A good PC build under 160$?

Hello! Im looking to build myself a new computer, but im low on cash :(.
My current bugget is 160$(Il raise maybe to 170/180 but not sure).
Can you tell me a ncie build?
I want to play games like: WoW Cataclysm and MW2(Maybe Black Ops) on it.

Thanx!

Are these PC parts good enough to build a gaming pc for under 400 dollars?

Hi, I am just looking for some help on building a new lower end gaming PC. I have a budget of 400 dollars, but could save up more if it benefitted the buil. My max budget is 600$. These are the parts I have found so far:

AMD Athlon II X3 455 Rana 3.3GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor ADX455WFGMBOX
G.SKILL Value Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model F3-10600CL9S-4GBNT
APEX AL-D500EXP 500W ATX12V Power Supply
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card (11192-22-20G)
BIOSTAR A780L3B AM3 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 ST3500641AS-RK 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
APEX TX-381-C Black Steel Micro ATX Tower Computer Case
SONY Black SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model DDU1681S-0B - OEM
So, there are a couple of things I am looking for:
1) Are these parts all compatible with eachother?
2) Is this setup good enough to run modern games at low-medium settings at a decent fps (30-60)?
3) Is there anything I should change to get a more effective/cheaper setup for a low end gaming computer?
4) Am I missing anything that I should have?
Any response would be appreciated. The parts I have so far come out to $385.43

I have $1000 and want to build a gaming PC. What should I get?

I would definitely go for something mid range.CPU: No matter what resolution you are doing I would definitely go with the i5–6600k, very reliable and powerful, plus it's multiplier is unlocked so overclocking is a breeze.Memory: I would either go with 8GB or 16GB for RAM, 8 is pretty much the standard now. Although you won't see any performance difference, 16 is good for future proofing. It only costs ~$35 to add another 8GB later on. So try 8 and you can add more later.GPU: If you are playing at 1080p I would go with the GTX 1060, it is somewhere between the 970 and 980 in performance and can pretty much play anything at ultra settings 1080p. If you are doing 1440p or a lot of demanding games like Witcher 3, Crysis, etc. Then I would consider paying the extra ~$200 for the 1070. Although it probably will be difficult to keep under $1000.Storage: Your personal preference, I would go with at least a 120GB–240GB SSD alongside a 1TB or 2TB HDD. Don't just get one or the other.Power supply: I would recommend a Corsair or EVGA branded PSU, they are reliable and get good efficiency. Around 500 watts is fine if you don't plan on doing SLI or a high energy card like EVGA’s FTW/Classified.Motherboard: Personally I like the Gigabyte Z170MX Gaming 5. It has all the features you will ever need, looks good, and supports SLI. Depending on the size of your build there are ATX and mini ITX versions too. Keep in mind if you get a cheaper H170 mobo overclocking isn't really a possibility. So if you get a H170 get a i5–6500 or similar.Case: Personal preference, get something that is compatible with your GPU and motherboard. If you want to make your own build with these parts usePC Part Picker: Pick Parts, Build Your PC, Compare and ShareIf you want to build a pre built one (no worries about damaging parts or cable management) then this is a pretty good build I found for $1000 at Lavish PC called the Rebel Plus.Rebel Plus - 1080p at its finest.Hope this helped!

Good gaming PC under 1000?

I was looking to get a decent gaming PC, hoping to spend under 1000 USD. I haven't payed much attention to hardware for the past couple years and I have no idea what would be good. I'd even settle for a good brand to look at, or would it be better to just buy the parts from a site like NewEgg?

Can you build a 4K gaming PC for under $1000? Why or why not?

I am going to counter a question with another question. Why do you need a 4k gaming rig?I ask this because I have a 7 year old machine. I upgraded the GPU to a NVIDIA 980ti last year. It has an ivy bridge i5, over locked to 4GHz with a non- stock cooler. I run 3 24inch monitors.I am able to play many new games at 'Ultra' settings level. The thing is that I do it all at 1080p. Oh the graphics aren't as crisp as a $500 set of monitors that runs 4k. You know what though the story and game play was still the same.According to this What is the highest resolution humans can distinguish? , The highest resolution at 20″ is 170 dpi. Now if we look at my 1080 monitors they have around 90 dpi. Is it almost half, sure. But then again, displaying moving visuals is all about tricking your brain anyway. I honestly don't see the point of upgrading to 4k, unless you are planning on buying a 27 inch or larger monitor, which on your budget you can't.So seriously consider a beefy 1080p setup. You will be happier with your price point and get better longevity and performance of your system.Sorry this got rant, just don't get me started on refreshing screens faster than 35 to 40 Hz.

Good build for gaming computer for around $1000-1500?

Hey everyone, I'm planning on buying a new desktop pc soon and want one that will actually last a little while, and play all my games without any trouble. I think I will probably build it myself, since I hear it saves ALOT....thing is I don't know too much on the topic.

So this is what I've got so far, I think it's good so far but might be wrong:

Processor: Core i7 920

Motherboard: P6T Express version 1 or 2

RAM: 3x2gb Corsair 1333MHz XMS DDR3 - TR3X6G13333C9

Graphics card: 2 x ATI Radeon HD4850 HD 4850 1GB DDR3 PCI-E

Operating system: Windows xp x64 or vista x64 (can't decide)

and that's pretty much all I got so far, please correct me if it's a bunch of crap! If anyone could just give me a list of literally everything I'd need to build this thing that would be awesome, but any help would be great :)

What is a good CPU for under 130 dollars?

Well, Grady, the $130 limit crimps you a little bit but here is an AMD Phenom II X4 925 Deneb 2.8GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor HDX925WFGIBOX, sorta tough there but I want you to get an AM3 because that is the latest besides the AMD 965 BE which is more expensive. The nice thing is, you can later on upgrade to the new AMD Hexcore processors, like the 1090T, for example using an AM3 board and from what I hear, the new Bulldozer Hexcore and (maybe Octacore) will work on an AM3 board as well as the upcoming new AM3+ socket board. So as long as you stick with AM3 or better you should be fine!
We could get cheaper, you know, but that means, dropping down to the older AM2+ board, not a good idea! Here's the cpu:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

Alright, so we need a good AM3 socket motherboard. I am going to recommend this motherboard, the GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

It has both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 and both SATA 3 Gb and SATA 6 Gb ports which makes this board more appealing if you have some older hardware you could use from your current computer and new hardware you want to add with the new ports. It uses everything current, of course (I didn't mean to imply old only), plus has the ability to upgrade and adapt. THis is a decent price for an AM3 board, at right at $100.

For a video card, now that is going to be tougher. You still need to buy some other things for your new computer. I would try to price out some memory, Hard disk(s), DVD ROM, cpu cooler/heatsink, power supply, and of course, your case, right? See what kind of coin you have left over and that will tell you how much you have left to buy a video card with. Right now, you have burned thru $230 for a cpu and motherboard.
