How Soon Will Liberals Forget About The Ferguson Shooting If This Fact Is Proven

Why is Jussie Smollett getting more coverage than Christopher Hasson, who planned to kill democratic leaders and had a stockpile of weapons?

Because the fact that we practically had a real life supervillain in our midst is not suitable for lighthearted viewing, or debate about the current culture wars. This man was planning on wiping out the world, as much as he could. It’s distraction. They can gossip about Smollet, and engage in fake morality arguments, and play it from all sorts of angles. This is different. The fact that a member of the military, various segments of the military, became this is terrifying, and thus no one wants to cover it. For conservative media coverage, they’d rather focus on the fact that Smollett was a black and a gay man, and that this “dirty liberal commie Hollywood leftie, lol” scum faked his own attack, thus ‘proving’ that all hate crimes are faked (or mostly faked), and justifying their own ‘beliefs’ about discriminating against these people. For liberal media, the fact that a military man became this, and almost nobody noticed it until it was too late, is not something they want to confront. Liberal media reps are reluctant to attack the military as much as they should sometimes, because they’re supposed to be heroes; we’re supposed to revere these guys, and worship the ground they walk on: male or female, of all creeds and walks of life. They’re revered, worshiped, valued; at least in theory. And it loses points with conservative voters, if you attack them in any way, shape, or form. But we forget that sometimes the military picks up psychopaths. It recruits psychopaths, accidentally, and makes them far worse than they were before, because now they have skills, and resources. In fact, we know that gang members have been infiltrating the military since the early 90s, if not the 80s. And those are the least worst of them. This man was a monster. And that doesn’t fit the narrative of the heroic military men and women, who serve us blindly supposedly, and do only ‘heroic things’, and never act out, or hold any dangerous beliefs or prejudices, for either side. So they ignore it.

What is your opinion on Trump's claim that he refers only to the Fake news and not all media as "the enemy of the people"?

I almost wish Quora had everything BUT politics on its list of items to discuss. I see brilliant ideas and fresh perspectives on so many things from cooking to religion, to martial arts and gas engines, to world travel and culture. All things I enjoy reading about, discussing and adding to.I have learned a lot from Quora, except for, sadly in the political area. I do have an interest in Politics and having worked over the last decade for the DoD and private organizations inside and around the beltway, I was drenched with political talk from all sides. It got tiring. One thing I will give the “Beltway Bunch” is the level of expertise and education. There were, of course, some whacky folks out there (any walk of life has them) but by and large the DC crowd were professional political consultants, lawyers, aspiring local and state political figures and so on. Their views on politics hit home more frequently because there was knowledge and perspective to their words. They (usually) didn't fall into knee-jerk name calling and irrational claims on their opponent's party.Anyhow, if you've read this far …thanks. I wrote what I did above because I feel it fits. All due respect to each and every fellow american opinion on Trump or on politics in general. The big problem is what I see for answers in Quora and every other social media outlet , directlty reflect what I see in the 24 hr news coverage which is blasting in the ER waiting room, or the Jiffy Lube waiting room, or in front of the weight bench at the gym etc. its non stop indoctrination from one side or the other. There is Fox which recently started to 2nd guess blind Trump support and then there's CNN, CBS, MSNBC and several more who have basically non stop stories of “Russian Collusion…Trump bad…immigration awesome…American + Trump = bad…Racist” if that's not bad enough, then you pop open Quora and its the same things listed here by folks who know not what they write, and just regurgitate half facts as they were fed to them (far less gracefully)Anyhow, I do feel the mass entertainment/news media is our enemy. I do not say that because Trump said it…I’ve said it for years. Trump has been wrong on several things, but not this one. The media more and more, only serves to excite us and divide us. People devided and extreme the way we're going, won't stand. Rational discussions on everything from guns, to immigration, to healthcare and taxation have all gone to the far ends of their extremes.

How has the Trump Presidency changed your view of America, its institutions and its values?

It has not been altered significantly from the state of affairs that could be concluded (about the actual operational agency that the american people possess) in view of the lack of fall out observed after the Sandy Hook tragedy. (Children instructed by S.W.A.T. team to cover up their eyes after the shooting of their elementary school so they won’t see the corpses of their former schoolmates lying on the ground on their way out). Preceded by (the corspe of a man in Ferguson lying in the sun for four hours for no good reasons, after he was shot dead and before it was moved away). Followed by (a fourteen year old in a bathing suit lying face down in the grass and being kneeled upon by a grown-ass policeman for a very uncomfortable lenght of time, to be gazing at).Was it all 2016 or even before? I don’t know but it adds up and Trump’s presidency is putting a stamp on it.
