How to cure strep throat.?
Strep. Throat Home Remedies (Mayo Clinic) 1) Get plenty of rest. Sleep helps your body fight infection. If you have strep throat, stay home from work if you can. If your child is ill, keep him or her at home until there's no sign of fever and he or she feels better. 2) Drink plenty of water. Keeping a sore throat lubricated and moist eases swallowing. Drinking plenty of water also helps prevent dehydration. 3) Eat soothing foods. Foods that are easy on a sore throat include broths, soups, applesauce, cooked cereal, mashed potatoes, soft fruits, yogurt and soft-cooked eggs. You may even want to puree foods in the blender to make them easier to swallow. Very cold foods such as sherbet, frozen yogurt or frozen fruit pops also may be soothing. Avoid spicy foods or acidic foods such as orange juice. 4) Gargle with warm salt water. For older children and adults, gargling several times a day can help relieve throat pain. Mix 1/4 teaspoon (1.2 milliliters) of table salt in 8 ounces (237 milliliters) of warm water. Be sure to tell your child to spit out the liquid after gargling. 5) Use a humidifier. Adding moisture to the air can help ease discomfort. Moisture keeps mucous membranes in your throat from becoming dry and even more irritated. Choose a cool-mist humidifier and clean it daily, because bacteria and molds can flourish in some humidifiers. Saline nasal sprays also help to keep mucous membranes moist. 6) Stay away from irritants. Cigarette smoke can irritate a sore throat and increase the likelihood of infections such as tonsillitis. In addition, avoid fumes from paint or cleaning products, which can be irritating to your throat and lungs.

How to cure a sore throat?
I seem to get a sore throat often, about once a month. I hate it and I don't know how to get rid of it. Every time I get it, it is different. Last time it was a tickle in my throat, the time before that it was a feeling like someone scraped my throat with a knife. This time it is close to the roof of my mouth, but definetly in my throat. What is the best way to cure this?
How do I cure my dry throat? I have tried everything. What specialist should I see. I have visited an ENT already, no help.
A bit out of my knowledge, so suggestions only.Stop drinking all the water, it is obviously not working, and possibly washing any helpful mucous from the back of your throat away. Have you tried iodine based throat gargle. Or soluble aspirin gargled in warm water. Have you tried anaesthetic throat spray like Strepsils for relief. There are several strengths among brands. If the nasal spray wasn’t moisturised I’d think that just saline would make things worse. Have you tried anti-histamines? Fennel Seed Tea?? Liquifies mucous and helps with drainage down back of throat = moisture.I wonder if trying a dry mouth treatment on the back of your throat would help. By now you would have several empty nasal sprays you can clean & re-purpose…..I cannot understand why your lower teeth need to be advanced beyond your upper teeth unless the rest of your teeth/jaw are not aligned. Doing this with a mandibular advancement device for snoring left my entire bite and grind ruined. Took over 18 months for jaw to realign after I gave it up.After surgery to straighten & opening, cautery of sinuses for persistent infections many years ago I was suddenly getting so much air down the back of my throat, especially at night with the way I held my head that I always had a sore throat (dry) in the mornings. Have you tried shifting your position - ie tuck your head slightly. Have you tried a light mask or balaklava to filter and help pre-warm your air??If the Chinese medicine has helped, what was the Practioner actually treating??? Yes, I understand that your saliva was increased. What is your version of ADH?? I doubt that it is Anti Diuretic Hormone….. which is the only ADH I could find on a quick Google equivalent. Is it really dry throat or is it pain of the throat?? I am thinking nerve bundles, but don’t know enough to follow through on that thought.
Any quick cure for sore throat?
Aside from wearing a scarf around your throat if you are in the cold air conditioning, I can think of no cure that does not involve gargling. When you break the fast for the night, gargle with hydrogen peroxide. It will taste terrible, but you will get good pain relief. If your throat has become septic, this will help clean it. You are probably dehydrated. This can dry your throat and cause the delicate tissue to crack, and become infected. When you break fast tonight, drink as much water and soup as you can. Avoid spicy foods and very sugary or salty foods. For one or two nights you can eat only salad, soup and fresh fruit. If you are constipated, your throat pain may come from a condition called "thrush". You need to have fiber (rice is good) but must remember than fiber absorbs water and you are almost surely dehydrated. You must drink a lot of fluid when you can. . Tonight when you break the fast, have kefir or yoghurt with cucumber, raw onion, and fresh garlic. Make a cold soup or beverage and fill up on this. Drink as much pure water as you can--this is extremely important--then gargle with hydrogen peroxide after you clean your teeth for the night. Gargle again after morning breakfast. Dehydration and septic throat are conditions that can cause you harm. If you have a fever, or begin to feel feverish and chilled, please do break your fast. God is forgiving, and you can benefit from the humility of having been too ill to fulfill you inention this one day. It's all good.
How do you get rid of a sore throat?
Sore throats usually last between 1 to 3 days. You can't get rid of the swollen red throat tissues permanently, but you can make it feel better now and then until it is gone.A lot of things that seem to make your throat feel better short term (e.g. hot chocolate, soup, tea, orange juice, popsicle, etc...) actually end up making the pain worse in the long run because they are irritating the tissues, you just can't tell while it is feeling better for a bit.For instance, a long time ago a doctor told me to gargle with water and a tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide in it, assuming it would kill the virus/bacteria and thus lead to a better feeling throat. It does kill stuff, which probably makes the sore throat not last as long, but it doesn't help much with the pain. So, the #1 suggestion is usually gargling several times with water (slightly warmer than room temperature) with a tiny bit of salt in it (just like the dentist tells you to do for inflamed gums) and that is also supposed to sooth the throat tissues. (Not sure how long this lasts pain wise, but you can do this as often as necessary.)The science behind why salt water is supposed to work:When a part of the body is hurt, chemicals are released to dilate the smallest blood vessels in that area. This widening of the vessels functions to increase blood flow which also allows fluid containing infection-fighting cells to leak into the hurt area (we know this as swelling).Salt water rinses reduce swelling through osmosis. As the salt water rinse bathes the swollen tissue there is a much higher concentration of salt than that contained within the tissue itself, it’s time for osmosis to do what it does best (restore balance).Osmosis functions to equalize the concentration of salt on both sides of the tissue cell membrane. Since salt molecules are too large to pass through the permeable membrane, it has no choice but to allow some of the excess fluid to leak out. Less fluid inside the tissue means less pressure. Less pressure means less pain.Other usual things like anti-inflammatory meds (Advil, Aleve etc...) and vitamin C might help the sore throat not last as long, but they won't make it feel better immediately. And of course the more water you drink and the more sleep you get the less you will suffer overall with the sore throat and the nose/chest problems that usually follow it.
How to cure a sore throat after a concert?
Cures? Time. However, you can make it feel better with a few simple steps. The best would be an equal mix of honey and lemon juice, one tablespoon at a time. It tastes ok and can coat your throat. Depending on age and medical history, licorice root may also be useful. You can get that fairly easily, either in the tea aisle of your grocery store or in some of the Ricola cough drops.
