How To Connect Your Laptop To Your Mac Mini Pls Read

How do I connect the PS3 HDMI output to the laptop?

Well, you ask “How do I connect the PS3 to the laptop using the HDMI port?” This question could have several possible meanings, so I will take the time out of my day to answer each of them individually.First possible meaning: You want to connect the HDMI port on the PS3 to the HDMI port on the laptop. Yes, you could plug an HDMI cable into both ports, and yes, you could turn on the PS3 and the laptop, but nothing would happen. You even have the possibility of frying both ports by doing this, so I wouldn’t recommend doing it for the “what if”. This is because the HDMI port on the back of the PS3 is an HDMI out port (duh), and the HDMI port on the laptop, unless otherwise noted, is also an HDMI out port (not necessarily duh).Second possible meaning: You want to the display of the PS3 to go to the laptop screen, using the HDMI port on the PS3. Good news, you’re in luck. There are several “capture cards” available to purchase which will take the HDMI signal coming from the PS3 and send it to the laptop via USB. The laptop, which must have the capture card software installed, will then record, or in a pinch display, the screen of the PS3.Third possible meaning: You want to connect both your laptop and your PS3 to the same screen, but it only has one HDMI port. If you don’t want to take the time to switch the cable over from one to the other all the time (understandable), you may have had the thought that you could connect the 2 together and somehow make them both share the same cable. Unfortunately, this is impossible. However, there are switches available that take 2 HDMI cords in, and put 1 out. You can then switch which device to display from by pushing a button. Please let me know if I did not answer your question, and, if I didn’t, please rephrase your question to be more clear.

How much does it cost to replace a laptop screen?

It really depends on what’s broken and the physical reality of your laptop.Firstly, do you know for sure it's just the screen that’s broken? It could be the very delicate cables that connect your motherboard to your screen. They can become dislodged or damaged, causing screen issues, but those problems will not be resolved by replacing the screen. You should plug it into an external monitor, assuming you've got a VGA or HDMI output, and make sure the computer itself is working okay. Check all the video and audio drivers are updated, and make sure the BIOS video settings as well as the OS display settings are all where they should be.After that, you will probably end up paying $50–$150 for a screen and then another $50-$150 for a shop to do the work, just like the other answer stated.

Why do people buy a Windows PC instead of a Mac, especially when not burdened by cost and platform limitations?

Bottom line, I think it comes down to four things, whenever I experimented with or researched Macs:Macs have horrible value. The top iMac uses an Intel Core-i7 6700K with DDR3 1867 MHz CAS 11 SODIMM RAM and charges $100 per SODIMM. Such RAM is, at most, only really worth about $25-$30 per SODIMM, and I found these prices coming from Corsair, who I can guarantee makes better RAM than Apple, and they themselves are not above price gouging their RAM (Look at Dominator Platinum.). Moral of this is that Apple charges way too much for their hardware and you can build a better PC with the same or better specs at far less cost. I have other examples where I found Apple puts lackluster hardware in their top iMac, but I made my point. Apple charges anywhere from 2 to 5 times what the hardware should actually cost the consumer.Related to above, you get surprisingly underpowered hardware. Sure, a Core i7–6700K is great for Skylake… but then Apple completely wastes that CPU on RAM that was merely okay two years ago and a GPU that wouldn’t be competitive in any game market. This is why Macs aren’t taken seriously in enthusiast or gaming markets, and lost their edge in most professional markets. Why drop money on a Mac Pro you can’t upgrade when you can build a far beefier X99 Broadwell-E(P) workstation/server with the same budget?Macs are built around a walled garden philosophy. This notion that you can only make a user-friendly computer by trying to protect users from knowing how the computer works is, in my opinion, a really stupid philosophy. I’ve been using Linux for over a decade, and in my opinion you have a perfectly friendly desktop on Linux without being “protected from yourself.”Macs are not that upgradable. For most Macs, pretty much all you can do is drop in more RAM and upgrade hard disks. Everything else is basically whatever Apple says you can have. On a PC, especially a custom built system, everything can be upgraded without even tossing away compatibility.

What are the disadvantages of a MacBook?

Okay, so after a few weeks of pondering over what would be the perfect notebook for me and going through all the brands out there, particularly Alienware which I'd ditched after deciding that I'd just be doing light gaming once in university and it would not be as extreme with just The Sims 3; I'll probably be settling down with a MacBook.

What I needed was a lightweight notebook in which I could easily create graphics, do my coursework, play the occasional PC game, store my documents, browse easily through my media and have a good enough battery life.

The MacBook fit my criteria.

Now, what I need is some input from the Mac users themselves. I'm looking for the disadvantages of the MacBook because it's obvious the Apple site won't list them, what brand would?

Oh, and would you say the MacBook Pro is a better choice? Because I've been considering that as well.
