When I switched to waxing at 16, I bought my own wax and figured out how to do it during one long, messy evening in my bathroom at my dad’s. When I decided trimming was enough, in my late-twenties, I bought myself a trimmer / epilator and took care of that, too.The only conversation I ever remember having with my mom about pubic hair maintenance was once when I visited her in Spain, when I was attending college in England and she’d moved to a new (old) house, she asked me to clean out the bathtub because the drain was smaller and the plumbing narrower than I was used to.If you want to shave, shave. Make sure you moisturise well, use a clean razor blade, and maybe an antibacterial soap, or you’ll get razor bumps. (You might get them anyway, some people do.) But do as you will. I would say you need to talk with her about it. Don't just do it. Once you shave, the hair comes back darker and thicker and besides that, a razor cut is very painful. Razor cuts leave scars.My stepdaughter is 11. The hair on her legs is blonde but her little armpits have black hair. I asked her to talk with her mom and ask her if she wanted me to teach her how to shave or if she would. She showed her. I expect her to be shaving her legs soon too. For girls, 11 or 12 is when hormones kick in and hair starts growing everywhere!Don't be embarrassed. Let you mom teach you so you don't cut yourself and well, I assume she will need to supply razors.
