Can you download iMovie on a PC?
I agree that iMovie is like 1000x better than Windows Movie Maker, but no. Unfortuately, Apple doesn't support the iMovie application on a PC. There are some great alternatives like Vegas Movie Studio. Here's the link for it if you are interested: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/prod... Also check out my source for some more help... Hope this helps! :)

How do I make a simple iMovie?
All I want to do is add some pictures and a song and post it on Youtube. It seems so simple, yet I just got my first Mac and iMovie is sooooo much more confusing than Windows Movie Maker. First of all, I can't figure how to delete pictures I don't like once I get them into the movie. I don't understand how to add titles or subscripts and how to make black screens to write credits on (if I could even discover how to write credits to begin with). Also, how do you add songs? The "iMovie Help" is really no help at all. Or, better yet, could someone suggest a simple, free slideshow program that I could download off of the Internet? I need to be able to post it on Youtube, though. Thank you! =]
How can you convert an iMovie to an .mov file?
When it comes to a video format, MP4 may first come into your mind since this MPEG-4 Part 14 file format enables you to limitlessly access to almost all media players. However, even though such multimedia container is near-perfect, there still has something to improve.Although MP4's file structure is based on Apple's QuickTime technology, its data embedded in this MPEG-4 Part 14 file, like MPEG-4 Part 10 (known as H.264/MPEG-4 AVC), MPEG-4 Part 2, etc, causes a codec problem which doesn't work well with Apple products. As a result, if you'd like to edit these MP4 videos in iMovie or play MP4 on iPhone, iPad, iTunes, etc, you'd better convert MP4 to MOV on Mac first because the MOV container is the default format of Mac OS X and performs optimum compatibility with Apple devices (iMovie, iTunes, QuickTime Player, iPhone, iPad, Final Cut Pro, etc).To maximize the accessibility to your video files and experience a smooth MP4 to MOV conversion on Mac computer, you can make a switch to the best Mac video converter to fulfill your needs. Here Dimo Video Converter Ultimate is highly recommended for it not only helps you free convert MP4 to MOV on Mac OS X at blazingly fast speed but also let you repair corrupted MP4 video files on Mac with highest possible quality restored.

It can also import video and photo files from your hard drive. iMovie supports a wide range of video formats and allows you to create projects for specific video formats. You can use the following formats in iMovie: DV, HDV, AVCHD, Apple Intermediate Codec, Apple Animation Codec, Motion JPEG / A, iFrame, h.264, some but not all MP4, MOV. If you encode your MP4 video files with other codecs, the codec differences may be one of the major issues that your iMovie did not import the MP4 file. One of the best solutions for this problem is to convert your MP4 file format to iMovie compatible file format. In another case, iMovie contains all the codecs commonly used for MP4 files. What is the difference of imovie and final cut pro?
What, apart from the price? Final cut costs $1300, iMovie is free. Final Cut is a true professional suite of editing and enhancing programs. Many current feature films and TV shows are made with it e.g. "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." iMovie is just a toy in comparison. It is mainly designed to quickly import, edit and then share home movies. Get your movie onto the web, YouTube, iTunes or burn a domestic DVD. It does not handle full HD (1920) video. Regards, Zyfert
How can I export an imovie from Mac to my iPhone camera roll?
Your simplest and easiest choice might actually be to Airdrop it to your iPhone. (Assuming that both devices are new enough.)If you save this video as a file on your Mac, you can right click on the file and go down to “Share”.From there, there is an option to Airdrop to those within Bluetooth range as long as both devices have Airdrop turned on.It’s also worth noting; you will not lose any audio or video quality by Airdropping the file straight to your Camera Roll!
