How To Change Your Look For School

How to change my look over the summer for the new school year??? Please answer, girls!!!?

Lose weight. (if you have to)
whiten teeth is a good idea.
get a tan if you want to. but pale is beautiful, too.
new makeup is always a good way of updating your look.
new wardrobe (not entirely new, but take a little risks. you might like something more than what you'd normally wear)
new hairstyle (as in cut. dye it if you don't mind dying your hair)
if you have acne (the teenage curse) get some proactive or clean&clear

and whatever else you can think of.

I'm scared to change my look?

Omg I literally have the same problem. I put my hair down once and everyone stared at me at first, and I kept fixing it because I wanted it to look nice. The whole thing was just so ughh! I'm very insecure if u can't tell lol. And plus I've never worn makeup and I'm going into sophomore year in 2 weeks. I wanna ask my mom but at the same time I'm afraid she'll yell at me or something. I'm also afraid to go to school wearing it cuz I feel like people will stare again. Ive been wanting to change for a while but I just can't and I hate it!!! Every girl in my school has those side bag/ purse thingys and I wear a jansport bookbag. They all wear toms and vans ( we hav to either where toms or sneakers at my school because it uniform) and I wear hightop Nikes. And my mom bought my uniform too big so it's not tight and girly like them. I think that if your brave enough tho change than you should do absolutely whatever you want. But that's easier said than done.

How to change look during summer for school?

Well when I get back I want to seem different. In a better way, though. I already am saving up for summer shopping (2 more weeks till school) and then after school is out there will be vacation till half of september. I really don't want this but whatever. Anywho, I want to change my look. I have black hair and light skin and black eyes. I usually wear regular T shirts with skinny jeans and random sweaters so it's simple. I want to wear flats, a tote bag, extensions, etc. However, I don't have so much money cause my job is doing nothing. I also want to change my personality. I'm normally this sort of weird person that randomly pokes people and all. I want to change into that cool type of chick that people aren't annoyed of. So basically 2 parts here;
1.How to change my look (clothes/body)
2. How to begin changing my personality (way i talk/etc)

And i'm skinny so i don't have to worry about that. :)

Thanks for help, and no rude comments. Only answer if it's relevant to my concern. Thanks! :D

How to change your look over the summer?

I think you should start by sorting out your diet and exercise plan. Eat more healthy foods that are lower in fat, sugar and salt and are generally fresh (not processed). Get in at least 5 fruit/veggies an day, smoothies are great for this if you have trouble, just make sure you use skim milk and no sugar. For the exercising, try getting in 30-45min a day of moderate exercise, and I would recommend cardio exercises that make your heart beat faster such as running, powerwalking, cycling, swimming and the elliptical or rowing machine (if you have access to gym equipment). If you want to add more, try doing a yoga and pilates workout a couple of times a week, that include sit-ups, thigh work outs etc. This will make you feel healthier.

For make-up, I would go with simple mascara (don't overdo it), lip gloss and either eyeliner or eyeshadow. Eyeliner and eyeshadow is far too much make-up for school (especially the 9th grade) so stick with one or the other. When you do use eyeliner, stick with black and use on either the top lid or bottom, both looks too much. With eyeshadow, find a color that suits your skin tone, try not to use anything too bright (stick to soft colors, or tones that aren't bright). Your lip gloss should be a light color or clear.

For clothes, go with a little of everything. You need at least one pair of jeans, tees, tanks, dresses (especially one for formal wear, or just a black nice one), shorts, skirts, jacket, sweater, hoodie etc. With your new look, try new stores and styles. If you're handy on the sewing machine you could even try revamping your old clothes.

Accessories you may need (depending on where you live) are: sunglasses, scarf, gloves, belts, hats, handbag, headband, clips, leg warmers, headscarf etc.

Footwear you might want to look at are: boots, tennis shoes, flats, a pair of nice heels and slippers (if it gets cold where you live).

Jewelry you might want are necklaces, bracelets, earrings, anklets, rings, toe rings, watch, belly rings (if you have your belly pierced) and any other piercing jewelry.

If you want to revamp your room a bit too, that would be cool. You could rearrange the furniture a bit and get rid of some stuff you don't need/like anymore.

Have fun!

Does it look bad on medical school applications to change your major in the junior year of college?

No, the act of changing your major won't look bad as long as your GPA and extracurricular activities are still strong. Honestly, a student who does the easiest major in college will have equal chances of getting in as someone who does the hardest major given the extracurriculars and scores are all the same. However, opportunity for strong extracurriculars may be dictated by the major you're in. An example of this would be doing research in a neuroscience lab is easier if you are a neuroscience major. But in the end of the day, if you have everything figured out, changing majors will have no effect on your medical school chances.

How often do you change up your look? Every year, every 5… Do you look the same as you did in High School?

I change it whenever I feel like it.Sophomore year, it was emo.Junior year, it was alternative (think ripped blue jeans, dark colored sweaters, and combat boots). This summer, as I'm going into senior year, I'm really liking the hippie/ boho look, and I'm definitely not ashamed to be be basic.Lately, I've also really liked mixing styles from different decades— like 60s style flowy pants, with 90s high tops, 2000s silly bands, and round glasses.Mixing styles allows me to also save a lot of money by thrift shopping! Goodwill and other stores have so many cute name brands, some with the original tags still on, for over 75% cheaper.Although many things there are considered out of style by most people, if you incorporate them into a boho outfit, it can look really put together!

How can I look at school positively?

Hi !First thing first . Start treating your school as a place to gather knowledge and not as place that you HAVE TO visit every day out of compulsion. Please remember we do not hate subjects as such but we hate them because of teachers who do not explain those subjects in an interesting manner.Remember as students our lives are guided by teachers and parents and we can only react to them. To survive in school we have to comply with rules and norms of schools and our syllabi. Everyone loves some subjects and does not love other subjects. This is the case with everyone. So you are not alone.Start observing your school as a place where you can learn more about the subjects which you love the most.Next try to find positive points in your teachers and first of all in the teacher whom you do not like very much. Start praising your teachers on some pretext may be on her way of teaching or explaining concepts. If you start praising all your teachers you will be surprised to find a change in their attitude as each one of us is hungry for praise which is so scarce in this world. Noticing positive points in the teachers of language or religion will soon put you on a path of loving those subjects also.Make some good friends in school. Now to make friends you must develop some hobby with which you can attract others to you. When you are good at some hobby then others gravitate towards you. Those are comparatively easier things that you can do and manage with little persistence and hard work. Now let us discuss somewhat difficult part. Please list down the reasons why you do not like subjects of language and religion. Writing down the pain areas will help you put things in proper perspective. After writing down your pain areas , dig deeper again as to why you consider those areas as pain areas. You can discuss these things with your parents who will definitely guide you .Start spelling School not as School but as So coool. Changing perspective will change attitude also.Happy Schooling !Mritunjaya
