You don’t. There is no way to evolve a Kadabra, Haunter, Onix, etc. in any of the core Pokemon games without involving some kind of trade, and it’s one of the things that Pokemon desperately needs to fix.This concept, and the concept of “version exclusives” is built on the conceit that players are supposed to play with their friends. Pokemon is supposed to be a social experience, and it’s been like that since the days of Red and Blue. You need to trade with your friends to fill the Pokedex, to “Catch ’em all”, and when you beat the game, you’re supposed to use that fancy Link Cable/Wireless Adapter/etc. to battle and trade with your friends.Unfortunately, a lot of the people who play Pokemon are socially inept losers who play video games so they don’t have to talk to people (me), and these sad sacks can’t fill their Pokedex or get the sweet trade evolution guys like Alakazam or Gengar without buying an entire second gaming system and another copy of the game.
How can I get a trade-only evolution using an emulator for Pokémon Crystal?

You can't evolve it during normal game play. You still need to trade Graveler with a different game. I recommend learning more about "Visual Boy Advance Link", and then you'd know what to do to evolve him.
