How Should I Cut My Naturally Curly Hairs

Pixie cut for naturally curly hair?

I have 3a//3b hair if that helps. But i was wondering if I should go through and get my hair cut short. Any thoughts on girls with curly hair getting pixie cuts?

What is it like to have naturally curly hair?

I’m an indian born with curly hair. I’m 21 now. During my adolescent years i had brush hair as i didn’t even know that i had curly hair. Then puberty hit me hard and suddenly one day i realized that i am a curly haired dude(after shower). I was 17 during that time. My college friends call me noodles, cotton candy head, sparrow’s head bla bla, yeah i have been judged by almost everyone based on my curly hair.HOW GIRLS REACT: This is the tricky part. Some girls have told me that you would look so handsome with straight hair and that i should seriously consider straightening my hair permanently. On the other hand(the best part) some girls go crazy over my hair. I mean, countless girls(even aunties :O) have told me that i look unique and my hair is supercute. They just can’t keep their hands off of my curls.Almost everyone i meet for the first time comments about my hair. I enjoy some of their comments, some of them i’ve learnt to ignore for the best. From my experience i can say that curly hair draws attention from most people and you get to be known as the guy with curly hair.P.S Thats me and yeah, I love my hair and would never trade it for stupid spikes. Should i straighten my naturally curly hair before i cut it?

I have naturally curly hair but i straighten it all the time (i know, i know its bad for your hair but i don't care). Im planning to get a hair cut for straight hair (i know you're supposed to get a hair cut for your natural texture but again, i don't care) so should i go to the salon with my hair already straight or curly?

Is getting a pixie cut with naturally curly hair a bad idea?

It's a fantastic idea. But you must get the right cut. That means bringing in pictures of short curly hair, not short straight hair. Do an image search for Audrey Tautou short hair. This is the cut I rocked. And it was amazing. The perfect curly pixie. A few more pearls of wisdom:  1. Go to an experienced stylist with a reputation for cutting curly hair. Spend more than you want to. More if you have to.  Sassoon is a good bet. They do precision cutting. A curly girl's best  friend. Alternately, find someone trained at Sassoon or  another precision cutting salon. Someone with Bumble & Bumble Curl Conscious certification is also acceptable. 2. Short cuts require a lot of maintenance. Expect to be seeing your very expensive precision-trained hair stylist once every 6-7 weeks at most. And save accordingly. I gave up Starbucks and YSL mascara to offset the cost. 3. Buy a coffee maker and a tube of Great Lash. 4. Growing this cut out will be a long and arduous journey. Wear practical shoes. Stay hydrated.

What do you suggest as I have naturally curly hair and want my extensions to blend as much as possible when worn naturally?

I have considered extensions in the past but decided they aren't for me.I have naturally curly hair and the choice is to either get straight extensions and make sure I straighten my own hair every day or curly extensions to match my hair. Then I can straighten the extensions as well as my hair if I want to wear it straight. The problem is that if I opt for straight then I have to style my hair daily. The extensions will always be straighter and sleeker than my own hair because over the course of the day, my natural hair will go a little frizzy or wavy just with a bit of humidity in the air.Curly extensions are never going to match my own curls exactly. That doesn't happen. So I will have to put pin curls in every day to match up the curls.I decided not to bother. It's far too much effort every day for me to end up looking like I'm wearing extensions because they don't match my hair.Instead, you can have the best of both world. Clip in extensions are just the ticket. You aren't committed to styling your hair every day but you have the option to wear them when you feel like or are going somewhere special. They will last longer because you aren't styling them daily and you don't need to get them tightened because they just clip in easily.Think carefully before you spend a lot of money to get extensions put in. If you still want them, decide whether you will wear your hair curly or straight mostly. Also, do spend the extra money on getting the best hair possible and make sure you maintain them well. Extensions look horrible if they aren't maintained.

My hair is naturally curly amd I need the split ends cut off, should I straighten my hair before going to the hairdressers or leave it natural?

That depends on how you usually wear your hair. But I prefer to have the hair straightened and cut dry so I can see those split ends. If the hair is wet or natural they are hard to spot. Iy you wear your hair natural most of the time cutting it dry will make it easier to see how it is going to lay. It is personal preference for the cutter.

Going to cut my hair short but its naturally curly what to do?

im going to cut it like christian novelli but like I've said before its naturally curly what can i do and what do i put in it to make it straight and keep it like that...............i dont want to use a straightener other than on my fringe because i wont be able to get all of my hair especially not the ones in the back........please help

I want to spike my hair but hair naturally curls? how can i keep it straight and "porcupined"?

i want to spike my hair butwhen i attempt to do it tends to curl. it gets sloppy with my fingers and the comb isnt very helpful. my hair is normally flat and i want to get it to go back or fro up instead of be flat so i can get that Spiked Porcupined look.

i heard using a Du-Cap or putting gel before sleeping with a bandana over it helps force it to come up after a week or so?

Blow dryer possibly?

Thanks in advance :)
