You don't change display settings in DXDIAG. DXDIAG is a diagnostic tool of DirectX to show you what kind of graphical hardware you have on your system. To change display settings, right click your desktop, and go to Properties. To change resolution and color, click on the Settings tab at the top. To change your graphic card settings, go to the Settings tab at the top, and click on the Advanced button near the bottom. Go into your graphic card tab and change away.
