How does Facebook fake account checking algorithm works?

Facebook has created a system which tries to detect "cloned" profiles and notify the person who it appears is being cloned. They also have a system running which analyses photos to work out what they show. It can tell the difference between a person standing, sitting or in other position, number of people, facial expressions, what someone is doing, background, vehicles, different animals, etc. They are always working on ways to analyse data and use it to detect all sorts of things. One of the problems with detecting identical photos is knowing who is the genuine owner and whether the photo is being misused. Two people may use the same profile photo; maybe of both of them, showing a family member, animal, "stock" profile photo. If a scammer was to lift a photo of you trom another site and use it to create a profile, then you later used it yourself, you could end up being the one maked as fake. There are reports of some people having their account disabled, while the fake one is allowed to continue.Facebook does use a database system to detect the posting of copyright music. This is done through a common database which the owners add their content to, so it is known to be accurate and only listing things owners want to protect from any posting on Facebook. Personal content is not so easy to do this with, as Facebook can't verify ownership or whether permission has been given.I hope this helps.

Facebook: How does Facebook find out about the accounts with fake names?

I'm pretty sure that, that's an extremely difficult problem to solve, because of the fact that the staff-vs-user-base ratio,--especially when considering uncertainty of human behavior,--leaves much more work to be done than possible. So they probably only act upon the judgement of Facebook users who report other accounts. The most complex part of this is that you really can't come up with algorithms that can find, understand, and flag fake behavior, because, ultimately, I figure, too many legitimate accounts would be flagged as fake. That would cause a whole other problem.Someone here mentioned something along the lines of analyzing the combination of IP address, OS, browser, and et cetera. But even though that will work some of the time, it will fail the rest of the time. And by fail, I mean that it will flag many legitimate accounts as fake (the same problem as previously discussed). Many people share the same IP address and machine/device. Who's to say that 50 different people won't use the same version of Firefox on the same Windows 7 machine, through the same IP address all in the same day, right? Libraries, Universities, schools, offices, and others make up a considerable amount of daily Facebook use.As a bonus, I'll mention that fake accounts help the growth of social networks, both as businesses and as networks. To say the least, it's because they increase the production of content (perception of business growth) and they often unintentionally function as connection nodes for legitimate accounts (bringing real people closer to each other). The unspoken rule of social networks is that any content-producing account that interacts with other accounts is just as good as another content-producing account that interacts with other accounts; although, within reasonable, appropriate bounds (considering legal issues and overall image of the company). It's first about the growth of the business, then and only then it's about the communities that the business forms; otherwise, social network companies would try much harder to get rid of fake accounts and, actually, have plenty of success in doing so.

How can I identify the owner of a fake Facebook account? Is there a way to know that by using the user ID or the IP address or whatever?

no, that is not possible. You can report a fake profile, but you will not likely be able to identify the user. If it is in fact illegal activity, you could involve law enforcement, but still you will not get the identity of the person until you sue for damages (if there were any)

How do I find weather a girl's Facebook account is real or fake?

I guess common sense helps here. If her pics are mostly liked by strangers who write objectifying comments with or without getting any acknowledgement, it might be a hint of a fake account.Generally such accounts accept a lot of friends requests without any thought so you'll see random posts on their wall like 'Thanks for accepting my request' or 'You look really cute!'See if you have any mutual friends , see if she has listed her family members in the "about" section; see if she is actually present in the pics tagged. If you don't find these elements in her profile, it's fake! Use logic.

"Making FAKE facebook accounts": Is this illegal?

How can I trace a mobile number of fake account on facebook?

well, you can iff the user has made the mobile number public. You don’t need to do anything.Just import contacts from Facebook. It will add, every single person on your friendlist who have added their mobile number or Email id as public, in your mobile contact list. And you can simply see the number is present or not from your mobile contacts.

How do i know if my husband has a hidden facebook account?

If he's cheating/trying to cheat, he likely has a "regular" account for friends and family, and then a second one.

You could try installing a keylogger system onto your PC, or else search his history. If you find something, I suggest YOU make a fake account of a hot girl, and friend-request him - this is as a last resort, but if he's playing away, you have to take drastic measures. People will say "ask him!" - yeah right - cos he's going to admit everything!

Is it legal fraud if you use a fake ID to try to verify a Facebook Account?

I use my facebook to role play as a character. And i personally do not trust facebook with my real life personal info. Recently Facebook disable my account. And now asking me for a Government issued ID. I had so many friends i do not want to loose on their. How does facebook check IDs anyways? Do they just want a picture? If i use a fake ID. Will i be breaking the Law? Will facebook come after me in any legal way?
