying.

You can't attack the arguments I present... so you attack the attacker... Ad Hominem argument.. This is exactly the argument people resort to when they have lost and can't battle your arguments.

Which brand is best for sneakers?

This really depends on your personal tastes. You can identify two types of sneakers: the athletic sneakers and the luxury sneakers. The athletic sneakers: those are specifically made for athletes but due to their popularity, they are worn by just everybody. You can style it with almost all casual outfits. The most popular brands are the American Nike, the Germans Adidas and Puma (the latter recently signed a deal with pop singer Rihanna to release new sneaker models), the Japanese Asics. These are the big ones. You can just start your research with these brands, you may find a model that you like. Check Sneaker Freaker for exclusive pictures and models. The luxury sneakers are mainly high end shoes produced in limited edition for an elite community. The price range is usually between $200 and $1000+. Some are handmade in Italy with premium leather which justifies the price. Brands like Buscemi, Filling Pieces, my own brand HMK. Also, all luxury brands like Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton etc are creating their sneakers. But they are usually overpriced for the design which they propose. My favourite would be Buscemi (priced at $800).Hope that helps. Here is a shot of my shoe brand.
