Can a person in China receive an incoming email from Gmail (currently blocked there) to 163.com (not blocked)?

Yes, however Chinese domestic email servers are not necessarily without censorship of their own. For example, emails containing setup information for VPN software have been known to just not arrive in inboxes administered by certain Chinese internet companies. So for guaranteed arrival it might be better for the recipient to choose something (likes Yahoo Mail or whatever) that is both not Chinese, and not blocked.

If a Chinese person uses a QQ email (Chinese email) to connect with you for business, will it have a bad effect on you?

Well, if you had asked this question a few years back, yes, I would say I’d be put off by someone who gives me an email address that reads like the following:218018282@qq.com orcandybunny@123.comI would be more willing to accept someone with an email that has a proper domain on it, like something ends up with .http://com.cnBut, that was a few years go. That’s also why Tencent offers alternative email domain name like foxmail.com in addition to the qq.com domain name, to make people look more professional. Then again, registering a domain in China is a very complicated process and people are now so used to having free email domains, it became the main stream.I no longer care if someone I deal with in China casually shoot me an email from funny looking domains anymore. In fact I have my own qq.com email now.

Is there any email server just like Gmail?

How do you logout of your mail account on a Mac?

If you're accessing your email through a web browser, simply look for the Logout or Sign Out link on your webmail page (in Gmail, for instance, that can be found by clicking on your account icon in the upper right of the page and select Sign Out).If you're referring to a stand-alone email client such as Apple's Mail or Outlook for Mac, there is no "log out" since the client is basically just a database that's storing your mail offline, it's not a website. You can choose to not store your password in that app (or remove it from the keychain if you've already saved it) so that you have to enter your password every time you open the app before you can send or receive new messages, but anything already downloaded will still be accessible since it's an app, not a website. If you're worried about securing your information when you're away from your computer, just set your security preferences (in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General) to "require password" _x_ minutes after sleep or screensaver, and then set your energy saver or screensaver  setting to a low number (or you can use the logout or sleep commands from the Apple Menu or the Login Window option that's in the Fast User Switching menu if you have that enabled.)

What email marketing sites/software allow you to send mass emails without opt-ins?

This actually doesn't matter. You're trying to talk to a robot here. Spam rules are set up and followed automatically by a machine and you're just one of thousands of emails per second they process. It's going to be pretty hard to do what you want to do because the whole Internet is set up in such a way that it will filter you out. It's especially hard since you want to connect to different websites and different websites owners each one having different mail system with different rules and different spam filters. Most people will not read emails they don't recognize. You probably delete emails you don't recognize too. You are getting blocked because people not just delete your emails but they pressed the "this is spam" button or some equivalent of that in their mail system. In my opinion is going to be hard to deliver email to all of them but you can maximize your delivery rate by following those few simple rules:1) Make sure your email reads well and is not spammy2) make sure your subject and email does not contain any LETTERS in all caps 3) there should be no spam words like free, cheap, best and so on, they attract too much attention from spam filters4) deliver your email very slowly in short bursts or just throttle it over time so that you don't trip all the spam filters all over the Internet You can try to use some software for doing all that like a Advanced Emailer (Google it)

What's the best way to access Gmail in China if IMAP/POP3/SMTP doesn’t work?

Since you asked specifically about Gmail and not about accessing internet in general in China, I would recommend the following solution which does not require VPN for checking emails.*Download one of these third party email clients on your phone. Setup is pretty straightforward. Add new account > choose gmail > login > grant accessmyMail - available for both iOS and AndroidAlto - also available for both*Note: you need to either set up your gmail account before arriving in China or if you are already in China, figure out how to get temporary VPN access on your phone ( hotspotting from a friend who has VPN installed on their phone for example).I’ve tried both of these on my iPhone and they work great so far. Saves me time and headache from having to turn on my VPN, wait for it to connect (and sometimes it doesn’t), then open app. Though I have no doubt that these email clients could be blocked at any time, there will be others to take its place. A simple google search for China + one of these email clients will dig up forums that will reveal more.VPNs are a must if you live long term in China. I personally use Shadowsocks using purchased servers from a Chinese site, which I prefer over a lot of the other VPN recommendations. Shadowsocks has an option called ‘Autoproxy mode’ which funnels only the blocked sites through a proxy, which means you don’t get slowed down when trying to access a local site. I also have a VPN router at home so I can browse freely as though the Great Fire Wall does not exist :) Internet is one of the biggest peeves for expats living in China and these are my ways to create some sanity while living here.
