Unless of course your job profile is so unique that the employer cannot find or locate a person of your skill or calibre.Keep this much in mind - at the end of the day these Job Sites are in existence ONLY to make money. They do not care if you are the right candidate or if the client is happy - They are interested in making their money because they need to cover their expenses. And they exist to make money.So if you have the normal-run-of-the-mill job profile, then either you will never get called or if you do get called - they will employ you in droves - that is only if a company is starting from scratch (Hotel or Large Establishment).And over there - they will always go for the cheapest and best deals - which is why they normally employ people from Asia directly from agents.My suggestion to you is either check Gulf News or go through references. Thats it. That is a great strategy. Capitalize on supply and demand. Here is the problem with that strategy. If woodland firefighters are high in demand next summer in New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona, are you going to befome a firefighter? What happens in the winter, when the need for firefighters drops and they lay you off, only to need you again the following spring. Can you survive only working 4–6 months per year? What would you do in the off season?What if you decide that you hate being a firefighter? It is better to find what you are best suited to do and then make a career out of that.

A way to try different jobs is to seek internships in different areas, this way you will get hands on experience for that particular job. For example there are career exploration programs as The Explorers (Police), candy striper (non medial hospital positions) and JROTC (military careers) that offer in-depth look at the field. If you are on the college level you can decide to earn a two year degree in general studies which will give you a basic outline of different careers however please keep in mind that some credits might not transfer especially if you are interested in areas such as biology, chemistry and mathematics. What is important is that you need to seek out options that you like, what ares are you interested possible fields include the arts, science, social services, education, government and health care. You can opt to do a skills profile, talk to a counselor and investigate growing jobs and see if something interests you (note that a popular job today may lose its steam in a few years). It is good to realize that regardless of career chosen no position is flawless while many are rewarding many days are hard but rewarding.
