How Shrink The Width Of My Feet

How can I shrink my feet, (in width)?

I knew someone who wrapped her feet in saran wrap and slept with it on.
She claimed it made her feet skinnier in width.
You can try it, but I'm guessing it's not safe since it's basically like suffocating your feet :/

Why are my feet so big?? can feet shrink?

I understand completely how you feel, it's hard to find shoes. I wear a size 10 or 11. I've found the best thing is to shop online.

Your feet probably won't grow that much more though. You'll have to learn to accept them, just think of it this way, everyone else has freakishly tiny feet and you're the normal one! I bet you have good balance too.

Wearing heels can make them appear to be a little smaller. For sneakers, I've noticed that Pumas make mine look smaller too.

How do I reduce the width of my feet?

I take it you mean things like people feet. The Chinese sometimes bind feet in an attempt to keep them from getting larger, but that only causes the owner more problems. I don;t recommend doing that.

Is there any way to shrink a shoe size?

The size of your foot can be subject to many things. Weight can definitely contribute, as your feet can store fat, therefore losing weight can decrease the size of your foot. Excess weight must be lost by normal means, and specific exercises cannot be directed to the foot only. However, your feet contain a rather large proportion of fat compared to other parts of your body, and not all of it is bad. Your feet store more fat in the surface compared to other areas of the body because of thicker outer tissue and specific padded points (see the white below the heel) that are designed to withstand more abuse and shock than elsewhere.Another cause of large feet can be water retention. This occurs due to leaky capillaries, which are tiny blood vessels that are meant to exchange water, oxygen and carbon dioxide throughout the body. If you suspect this to be a problem, please see a doctor. It can be primarily identified by your feet holding an imprint with pressure (like clay). It is certainly possible to shrink your feet unnaturally, although this process (called "foot binding") is extremely painful, destructive and not worth it as you will lose much of your ability to walk. So please don't do it.

Is it possible for your feet to shrink in size?

Just wondering. I used to wear a size 10, and then I found myself being able to get into a size 9 1/2. Now I find myself squeezing into a size 9. A half size difference isn't really noticiblr, seeing as how brands and their sizes may vary. But going a whole size down? I have heard of women's feet going UP a size when they are pregnant, but nothing like this. Could someone explain?

How to make wide feet more narrow?

The way to "narrow" a foot is all in the way you carry yourself. You can't "train" a foot to "down-size" or "stay narrow" like say….training your hair to part a certain way. The weight of your body usually dictates the "spread" of your foot. If you are lighter, then the arch of your foot is more pronounced, hence a narrow foot. But if you are heavy, the foot "spreads" to support your weight. The arch is less defined, and the foot appears to be flat and wide. There are a couple of solutions that may improve the "Look" of your foot, but usually once weight has taken its toll, you are stuck with "fire -stompers"! Over the counter "Arch supports" would be one way to define the arch so as to give your foot the appearance of narrowness. Another, the obvious is giving your foot a rest from weight support. (a nice way to say, lose weight) I am sure there are ways to strengthen your arch, but it would be best to consult a doctor, if you really have an issue with this.

Luck :)

Can you shrink converse?

I bought a pair of slip on converse (they are the ones without the laces) and I should have gotten a half size smaller because my feet tend to slip a lot around the heel. It isn't a problem, but since you can't tighten them with laces, it's hard to fix and it's kind of annoying. I can't return them and I don't want to buy another pair. If I soak them in cold water or put them in the dryer will they shrink some? Or is there anything I can put around the heel of the shoe to add extra friction? Thanks

When you lose a lot of weight, do your feet shrink or get a narrower?

I went to my doctor once about 10 years ago with a complaint that I was experiencing a burning sensation in my feet after I worked out. He asked “What size sneakers are you wearing for your workouts?” I answered “Size 10, wide - same as I’ve worn since I was 14”. He said “You weren’t 100 pounds overweight when you were 14. Go to a shoe store and get a proper fitting. You’re not a 10 any more.” I went, and he was right. I was an 11 extra-wide.Well, fast forward a bit and I’ve lost more than 100 pounds. I didn’t notice it immediately, but sure enough… The guy at the shoe store says I’m a 10 wide, not extra wide - but the shoes that I tried on told me that I’m a 10 1/2 extra wide.So yes, they shrink and they probably do get narrower, though not enough in my case to get out of the extra-wides.
