How To Conceal The Effects Of Growing Older

As a 24 YO, how long can you hide effects of mtf hrt?

A personal anecdote. There was one day during my early transition that required me to present male. I knew for months that day was coming (but not exactly when) and didn't want to delay starting my transition because of one day. Even a day important enough to force me to present male.On that day I had been doing HRT and electrolysis for about 9 months and living full time for 6 months. I had saved some male clothes for the occasion. I wore a dark shirt with a sport coat draped open all day and nobody who didn't already know would have suspected—which made me both happy and sad at the same time. I'm sure you understand. Now to try to answer your question directly…Unfortunately nobody can give you the definitive answer you're looking for. There are lots of variables. At 5′7″ and 123 lbs you sound like you have a slight frame, but you may not. So let's start with bone structure. Once you go through a male puberty no amount of HRT will alter your skeleton. Surgery can help alter some areas, but not all. So do you have a prominent brow ridge? Square jaw? Flat cheekbones? Broad shoulders? Barrel chest? All of these will read masculine—and, conversely, the lack of them will read feminine—and none of them will be affected by HRT.How about ethnic heritage? Do you have a heavy, dark beard? HRT alone will not clear it. How about lots of arm and chest hair? If so it will take HRT longer to reduce it.Delivery method for your hormones; pill (swallowed or sublingual), patch, or injection? Swallowing pills will take the longest. Is your hormone regimen purely estradiol or will you also be taking an anti-androgen? What about progesterone? Estradiol alone will definitely take the longest and may never get the results you're hoping for without adding at least an anti-androgen.Which brings us to your current hormone levels. Is your current testosterone level above normal or high-normal? If so HRT will take longer unless you can get your testosterone level under control. I was on HRT for about 9 months before my testosterone levels were on target. If you are getting your hormones through an endocrinologist (please do this if at all possible) they will order the necessary blood tests as a matter of course.Congratulations on deciding to live an authentic life! I wish you the best. Enjoy your journey.

As I grow older, I feel that there are fewer and fewer people I can trust. What should I do? Am I too sensitive?

Hmmm... You grow older even as you are thinking about this. So, it could very well be the case that people's trustworthiness is independent of your growing up. But lets get to the point here, you do understand that you cannot completely stop thinking, right? So your thoughts and, as a consequence your 'growing old' must have some finite effect on everything. The thing is, as you gain in experience, you gain better insight into people in the society. So yes, it is quite natural that you find your trust in people changing. But does it decrease or increase? That depends completely upon how you choose to view it. If you ask me to judge, I'd say that everyone is trustworthy. Don't get it? You see, everyone is human and therefore you could trust them to behave as humans. Of course, there are monsters too and you could never predict them. But when you understand how humans behave, you would understand as to whom to trust for what. For example, you come across a douche everyday at your workplace, you could always count on him to display his douchebaggery; if you talk to a friend who generally stays confused, you could always count on them to conjure up yet another fascinating dilemma. You don't trust a lawyer with your accounts and the husband with plumbing, do you? Thus it is your misplaced sense of trust that defies you every time you expect something. You must start learning 'trusting, the right way'. Be patient with people, they can be irritating at times. Give them some time, before they start feeling comfortable around you. Once you surround yourself with such people, trust me, you'd never feel the need to stay constantly alert and on your wits. And as far as being too sensitive is a concern, you could either be grateful that it is a boon at times or  hateful that it troubles you at times. Anyways, it is in your nature, you are the human, you decide!

Chemotherapy for a 70 year old colon cancer patient?

I am a colon cancer survivor. I won't go over covering the difference between radiation therapy and chemo cause everyone else has done a great job.

If they do radiation they will probably still do chemo too. By far the most taxing on the body is the radiation. For me it lasted for 35 treatments - 5 days a week for 7 weeks. I was also on a constant infusion of chemo through a "port" during that time. It may be different for her.

Radiation is definitely tough on the skin as it burns it where it is targeted. Sometimes radiation is done before surgery, sometimes after, depending on the stage and size of the tumor.

After the radiation was over, I went once a week for 3 consecutive weeks then off a week for chemo for 6 months of treatments. I was on 5FU and lukavoren( spelling may not be accurate). There are other treatments available but this was the one most often used 5 years ago.

Because of the radiation and chemo I became anemic and had to have several injections of Procrit. I also had to take iron during this time.

Radiation caused severe diarrhea in the last half of the radiation treatments and the biggest challenge I had was finding something to eat that didn't excessively aggrivate that problem.

I didn't lose all of my hair, but it did thin. I did lose weight and was extremely tired a lot of the time.

And finally, no, 70 is not to old to be considering agressive treatments. The cure rate for colon cancer is high if caught in the early stages.

Hope this helps

Does Hair grow faster if the head is covered?

From years it has been a convention to cover the head if a person shaves his head for some reasons. It is said that Hair grows faster if the head is covered.
Does covering the head makes hair grow faster?

Covering the head means giving it more heat.
Does heat have any effect on hair growth?
If so please give a scientific reason with some strong proof.
