How do I convince my parents to let me marry my girlfriend who is of different ethnicity?

How do I convince my parents to let me marry my girlfriend who is of different ethnicity? How do I convince my parents to let me marry my girlfriend...? I hope you mean you want emotional support from your parents, their approval to married your girlfriend, but if that " how I convince my parents let me..." means you need financial help from your parents to marry your girlfriend, your plan A should be financially independent then go to plan B marry her. But, some reason i believe you meant that you want their approval. Don't wait for nobody's approval. When we became adult we take a lot of decisions; small and big ones. One of the decision we make is "who do I want to spend the rest of my life with?". This your big decision to take. Your father took his and your mother hers, they accept the idea of spending their life next to each other. Now, it is your turn to choose who do you want to wake up next to every morning and your girlfriend will choose too. This how I see life, if you don't make decisions you would never know what would happen. The day I broke with my boyfriend I decided to go back to his car and take a ride with him. Do you know what happened? We are together. It doesn't mean I will have guaranteed a Disney's happy ending, but I least I won't have a "what if" Memory asking me what would have happened if I decided to took his invitation to take a ride him, because I did and I now how the story goes. Marry your girlfriend if you think she might the one for you and find out how your story goes. If it didn't work out at least you knew how the story went. No doubts my friend.

How can an Indian guy convince his parents that being unmarried is OK in this current generation?

Convincing parents regarding marriage is the toughest job ever since. No matter what a guy does, he can't ever convince his parents on this. They will never listen and by chance if they agree to the guy, that's it.... No peace will be at home, a grumpy house it will turn into, all pale faces, eyes staring at you, making lots of references of neighbors who are happily married with wife and kids. Such an aura will be created you will feel suffocated and finally you will burst out and then parents will blackmail and the guy has to agree for marriage. The best thing, get married and break it asap. The only solution.N.B: The assumptions by parents will almost let you go crazy.

How to convince parents to let me get a tattoo, i am 18!?

They'll never get it, and you won't ever get to convince them, believe me, I've been trying to convince my parents to let me get a back piece since I was 17. Mind you, I'm 21. I gave up-- figure that I will just wait until I am through with college and out on my own. It makes the best sense. I'm living under their roof, and depending on them, so they make the rules and I follow them. I learned to accept this and so should you...if you want to be considered an adult and be taken seriously.

If you really want this tattoo, and you're convinced that you're ready to get it, then it wouldn't make a difference to just wait for another a couple years...in fact, I'm graduating next month and looking to move out next year, and I am actually glad I didn't get the back piece because I'm thinking of getting sleeve instead or maybe nothing at all because of different career choice.
...so yeah, patience is truly virtue.

But if you can't, and just want to get a tattoo for the heck of it, because it's cool to say you got it when you were 18--rebelling against your parents-then go ahead and do so. But you're risking your parents trust, and you'll end up losing their respect as well as the chance of getting kicked out AND YOUR college tuition.

The way I see it is, that you'll still have your ear when you're like 22--23, and you'll still be young with the same attitude, and you'll have your own money--so getting the tattoo by then won't really change anything. So just waiting out is a lot easier.
Good luck.

How to convince my parents to let me get a tattoo for my 16th birthday?

Why do you want it so badly in such a rush? I mean it's going to be on you forever, what's 2 more years of waiting? So you can show it off and feel cool? Because that's not the right reasons for getting a tattoo.

I've had friends who have wanted the same tattoo for years and when they finally got it they got sick of it and wonder why they wanted it so badly in the past. People change. You might change a lot in 2 years.

Edit: "the issue of the matter is that I do not see why I must wait until I am an adult to have a tattoo"

Because you're a minor and your parents are responsible for you, that's why. When you're 18 and go off and do whatever you want, you won't be able to blame your parents if you do something dumb like get a tattoo you end up hating. If your parents okayed you to get a tattoo at 16, you will be able at 20 to look back and if you hate the tattoo, ask your parents "Why did you let me do that?!". It's THEIR responsibility.

Edit x2: You're 16, you feel mature but you're really not. Seriously, I'm 22. I thought I was mature at 16 and I look back and see how wrong I was. As you get older you realize that your parents are always right. Last year you were 15, remember that. If it's something you want so badly you can wait. It's not like a piercing which is temporary.

Edit x3: While you're a minor your parents are responsible for you and try to prevent you from making mistakes like getting a tattoo only to regret it later. That's what parents are for, it's not about the blame game afterwards. If they can prevent you from making a potential mistake, they are going to, that's what good parents do.

How to convince my parents to let me sleepover at my girlfriend's house?

so, that is my problem, our family are Muslims and so sex is forbidden until marriage but i don't intend in having sex i live in Dubai and i can speak English very good my girl friend is from Colombia and i am from Egypt. i am 15 years old and she is also 15 her parents don't have a problem with me sleeping with her but my parents do. my father is from the old fashioned strict kind of fathers and my mother creates problems for me out o nothing and she yells at me non stop so i don't know what to do and well they don't trust me my father calls me gay and i am not i am completely straight and never did anything related to them and he think i am not a man and keeps hitting me for stupid things for example i touched my mother so she see that my young sister is going out so he just slapped me and he kept hitting me and my mother was just watching and doing nothing and after he finished she looked at me and told me you deserved that. i have done nothing so as you see now they are a huge problem in my life so can you please help me and also tell me what to do with those parents i have.

How do I convince my parents to use hospice?

My father has fought cancer since 2008. Started off as colon cancer, then spread to his liver, and now it has spread to his lungs and his liver is in the last stages cirrhosis. My mother has pulmonary hypertension and is very frail herself. My father is the one who needs hospice care. He cannot shower himself without help, he can barely eat, his abdomen is always in pain, he's weak and as of the last few days, he's become dehydrated and lost a lot of blood (not sure why). My mother cannot handle him, she's out of breath and her chest/lungs hurt for days after she tugs around on him. Today hospice was recommended to her and she's terrified of the idea of strangers in her home. I explained they were only there to help her out with taking care of dad. This is stressing her out so bad its making her physically ill. If she continues to try and physically assist my father, I know it will cause her to be in the hospital. She's so afraid they will come in and "take over" and they will steal things out of the house. No one has mentioned anything to my dad yet, and he's a proud and very stubborn man. I'm afraid to say anything to him thinking that he may think we are giving up on him or make him feel terrible and have reality set in that he's truly dying. I hate this and I don't know what to do. How can I convince her and my father that hospice is to help with daily chores and medical needs?

How do I convince my parents to let me get a motorcycle?

Background:
I am 19 and I have had my license since the day I turned 16, I have shown responsibility by having 5 different extremely nice cars and trucks, all of which would normally draw a lot of police attention (custom paint, tinted windows, and fast / bright colored cars). I bought every single car myself and paid in cash.
I never even got pulled over, and I have never been in an accident.
I am a full time engineering student and work 20 hours a week at a bank, I am a "good kid" and don't use any drugs or alcohol.
As you can see i am very responsible.

Question: How do I convince my parents to let me get a motorcycle?
I have been trying to convince them since 6 months after I turned 16. They say they trust me, but don't trust other drivers to not hit me or pull out in front of me. I live at home and they say that I cant have a bike until after I move out, not for my safety, but because my mom does not want to sit at home and worry about me making it home.
I have tried for a 250-350cc dual sport (dirt bike type) bike, as well as a small sport bike (Kawasaki Ninja 250). Neither of these are fast by any means (My car I am driving now has a top speed of over 160mph).

So how do I convince my mom that I wont get hit by a car?
I have already suggested: extra reflectors, neon green / reflective riding gear, extra bright lights, buying a bright colored bike, only being allowed to ride when its light out, call/text her when I leave and get places.

I am lost, please help as this is a passion of mine.
Thank You

How to convince religious parents to let me get a tattoo?

my family is Christian, and we all have a strong faith but being religious, my parents aren't in love with tattoos. they're not totally strict, like i do have 7 ear piercings, but tattoos are a different story.
the tattoo i want is "love never fails" written small on my wrist. this quote is from the bible so that should help. i'm a bit of the rebel of the family, but i've been trying to tone down that reputation hoping to make it easier when i ask for the tattoo. i've thought about this tattoo for a good 2 years so i'm confident it's something i want. also, i am 18 and legally can get a tattoo on my own, but i'd like to have my parents permission to show that i care what they think and i have respect for them. how should i go about asking for my tattoo? and don't give me the "just do it" crap, that's not what i'm looking for. so thanks in advance(:
