How to create wiki offline?

a simple text editor if you know html or xml code.

there are many "html gui" google or search download.com if you don't know what a Graphical User Interface is. adobe dreamweaver.is my favorite.

programs like word, openoffice, pages, iwork, can create html code off regular word processing documents from a template or when you save as html. open your document in a browser to preview the look of your page and links (use url instead of local links).

you can copy and paste the code to the wiki creator box, but preview it again and check your links. if you are linking to things like pictures and other documents stored on your computer you will need to upload them to the web and then replace your local links with url of your linked objects. note some of the code created in your word processor or even dreamweaver may not translate or require some tweaking. some hints are to stay with common fonts, use only url links, don't use tab sets or alter boarders as web pages are not word processor documents, use basic colors. watch a couple tutorials about the program you intend to use.

What are the steps to create the Wikipedia page for a person?

Create your wikipedia Page with PeoplepediaLet’s Know -How to Create a Wikipedia Page for a PersonHave you ever tried to create a Wikipedia page for yourself or for a person? If you have, you probably wound up feeling disappointed. And if you haven’t, save yourself the trouble of trying, because it’s not going to work. You may be questioning, “Why can’t I create my own Wiki? There seems to be a Wikipedia page about everyone. Why can’t there be one about me?” Can I Create My Own Wikipedia Page? The Rules of Wikipedia to Create Page for a PersonIn short, you can’t create a Wikipedia page about yourself or for a person because Wikipedia has lots of rules. While it may seem that just about anything you can think of has a Wikipedia article written about it, that’s not necessarily true.In order to create a Wikipedia page for a person, the Wikipedia Policies and Guidelines state that, “the person who is the topic of a biographical article should be ‘worthy of notice’ or ‘note’ – that is, ‘remarkable’ or ‘significant, interesting, or unusual enough to deserve attention or to be recorded’ within Wikipedia as a written account of that person's life. ‘Notable’ in the sense of being ‘famous’ or ‘popular’ – although not irrelevant – is secondary.”So, what exactly does that mean? Who does Wikipedia deem “worthy of notice,” “remarkable,” “significant,” “interesting,” or “unusual enough to deserve attention or to be recorded”? Who gets to decide if you’re “good enough” to have a Wikipedia page, and how have they earned that kind of decision-making power? The rules of Wikipedia are both vague and hyper-exclusive, which is a losing combination.Peoplepedia Welcomes AllIf you’re interested in creating a Wikipedia-esque page about yourself or for a person, there is an easy solution – a solution that doesn’t require you to comply with vague and hyper-exclusive rules. How do I create page breaks on a Wikipedia page (or similar programs)?

To do this, you'll need to assign the value of "always" for the CSS property "page-break-before" to each of the section headers.

Thus, wherever you have a section header, you'll need to apply the CSS property, which you can only do if you write the headers in HTML instead of in wikitext.

Therefore, where you would normally write "==Section header==", you will instead have to write

Section header

.

For sub-sections where the title is surrounded by three or more equals signs, replace "h2" with "h3", "h4", or "h5" as needed, up to "h6" if I recall correctly.

If you're writing this on Wikipedia (as opposed to another wiki) you probably should just leave the default section markup—it's really odd to have HTML sections, and people will likely just change them back to the simpler wikitext at some point.

There are other ways of achieving the same effect, but they would require you to have sysop access on the wiki. Most of these methods are very hackish (that is, they work, but in a rather non-ideal way).

How do I upload a image of a logo on Wikipedia?

Logos don't go to commons because commons is not for copyrighted stuff. So upload it to en.wikipedia itself.

Go here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Upload
Choose the 9th bullet "logo of an organization.."
Make sure you fill out the fair use rationale field properly, stating why the image should be allowed under fair use (otherwise the image will be deleted). You can look at a sample fair use rationale here
