So what exactly is "proper question and answer format"?

Why do people ask questions in the format "How to x?"
My guess (and it is just a guess) is that "How to" works better in search engines. Articles, forum posts, and blog posts have titles that begin with "How to". So folks get used to searching for "How to X" and then the syntax carries over when they're asking a forum.Of course, search engines throw away a lot of words, and "how to" may well be high on the list of throw-aways. So I may be full of bunk. Wouldn't be the first time!
If I want to structure a question so that it has the most information in only one sentence, what format is the most effective?
The ideal format may include a semicolon, but there's no rule requiring it. The question should be structured to fit the necessary information, customized for each question. A simple question need not be information dense, and a complex question may be better phrased in a simple form. Rather than packing a question with as much information as possible, my preference is to make it as uncomplicated as possible. At any rate, I wouldn't start thinking about my question in terms of punctuation, but rather content, then punctuate last.
CPA exam - question about Becker courses?
I have questions for the Becker students. What form of the course did you take - in class, CD lectures, or online? and what do you think of it? Is there a difference? If you have your scores from exam, would you mind sharing so I can get a feel for how well each course structure works? Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences.
What id it mean by essay format?
This extra credit questions say I need to answer in essay format, so is it meaning to write intro, body, and a conclution? But how long does it have to be? Like a real essay length, or like short paragraphs like this question?
How do I add code snippets to my Quora questions?
Surround the snippet you want in "[code ]" and "[/code ]" but without the spaces in between the brackets (I included them so it wouldn't think of my answer as code). You can do it inline or with line breaks after the opening tag and before the closing tag to get a separate block.
How long does it take to format a new hard drive?
my 2TB samsung drive took about 14 hours to do a full format. about 50 seconds to do a quick format. i'd reccomend leaving it now that you have started the format process. since your other drive was bad, i would just leave the full format running, because it migh be from the same batch that the other drive was from and could have issues also. i once had to send back 3 dries in a row that were all bad, so it does happen and it's better to find out now rather then later. edit_ if you do stop it, you may run into troubles, but they should be able to be sorted out from the control panel, Control Panel, Administrative tools, Computer management (or you can just type computer management into the seach bar) wait for it to load under the storage tab, go to disk management, find the new Western Digital 2TB, delete the partitions if there currupted or the wrong sizes, and create a or more new ones. if it does mess up when you stop it, the drive was probably dodgy. but i highly reccomend doing the full format!!
