How To Avoid Dry Natural Hair When Maintaining A Twist-out.

How maintain long curly hair overnight?

I have long curly hair and no matter how i sleep on it, with a pineapple, in braids, twisted, my curls are always flat and odd shaped. How do I keep my curls overnight? I'm also a very active sleeper, meaning I like to move around a lot, so that also ruins my curls. If you don't have any suggestions on how to preserve them, how can I wash my hair quickly in the morning and get it to dry before school?

How can I keep my natural hair curly when it dries?

Okay, so I’m assuming your hair type is somewhere in the 4a-4c range. This is because the hair type is coily and isn’t curly in fact. It has a definite curl pattern when wet, but without the right products and proper moisture technique, it will dry out and lack definition. My hair in the front and back is 4a. The rest is a looser curl, 3c. If I don’t moisturize properly, my looser curls will still have some shape but my tight coils have no definition at all, what you referred to as puffy. What I do to combat this is moisturize often. Here is my regimen. Every Sunday, I co-wash my hair. I make sure it is all detangled. Then, I step out of the shower and part my hair into 4 sections. I always spray my hair with water from my water bottle. Making sure the hair is very moist, I’ll take my Shea Moisture Curl Milk and rake my fingers through my hair, making sure it is distributed well and the curls start to bounce and get shiny. Next, you need to add a styler. This keeps the shape of the curl or coil and makes it last longer. Without it, your style won’t last past 1 day and you will have to redo it. My styler of choice is either eco styler gel in olive oil or my Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Cream. As of late, it has been a life saver. I do the same method as stated above and leave my hair alone until it is completely dry. After it is, I’m left with a full head a beautiful, bouncy curls. This regimen can last for 1–2 weeks.Check out my YouTube channel where I actually demonstrate what I’ve just said above for a visual:)>>> The perfect wash "N" go <<<

How do I make my twist outs last for a week (natural hair)?

The first thing you do is make sure you start twisting your hair when it's very damp. This will make your twist out more defined and make it last longer.Use a combination of gel and butter to twist your hair. Both gel and butter provide good hold so a combination of both gives super hold. I usually mix a bit of my eco styler gel with shea butter and use it.Curl the the ends of your hair with your finger. When you get to the ends of your hair, stop twisting and curl it around your finger. It prevents your ends from frizz. You can also use small perm rods at the ends instead.Sleep with a satin cap or on a satin pillow to prevent frizz. In order to maintain the twist out during the week, you can either do a pineapple or retwist it. I personally like the pineapple because it's easier and I'm lazy.Although the pineapple is quicker, the retwist method is more effective in maintaining your twist out. So what you do is, you twist your hair again but in bigger sections than your original twists. So if your original twists had about 20 sections, your retwist will have about 8 sections. You can mix it up and pineapple your hair everyday and retwist it every other day. You should also avoid humectants like glycerin since it will draw water from your environment into your hair causing frizz.

I have done chemical hair smoothening and my hair now is straight and looking unnatural. How can I get it back to my natural curly hair soon?

Ohhh, This is the thing everyone is afraid of after applying the chemicals on hair which will destroy the natural hair. But Do not worry, It will take time and will be fine soon. The new hair growth from the root will be natural as of your original hair. But still i can recommend you some things which can help you in getting the natural hair without using chemicals.Fist of all do the hair cut on regular basis. Secondly, do hair conditioning with natural products. You can use the below mentioned remedies for your hair:Use Heena Mehandi Pack: This is really an amazing product. I always use it as a conditioner. It conditions your hair deeply and give you the natural hair.Oil Massage: Use warm oil of coconut, caster , amla or almond oil to give proper head massage which will helps in new growth of your hair so that you can go for the hair cut of old hair.Apply the original leaf of Aleovera on hair for 30 mins and wash it of. It definitely helps in repairing the damaged hair and for the new hair growth. You can also use the Aleo Vera Gel of Pitanjali. My personal experience on it. It will definitely going to help you.But dont worry you will get your original hair after a little bit time. Give time and use the above mentioned remedies. It will help you. I have no idea how to take care of my natural hair?

every time I think I am doing something right its wrong. I cant wear my hair natural for more than a few days without i getting dry. I can't wet it every single day because that dries it out too. I do oil treatments and deep conditioner once a week. I also try to keep my hair up as much as possible and i braid it at night. My hair is healthier when I heat style it once every week, but I really want to wear it natural. please help me figure out how to take care of my hair. I could really use a list of good products and a day-by-day routine.

What's the best thing to do for curly hair after washing when it's wet?

Update: So apparently oils don't moisturize hair-they seal the hair and help lock moisture in!! That being said, I now prefer the LCO method: leave in, gel/curl cream, and finally oil. The only *real* moisture is, you guessed it, good old faithful water. I've noticed that my hair stays smoother and frizz free longer by applying oil last, also. While it depends on your hair texture, health, and curl type, I'd suggest a few things:Always brush out curly hair with conditioner while wetRinse out conditioner Squeeze out excess waterWrap a cotton t-shirt or microfiber towel aroun hairOnce hair is damp but not dripping excessively, take towel or t-shirt offApply productHere things get really subjective:  7. I prefer the LOCO wash and go method:Leave in conditioner followed byOils focused on roots and locs followed byCurl cream/gel/mousse followed byOils-focusing on ends of hair  7b. But everyone has their own preference. The most important thing for curly hair is to keep it detangled and moisturizer. So most people would suggest keeping a leave-in conditioner and moisturizer (i.e. An oil) in your hair at all times
