hey. i just turned 16 years old. i'm a guy. I am 6'0 1/2 flat. I'm considered really tall by my friends and family. I tower over most of the people i see in school and on the street. And I'm a legit 6'0 1/2. I know alot of people don't consider 6'0 tall anymore,because TONS of guys who are 5'8-5'10 say they're 6'0 these days,and that kind of ruined the tall reputation of true 6 footers. None of my friends believe me when I say i'm 6'0. I'm actually 6'1 in the morning and closer to 6'2 in shoes,but still. All of my friends think im 6'2-6'4. Even my friends that are 6'3-6'5 think i'm 6'2 or 6'3. a few of my friends think im 6'4 and they get mad when I tell them i'm 6'0? would you consider a TRUE 6 footer like me to be tall? Do you think i can grow taller? My dad is 6'2 and mom is 5'6. here's my growth chart over the past few years: 6th grade: 5'4 7th grade: 5'5 8th grade: 5'8 9th grade: 5'9 1/2 10th grade: 6'0 1/2

6′3″ is tall for a grown man, but not MUCH more so for a boy of 16. At 16 he's likely to continue growing some (average 3–5 inches), but it's not unheard of for teens to already be >6′ tall at 15–17 and only grow an inch by 21.

There is no height a 16 year old should be, I mean I'm 16 and I'm 6′4″ but I have a friend that's 16 and 5′11 and another who is 5′10, and I know another one who is like 6′6″ and so on, now if you added your parents height, when you started puberty, your grandparents height etc. Then it would be easy to tell how tall you will be. In the end though, there isn't a single height you need to be at 16, because there are late bloomers, early bloomers, short people, tall people etc. So you could be any height.

playing basketball won't get you to grow any more, you could end up being nate robinson but you'll probably turn out to b 5 foot 9 inches roughly. At 16-17 you grow the most. Also you stop growing between 19-21.

You're on the middle line near the top of the chart. You'll probably end up at 1m76 to 82. Nothing can change that much. Ignire the "get taller" ads, any physician will tell you thats dreaming. Most of your growth over 18 yrs old will be chest, shoulders, hips, and upper legs as you get stronger. The right diet (not too much carbs, 1/2 to 1pint milk a day, plenty of protein,) watch your weight isn't too high (you should hit 70 to 80 Kg in 3 to 4 years time,) regular exercise and a daily vitamin supplement should push you up the currve slightly. Oh, and sleep. 8 hours a night, more if you need it. We grow while we sleep. Any and all of those will help get you to the maximum possible height for your genes. What you can change a lot over the next few years is your posture and behaviour. The way you hold yourself and walk and talk. Smart people who walk tall are seen by others as taller than they really are by up to 5 inches. on the other hand, if you are 6'4, but whine and ***** all the time people stop looking at you. When I was a kid, from 8 yeasr old and up, my Pa used to correct me - I was a sloucher- "Back straight, shoulders back, stomach in, march!" Yeah, he was in the army, was 6'3" and in the boxing team. I wish. Hah! But he was right. My wife says that when she first met me (I was 20) she thought I was 1.85 or more Took her a few years to realise I was just average. I'm 1.75 and 75Kg.

When I was 16 I was 5′9, I am now 19 and still 5′9. It all depends on you and your genetics maybe you'll break 6′0, just don't forget about us little guys if you do.

Wow, what Elaborate details you gAve! I don't see sleep/nutrition making AS much of an impact as genetics, though it certainly could affect it. But the answer is YES you can definetely keep growing!! Most guys do keep growing some after 16. In fact, I know a guy who grew 4 inches in college!!!

Given some time, you will find out if you if you are one or the other.How tall are your parents in relation to your height. If they are tall, then most likely you will continue to grow for awhile.
