How To Book Tons Of Senior Photo

I need some quotes for a photo book?

Okay so I got my senior pictures done last year (while I was a Senior) and the photographer is making a huge book of all the pictures as one of his products. He asked me to provide some quotes based off of the theme of the photos. 1. City 2. Lake 3. Prom 4. Dance. Any ideas anyone?

What did your senior photo look like?

My senior photo came about after I got off a plane from Maryland and realized they were due in two days. I quickly contacted my friend, Anushka Ladha and we went to go take some photos. The first day we did it, the lighting was poor and the sun went down quickly…We decided we would give it a go another day, and this time I would get up earlier. (Spending two days on the East Coast and coming back really messed up my sleep schedule, since I got maybe 2 hours of sleep both of those days.)This time, instead of going to City Hall, we decided to go to a nearby park in her neighborhood. After we took the photos, I paid this girl at my school $40 to edit them (last minute work). I think they turned out quite well.My Quora profile picture. This one went in the yearbook! I am not the most attractive of creatures, but I genuinely enjoyed how these came out.

Would you share your senior photo from your High School yearbook?

Sorry: no can do.When I was in high-school here in Canada, Quebec, specifically, I don’t recall there being much enthusiasm for year books. It was mandatory to obtain one in the first 2 years of HS, as I recall, but by 1972 it was optional and many friends never paid for one.In any case, family collapse led me to blow my senior year, and I only got my diploma by attending night school. It made for a very strange academic record.Grades 1–7: top pf classGrade 8: top of class.Grade 9: top of class.Grade 10: failure.Grade 10, 2nd time around: “demoted” to shop classes. Passed top off class.Grade 11: returned to science/math/arts curriculum: abject failure and apathy. In retrospect, I wonder what school counselors must have been thinking to look at my grades and not conclude that there was something going on in my life to effect such dramatic sliding. Instead, they assumed that I inexplicably hit a wall in my capacities, that I went from an A student to an F because, suddenly, I couldn’t understand the subject matter. Then again, that was the core period of the baby-boomer years, with 2000+ students in a school, 35–40 students / class, so sorting through all that mass of pulsating adolescence must have been a nightmare for an educational system suddenly overloaded to beyond maximum capacity. What I CAN do is show a picture of me in my early 20’s, which is as close as I have to a high school senior year photo.Cheers!

Missed Senior Photos?

If you don't take your senior picture, you just get your ID picture the same way you've always gotten it. I went to Blair and we just took our ID pictures on the first day of school. Even if you never take your senior picture, you will get a photo on your ID.

There is also a retake session later in the summer/beginning of senior year. There are lots of people who don't get their senior pictures during the summer for various reasons (they forgot, were on vacation, didn't like their picture, etc).

I HATE MY SENIOR YEARBOOK PICTURE :(?

Oh honey, I'm so sorry. If it can't be changed though you're only option is to accept and move on. Yes, it's horrible but I have learned that even really crappy things eventually lose their sting.

My wedding videographer was hung over and turned the camera off instead of on, so for 23 years it's bugged me. We wrote our own vows, etc. Many family members are gone now and our kids never got to see it. It's awful, but you find a way to let go in time.

It's not immature, this is a normal reaction. Just focus on your friends and enjoy your last days together...be sure to plan on wowing all at your 10 year reunion (trust me there before you know it) and let it go.

I really feel for you but sometimes acceptance is your only option.

Good luck and congrats on your grad!

How can you look at old yearbook photos online?

If your school publishes with Jostens and has enabled Replayit.com, photos are kept in time capsules there back to 2012. However, you probably needed to register in 2012 to see photos from then. Also, presently, http://Replayit.com is undergoing a redesign, so it may not be available right now for 2018–2019.

What happens if i don't take senior portraits?

i don't really hear much people talking about it. plus im not at school in the morning to hear the announcements about what seniors do.

im confused and not really looking forward to taking pics.

but the thing is, one of the photography places called my house and my mom listened to them and ask me 'why are you not taking pictures?'

-i do plan on buying a year book, but i'm scared my picture won't be in it because last year, my senior friend wasn't in it.. :/ (worried)

+what are the usual price range for the photography sessions for senior portraits?

Senior pictures, when are they due?

If your school is contracted with a studio, then you have to go there to get your headshot taken for the yearbook. BUT you don't have to let that company take your more casual shots and you are not obligated to buy what they did take.

If your school is not contracted, then you can go anywhere you want. You could have your cousin take your picture, but I'm gonna bet she doesn't have the correct background the school is going to require. So maybe just go somewhere and get the professional headshot for yearbook and then have your cousin do the casual stuff.

As far as the deadline, you will need to contact the school. Sometimes, it is posted somewhere on your schools website, or you can call the main office or speak to the yearbook advisor.

Another good indicator of when your deadline will be is to think about yearbook delivery. If you guys get your yearbook at the end of the school year, then the deadline could be in September or October. If you don't get your yearbook until the following fall then the deadline could be November or December.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

What exactly is a senior picture? And do you have to take them yourselves, or does the school do that?

most the people on here are right.
except the ones saying you take them at school.
i mean, they do this little thing at school for the people who forgot to do their senior pics or who i guess really don't have money. but at my school only like 3 people did that cuz i mean usually you don't look your best at school. and you wanna look really good for you senior picture.
plus if they do it at school they're gonna take one picture like a normal school picture and if you don't like it, too bad. at the places they'll take a bunch and you can keep taking them till you get one you like.
so i wouldn't take it at school.
and you don't just go to any photographer either, your school usually has a photography place (mine was bellz) chosen so that the photographer can just send the school your photo.
and no it's not mandatory but mostly everyone will have one since its for the year book.

and people also do the senior pictures with their cap and gown and all that good stuff. that is definitely not mandatory but a good thing to have so you can remember your senior year :)
