Some games don't let you delete the save from inside the game, but you can go to your system's storage area. Now sure what system you are using, so here goes: 360: Go to Settigns and Storage, select Memory, go to the game folder, and find the save you want to delete. PS3: Go to PS3 Save Data folder (2 folders above where the game disc appears), find the game folder, and delete the save you want gone. PC: Go into your Program Files folder and find the game in there. It should be in EA Games folder, then another folder inside there. Once you open that, you should see a folder marked Save Data or Saves. Find the one you want and delete it. There should be an option in the game itself to start a new game, also. This would overwrite the previous save you have, instead of deleting it. I have yet to see a game without this function.

The game will load from the most recent save file, unless you manually load a save file. You can delete all save files if you want, which will start you from the beginning. Whatever save file is the newest is where the game will start from. There is no reason to have tons of save files, unless you want to go back and play from multiple places. At the most, I have only ever had 4 save files, the automatic save file, a couple save files before I enter somewhere, and a save file that I can go back to if I don't like what happens story line wise and want to change what happens. As far as save files are concerned, the game only accesses one save file, and that is the automatic save file, unless you manually save. The game does not freeze because of you having tons of save files, the games freezes because the coding in the game is bad. A lot or a few game saves will not determine whether the game freezes or not (because only the Auto Save file is accessed by the game when saving automatically).
