How To Choose A Suitable Career For My According To My Intrest

Which would you consider more important in choosing a career?

After school you take whatever job is open and learn to do whatever your employer needs done. You can do your hobbies on the weekends.

What stream should I choose in class 11?My main interest has always been social sciences, and I always got the highest grades in it along with English. What stream would be the best for me: Science or Commerce?

If you like social sciences go for Humanities. Without interest in Science DO NOT opt science. Ours is a grades oriented system and 12th standard marks matter wherever you go, so choose a subject you would be able to score high in and which you have a natural interest for. Physics and Chemistry are demanding subjects. If you think you can score good marks in those then you can choose Science and later go for English major if you want to leave the field of Science. Choosing Science will keep your doors open for any field.I believe pursuing an MBA in Finance after graduation in Engineering (which is the trend) or any other subject can get you the same job as any commerce graduate gets after MBA. Unless you are interested in core Business fields like CA/CS you can avoid commerce stream. I say this since u said you have an interest in social science. Otherwise Commerce field and hard work will definitely land you good jobs.Majoring in ENGLISH is a very good option. You can become a Content Writer.Language instructor at institutes like British Council are highly paid jobs. At other language training institutes you might be paid by the hour. This leaves ample time for you to pursue other activities. If you like learning foreign languages you can learn one on the side and seek Translator jobs in MNC's. Also you can look for job in UN by knowing one of their official languages.SOCIAL SCIENCESLookup TISS mumbai , they have some very interesting courses which you can choose to decide a career path.If you have an interest in policy framing, you can lookup courses in Public Policy for graduation and choose a stream accordingly.Law you can aim to become a lawyer and prepare for CLAT. Knowledge of the law of the land gives one great power and confidence to survive in this world.Social Service is a field you can choose to go into to work in NGO's.If your ultimate aim is civil service then you can choose one of your main subjects for graduation and make it your optional subject for civil services. There are bank exams and government recruitment exams like IBPS PO, SBI PO, SSC CGL. For these you need only graduation from any field.Identify your strengths and interests. Then go down that path. It will do you much good in terms of job satisfaction and hopefully avoid a mid life crisis due to unintereting job profile you end up in.

How do I find the most suitable career for me, I'm interested in things like languages, psychology, nutrition and traveling but I can't decide what to study?

There isn’t a good way of finding out, other than trying each of them. Assuming you are still in school, take an entry-level class in each. Most colleges don’t require choosing a major in the first year, or you can take classes online/at community colleges. You can also learn more about the typical career for each subject, and see if it’s a good fit for you. For example, if talking to people all day wears you out, counselor might not be a good career for you. You can collect information from people in that career, or even try a volunteer/intern position. At the end of the day, your imagination can only go so far. There are some things you just wouldn’t know until you work in some profession 40 hours a week. Traveling certainly sounded exciting to me, but after a few flights I realized I would hate flying every week, as it’s very tiring. Plus, you could certainly have passion in something, but only to a certain degree. For example, you might love learning psychology, but hate doing in-depth psychology research. Meanwhile, passions may also change as you grow older/wiser. You have to accept that you are a dynamic person, and just pursue the different things that you feel passionate about at the moment. Eventually, life will find a way, and you might even find a unique position where you can combine multiple passions.

How do I choose a suitable career for my future?

I believe the career opportunity landscape is very different today. It’s a fast changing world, with tech constantly evolving - AI, IoT, Blockchain, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, all of which are promising spaces to build skill set and advance on a career progression.Economy is also being more diversified and the appetite for unconventional/offbeat career options like event management, fashion, lifestyle, writing, music, stand-up comedy have become a lot more prominent and are exciting spaces as well.Recommend an open mind - introspect, interact with people and initiate some action towards your goals. In many occasions you may need to experiment and learn. Learning from other people’s experiences can be very useful though.Usually people look at their friends or family for suggestions, but the network usually lacks the know-how of different domains, possibilities, and requirements. People try to connect with others on LinkedIn or Facebook but social networking is very often not effective in terms of response rate and due to the scale, the quality is not curated. Zero accountability. Google is just about the answer to everything, but with such an overload of information, how do you know what’s best for your situation. While there are many Career counsellors, they often tend to be expensive and usually lack diversity and depth as they provide broad advice on career paths.Chase is a unique mentorship platform which helps young professionals and students in the most contemporary domains like AI, Blockchain, IoT but also creative domains like writing, design, music, etc. With over 100+ Mentors in 25+ specializations it is the only ecosystem of its kind. All of this is easily accessible and low cost on Chase. The only question that remains is…….Check out http://www.whatsyourchase.com

How reliable is the Strong interest inventory?

The Strong Interest Inventory Test is robust and has a long multi-decade history of success.
However, The SII does NOT tell you which Majors/careers to choose. It merely tells you how closely your interest profile matches that of people who are already successful (and presumably happy) in their field.
The best use of the SII is to reveal careers that match closely with your interests but that you may have overlooked. For example. my SII results showed a strong match to Forestry Management, something I never thought of before.

How do I choose engineering major?

"Always analyze on your interest and work for it, The success would follow your footstep". Don't give priority to college over your interest but the big deal is how to find my interest.Well,*Chemical engineering: - If you had a huge crush on chemistry go for it. As if you like chemical reactions and love the chemistry lab action so it means you are passionate about chemical branch and surely you will have a bright future.Electrical Engineering: -This needs a special talent - Of imagining abstract things purely explainable by mathematical equations. If you get excited about the idea of developing means to control dynamic processes and power supply grid go for electrical.Civil engineering: -If want to live your life more practical and experimental means having an interest in rigid body dynamics and passionate of the building go for it but don't think of placements and job before going in it as you can work as a freelancer or contractor if you love your passion.Mechanical engineering: - If you are good with imagination of 3D objects and have good logical thinking then mechanical is best for you. A very wide job opening as mechanical engineers is found in almost all sections of engineering. The scope of mechanical will be going far better in India in upcoming years.Computer engineering: - If you had taken cs in 11th and 12th then you are the best person in the world to tell whether you should opt for it .It contains the lot of practicals, computer languages, advance level programming and a great stamina to sit in front of computers for hours. From placement point of view, this is the evergreen branch where jobs are easy to get.At last, try to maintain good GPA in college this will help a lot in placement point of view.Hope it helps.

Studying Public Health & possible careers?

Public Health is a wonderful field to get in to. I suggest going to the CDC and looking at the different jobs they have listed, many of which you will find are for new graduates. You can consider epidemiology, or some other form of disease surveillance. It really depends on what your interests are; people in public health do so many different things, from checking restaurants and pools for compliance, to tracking a variety of diseases, to more hands on work like testing the public for TB or HIV. The sky is the limit in this field.
I worked in public health for about 4 years as a communicable disease surveillance specialist and loved it! Consider the University of Washington, they have an excellent undergrad as well as grad program. Call your local or state health department and ask if you can do a professional interview with someone, thats what I've done in the past. That way you can talk with someone who is actually dloing a job that you are interested in, and here things directly from them about the path they took to get where they are.

If you like healthcare, consider looking into Health Information Management. That ended up being where my interests turned after working in public health and I find that I have the best of many worlds. Good luck!

I am unable to find my interest. What should I do?

Thast a weird question "Unable to find your interest", its your damn interests you should probably figure that one out. But I guess you mean "Unable to find the thing that I should be doing in life which I actually like doing" (I hate the word passion, still prefer this large definition over passion)Anyway, how I think of it is first of all, understand you aint special -- netiher when you achieve something (Somebody else, most likely, has already done it), nor when you are confused (everybody else is probably in the same bracket). I mention this point to make you understand to NOT take your shit too seriously ever. Everything you do has already been done (unless you discover another planet but lets face it..), so, you first focus should be to have fun living the shit of your shit, you know what I mean..Now, easy to say, list down things that you like (keeping money out of the question), yes, things you liked doing as a kid, things you stopped doing cos life caught up, cos semester exams were due next month, cos girl next to you was looking for a 9 grader and you were looking for a girl, any girl, shit like that. Figure out 5 such things that you like doing, LIKE doing, not love doing, LIKE doing (again, forget the money)...yes, horse riding will be counted..thats it..pursue them 1-2 at a time diligently, DILIGENTLYand see how much you like doing, again, HOW much you like doing that, is it like "I like it but it gets boring after a while" or '"When I do this, I don't know how the time passes"...if you can figure out one thing which feels like the second definition, you are moving man...you are definitely...There are other factors, but why the fuck complicate this shit, i think you should totally do this right now...and then, move forward from there.HOW TO DO IT, listing few ways..1. Try to take a break for one year. Yes. Lot of people have done that. And I don't know a single who regrets it.2. Take a job which doesn't take too much of your time. So that you have time for your shit.3. Stall major life decisions like marriage, higher education, etc until you have more clarity, MUST DO!4. Stop finding a girlfriend, she will come later, on her own, yeah, it happens, ok, I am kidding, that won't really happen...chillTada, Cheers, All the best
