Job interview at Walmart, should I dress up?
Absolutely. Regardless of what kind of job your applying for, or where it is or what they specialize in, you should always make the best first impression you can by putting effort into your appearance. This shows that you'll put just as much effort into your performance on the job, which guarantees you a spot. I would not necessarily wear a completely tailored suit, but maybe a simple day dress, with a cardigan, blazer, or jacket over top (to give it he dress an edge of sophistication and professionalism). For shoes, something simple, maybe patent leather ballet flats or cork wedges, or even stilettos. Hope this helps and good luck with the job!
Wal-Mart dress code..shirt tucked in or not?
I have to go for orientation on Thursday and, while they told me the colors and types of clothes, they didn't mention if the shirt needs to be tucked in or not and I don't want to show up dressed wrong on the first day so, if anybody knows, I'd appreciate some enlightenment. Thanks!
Why do people shop at Walmart for clothes?
Though I buy most of my clothes online, I've bought clothes at Wal-Mart in the past when:I'm there to get something else anyway and I am low on essentials - socks, undergarments, thermals, beanies, layering T-shirts, etc.I'm there to shop for a last-minute trip where the weather is different, so there's no time to go to a dedicated clothing store - shorts, sandals, graphic t-shirts, swimming trunks, etc.I'm there with someone else who has a list, so I have nothing else to do. But this is rare. I'll usually be browsing hardware or electronics instead.I've been tempted on occasion when a brand I've used before, like Wrangler or Levi's, is on discount, but closer inspection would often reveal a different type of fabric or differences in stitching/rivets from what I'm used to from that brand. So I stick to getting them online.In general I've found their price-quality ratio to be quite good if you compare regular-priced clothing there versus regular-priced clothing elsewhere. The store layout also has the section ideally located for impulse shopping, and the section itself includes options in every category you can imagine. So I'm not at all surprised that people buy there, especially if they are there for something else anyway. Many people I know, especially those with kids, live busy lives and prefer to spend time on activities other than dedicated trips to men's, women's and kids' clothing stores.

You are dealing with the public. While I don't know Wal-Mart's policy, I would dress in busines clothes (for me, a man, in a suit, unless it was clear that other clothes were acceptable or expected).
What to wear at a Walmart orientation?
Walmart employees have a dress code you can go according to that. If they work in the front they are only allowed to wear white and black (not too sure about grey, but dress pants are a good option), so the keds would work, they're good standing shoes. If they work in the back they are only allowed to wear black. Cardigans are always a good option, not too causal yet still professional. Bringing a lunch is a great idea. Finally as far as the scars go I think I'll leave it up to you and how you feel about them. The best I can recommend is that you wear a cardigan with long sleeves and play it by year. Hope I helped.
