How Possible Is It For A Female Dog To Get Pregnant Without A Mating Tie

Can my female dog get pregnant after two weeks of bleeding?

Female dogs are in heat from 21–24 days. The first couple of weeks they bleed, but aren’t ready to breed and will turn away male dogs. The third week onward they are ready and accepting of male dogs for breeding. If your dog has bled for two weeks and stopped, please keep her away from males for at least another week or two to prevent pregnancy. And then get her spayed soon after.

Can a ***** get pregnant without a tie?

*Sigh* Why are you breeding when you don't even understand basic canine reproduction?
Canine reproduction explained:
A male dog releases sperm through out the mating, with a larger flow of sperm occurring as the dog's knot swells. When the male's knot swells it locks him inside the female (this is commonly referred to as a tie) making it more likely for more sperm to both make it and stay inside the female dog and thus increase the chance of conception.
In short- Yes your female could very sadly have gotten pregnant without a tie.
What you should be doing right now is getting both dogs fixed, we do not need more individuals such as yourself being backyard breeders that bred poorly bred dogs and thus help fill the already over flowing shelters. If you don't know the basics you most certainly do not need to be attempting to breed- It's a huge risk to both your dogs.

Is it possible for a german shepherd to become pregnant without tying?

Yes, provided the male is proven fertile and she's right on at the time of the mating. One of my males rarely tied with his bitches and yet his strike rate was almost 100%. The one b itch who missed was given a repeat mating on her next season - missed and then came back on her next season to my other stud dog ..... and missed again! I heard later she was mated to yet another proven dog (as my two were) but didn't take. Clearly she was infertile.

I hope you can get her in whelp, but it may not happen. And as for 'having such beautiful show pups'.... takes two to tango and it's possible that neither male would nick with her, or a guarantee that she passes on her good qualities either. Breeding is a lottery - what looks greatfrom appearance, and on paper, doesn't always work out like that.

Can a dog get pregnant without penetration?

I am breeding my two min pins, 3 years and 1 year. However my male lab got out of his kennel while I was out one day and when I got home he was trying to mount her but of course it is physically impossible. She was very "sticky" on her backside. I did not know if, like women, there could be a chance of my labs fluids impregnating her. I have bred dogs before but have never been in this situation. Just curious!

My male dog tied with a female does thefemale get pregnant automatically?

A female has to be in heat to get pregnant. She could be in heat if shes letting him do that to her. She might be in the beginning or end of her cycle, you may have not noticed it. You should get them both spayed/neutered. Please don't breed.

Can a female dog get pregnant if they don't tie when she is on heat?

Gona copy this one more time, because you just don't seem to get it.

Lovely... just what we need, another backyard greeder.

*sigh*

Unless both dogs are show champions and/or performance dogs (obedience, agility, field, herding, etc) and have passed ALLhealth clearances (OFA, CERF, vWB, cardio, etc) then you have **NO** business breeding them. There are too many dogs dying in shelters every day because there aren't enough homes for them.

Take a good long look at this picture:

Study it. Get it in your hear that by breeding your dogs you are adding to a pile just like this.

Can you live with that?

Can my female dog get pregnant at the end of her heat, she is not showing any kind of blood?

Normally bitch can only get pregnant for few days in the middle of her 3 weeks season; depends on when she ovulates and how long will the ova survive. If she ovulates on the day 12, she still might get pregnant several days later, although she might have less pups.BUT, over the years that I have been involved with breeding dogs I have seen:1 - my bitch who already had 2 litters, and mated predictably around the day 10 and 12. The 3rd time, although she was very willing, and the dog was interested, but not mating her. As the dog was relatively close by (about 20km from here) and she continued to be receptive, we kept trying, and finally we got a mating on the day 20 and 21, and had a full litter.2- friend who has number of dogs, had a bitch in season who they did not want to mate as yet, so to be safe they kept her separated for 4 weeks before they let her run with the other dogs. Nine weeks later, she gave birth to one pup.3- breeder I know imported a champion bitch from the other side of the world, and paid enough for her to buy modest house in our city, tried and tried to mate her on the 10 and 12the day, but she would not let him. Finally, they gave up and when she came in season they did not bother to even separate her from the other dogs. Then they saw her tied with their only male and litter of 7 pups were bornSo, normally, bitch should not get pregnant after 3 weeks, but nature does not always work that way.

Can a female dog get pregnant by two different males?

Yes. Years ago, near where I lived - a breeding was going on of Walker Hounds, beautiful dogs. Anyway, one was born, looking like a Doberman. That dog immediately went to the local pound. Someone adopted him and he was passed along until he was mine. Everyone knew the dog, he was famous because people just couldn’t keep a secret about the litter. He was my doggie for 19 years. One day he was crying at the door. I opened the door and he stood there like.. he wanted me to come with him. I sat on the step with him barefoot and we prayed together. He would bow his head when I prayed. When I was done, reciting the 23rd Psalm, I asked him if he would like to walk together. We knew that he had lung cancer. As I turned to grab my shoes, he took off like a bolt. I never saw him again, I think he was leaving to go die alone. I don’t think he wanted me or my children to see him die.Four years later, I was in the same house, and I was running the vacuum in the living room. My four year old, pre-K daughter screamed - don’t run over the big doggie, Mom! I looked at her. And I asked, what does the doggie look like. She said he’s black and tan. No one had ever told her, that his favorite spot was in front of the fire place at night, and that’s where I was working. I believe he stayed with our family for a very long time. I still miss him very much.
