How To Explain Why I Want A Lower-level

I've been learning Python for 3 years. I now want to learn a lower-level programming language. Between C, C++ and Java, which would be the best language to learn for hobby right now and possible future careers?

Right, it’s already been said, but I will say it again that neither Java not CPP qualifies as a full scale low level programming language along the lines of assembler languages.I have got another point for you regarding your choice of python as your first language - I will take the liberty to assume that it is your first programming language.Python is no doubt a wonderful language, but you have to grow for it to really enjoy its simplicity.Meaning that you should start with Java, suffer, but keep learning it, and when you have a good command of it, take up python and enjoy it.Back to the question, you are free to choose any, they both have their niches but still are general purpose languages. I have no experience with cpp, so I would of course advise you take Java, but that’s just me.Oh yes, C is closer to a low level language kind, but I don’t think it is a good career option. Besides, it lacks OOP features, and high-level abstraction is what we love about Java, CPP and the like.

How can I explain why I want a lower level responsibility role at a new job during an interview?

First don’t think of it as a lower level, but a different level position. The fact that they see you as qualified is quite compliment. However, I do know this: once you accept the job at a certain level you will be required to sacrifice much of your time learning the job while managing others, handling clients and possibly traveling simulutaneously.Decide prior to the meeting that you feel your new position with the company will allow you to play an important role.Though you may be experienced, you might explain that your preference is to work your way forward and upward toward future opportunities.Be gentle in the process because in actuality you are turning it down.Offer the explanation and move on. Don’t keep going around and around with your decision.Be concise and businesslike.Show a level of confidence in making your decision and they will respect you for it.The Employment Lady

Why would you want to use a lower level language like C++ over a scripting language like Lua?

Speed. Some applications need speed, at least at least for some fragments.Better hardware control (important for system level programming, some embedded systems). Better understanding of what goes under the hood. While LUA developed with embedded systems in mind, lower level languages might be necessary.Ecosystem of particular task ( there might be other code that ties one to particular set of languages). There are stuff that other people do mostly in C/C++ so you would have to do much more work if you go LUA way.Familiarity and preference. There is no point to learn 20+ languages just for particular tasks. Not always important, but…Speed of developing solution (based on 3 and 4). Not always high level language (especially from other fields) will produce results faster.Availability of developers. It is easy to get semi-experienced developers for C, C++, C#, Java, ObjectiveC, PHP, Python, Javascript and some other languages, but not always less common ones (especially outside big cities and big universities/dev communities). This is important from business perspective and even if you are a developer, you might need partner or help.

Why does the UK want to negotiate a lower-tier membership level in the EU?

First off: "the UK" does not.   The official policy of the government is to stay within EU as a full member; perhaps to adjust the terms of that membership but staying as a major player. There are those who want a complete re-negotiation and some form of exit from EU eg UKIP or Dan Hannon MEP.  These do not want "a lower tier of membership" - they want to cancel membership. The proposal on "lower tier" is being offered by some in EU. EU: Britain could be given 'second-class' membership of blocIt is also cited by those who oppose a British exit / re-negotiation as undesirable but a likely outcome of change. This is "the Norway situation".   In these cases it is described as a bad thing (having to obey EU rules without any input or votes upon them) Britain should pick-and-mix over Europe instead of apeing Norway - Telegraph I suspect that there is some posturing over this "lower tier" proposal. Some, who support EU membership, are floating it in the belief that when people examine it they will see the drawbacks and choose full membership as now.Others, who want complete exit, are doing the reverse: they are floating it in the belief that when people examine it they will see the drawbacks and choose exit without comporomise.
