1. Always helps to know the Printer and the Operating system on the computer you are trying to connect to (also if the printer works on another system, what Operating System that one is running). 2. Are you trying to connect to the printer through a USB connector on the laptop or through your network connection with your desktop? 3. I am guessing you are using the same USB cable? 4. Are you using the "setup program" that came with the printer (or from their website) or are you using "Add New Hardware wizard" ? --Will watch for additional details and update then. ***Update:*** I got a similar error when I was setting up my Vista notebook to our printer, which is attached to my XP desktop. Click on Start | Printers (or Control panel |Printers)| Add New Printer. Strangly I had to select "Add Local Printer". 2. Then I clicked on "Create New Port" on the next screen. And chose "standard TCP/IP" for the type of port. Clicked Next. 3. Chose Device Type as TCP/IP Device. Un-checked the box for "Query" and in the "host name" I put the name I have for the printer on my PC (the name on the sharing tab). 4. Chose "Standard" and then next. Used the "have disk" option and pointed it to where I had copied the Vista drivers (I have XP). Chose my printer and then clicked Next. 5. After the install was complete. I tried the "print test" page. Nothing happend. 1 Driver listed in the Control Panel | Printers. It shows the document but there is a error. Deleted it. 6. Canceled out of the "print test page" screen. Went to Network and found the printer. Right mouse clicked on it and clicked connect. 7. Went back into Printers in the control panel. Now there are two listings for the printer. One just the name of the printer. The 2nd one though is the Printer with the network address. Set the 2nd one to default and then tried printing the test page. It printed. 8. Deleted the first driver (using the option at the top of the screen). And now it prints out of all programs.

Its very easy. Okay first you need to install android drivers on windows 7. I think its android samsung universal something driver. I'm not having my laptop with me right now otherwise i could have gave u exact driver. But anyways, if you have reputated vendor's device then just install driver of that model from company website or simply google it.Then, you need to connect your cable with mobile attached to system's usb port. Well, You need to go android setting->More->Tethering & portable hotspot-> USB Tethering. Just turn on it on.If above steps solved your problem then ignore this one, look for setting-> developer option and turn it on for usb tethering.If you won't get usb tethering option then simply go to settings->About phone ->build number. Click 5 times on build number to show the developer option.Once you got it, turn it on.And then you can check in command prompt of windows 7 by typing command :C:> adb devicesAbove command will show you list of devices connected if you have adb installed & configured in system variables. I take it this a 3 computer LAN network all set up at one persons home ? ---------------------------------------... Because each computer in a network must have its own IP address, and you need to connect 3 LAN cables to 3 computers, you would either need 2 LAN adapters in one computer, or use a HUB or Router. I would say the easiest way is to use a router. Most Routers have 4 LAN ports, so get 3 LAN cables, connect ALL 3 computers to the LAN ports of a router. ( Don't use the WAN port) This way the router will set the IP addresses automatically for all 3 computers. THEN... Open " Network & sharing center". on ALL 3 computers Click "Change advance sharing settings" Click the Arrow for " Home/Work " Then "Turn ON" Network discovery SAVE SETTINGS. Go back to " Network & sharing center". Click "Change adapter setting" Right click the LAN adapters on All 3 and make sure they are ALL enabled and then click "Diagnose" This will test the connections.. Also, on ALL 3 computers, go to START and type in NETWORK hit ENTER. A window will appear showing the Network MAP. Each computer should show list of the entire network ALSO: "TURN OFF ALL WIRELESS CARDS". ( Depending on the brand you have , it could be keyboard controlled, or a switch.) This is to prevent an unwanted wireless connection from interfering. Also. In the "Set Network Locations" window, make sure it's set for "Home or Work". Not Public. As long as ALL 3 computers show the other 2 computers in the "Network" window Multi-player should work

Computer won't connect to existing wireless network anymore.?
I have a windows 7 home premium dell computer. It has a intel (R) core (TM) i3-2310M CPU @ 2.10HGz 2.10GHz processor, 6.00GB of memory and a 64- bit operating system. Recently it got a virus, a big one and i had no choice but to get it wiped clean. I got it back and everything was running well it seemed but it will no longer connect to existing wireless networks or any internet for that matter. It use to bring up a list of all the wireless networks around me and automatic connect to my home network but now it won't connect to anything. When i try to connect to a network it just says no network available and i have no idea what to do anymore. Someone please help me. What do i do?
Ethernet connection not working?
ok guys, I'm usually quite savvy when it comes to pcs but i might need some help on this one. Here are the facts: -My LAN internet connection is not working on my gaming system (motherboard: Asus rog maximus vii ranger) -Every other client in the house (that is including wifi) has working internet -It works perfectly when connected to my laptop (so its not the cable) -I get the LAN symbol with the yellow warning sign in the task bar, yet the network and connection center does not display any connection whatsoever. -When I attempt to troubleshoot it via windows (not that that would ever work), it says "something may be wrong with your ethernet driver" -Nothing I have done has changed any of those facts What I have done: - installed up to date drivers for the mobo port - aaaalll the registry stuff - reset ip via netsh etc. - uninstall drivers and restart - turn off firewall and try again -try a different cable - try to use a USB LAN card (didnt work at all, same problem) -winsockfix -reset and restart the router -panic and go ask yahoo answers I would really appreciate any advice from you guys, hope somebody has encountered something similar and fixed it.
