How To Defog Convertible Windshield

How to defog convertible windshield?

Hi guys. I drive an old 1992 LeBaron convertible, and in the humid mornings my windshield is fogged up so bad that I can't see when I drive. How can I clear it up?? It's dangerous and the visibility is awful when I try driving. If this helps my AC isn't recharged so no cold air for defrosting. Should I use hot air to defrost it with the top and Windows up? What should I do? Best concrete answer gets 5 stars.

No air from 97 camry windshield vents.?

sounds like a bad vacuum leak but i have worked on cars where people have replaced heater cores and not hook up the vent hoses to the vents too. but im guessing there is a vacuum problem that controls the flap that directs the air

I have a Honda Fit and the windows get really foggy/frosty. Any suggestions?

This is a typical problem with Honda cars (and I've owned three of them). All you need to do is make sure that you turn off the recycle air button. You want the air drawn in from the outside so that the windows stay clear. For whatever reason the recycle air option fogs/frosts up the inside of the car when it's on. Make sure you keep the defrost on high with the intake air button on and every once and awhle crack the driver's side window. I'm shocked that Honda hasn't fixed this problem yet - I had this problem with my 1983 Honda Accord way back when!!

What are the grids or parallel lines on the back glass of cars used for?

That would be the heating grid used to warm the glass to demist or defrost it …aka, the rear window defroster.Usually there’s a switch on the dash to turn on the system and it will run for a specified time then turn off autmatically. There may be an icon on the dash or the switch itself illuminates when the rear window defroster is operating. The amount of heat produced by the grid is relatively low …just enough to raise the temperature to evaporate any dew or melt any ice …so it’s not like you’re gonna burn your hand if you touch the glass while the system is working. You can read about the particulars for you car, since just about every vehicle made these days uses this system, in the owners manual.

Is A/C in a car only for cold air?

No, it does what any A/C does, cools and dehumidifies air. This is the airpath of your Car A/COutside>Cold side of A/C>Blend door (decides whether to heat the air or not)>inside (your face most likely). On a hot day the cool air from the AC is sent direct to the cabin, but on a cooler day where dehumidification is required (eg. demist quickly) the A/C will come on and the blend door will move so that the air is passed through the heater, this warms it up so it doesn’t freeze the driver :)

Which would be a better car 2009 Chevy Camero 2ss or 2009 Audi A5?

so i have saved enough to get new car and pay the monthly bill, and i have narrowed it down to two choices a 2009 Camero ss or Audi A5 3.2l both have alot to offer just which one will be a more fun ride( speed, handling, acceleration, and looks). its just so hard to choose only one but i cant afford to 40k cars.
