How do you find the volume of a ring?

drop it in a full container of water and measure the water displaced

How do you turn up the volume on the Nokia 2630 cell phone?

May be a bad answer, but RTFM(Read the *fine* manual) my friend. It would most likely be in the phones settings if there's no physical keys.
For ringer: your most likely going to menu, settings, then sounds or alerts as with most Nokia phones. Your user guide should cover that topic. If not, http://www.nokia.ca/get-support-and-software/contact-us/ask-nokia# offers a way to ask them. Good luck.

How to find the volume of a unit cell?

You have to know the crystal structure and the atomic radius. For example, copper is FCC, which means it is close packed along the diagonal of a cube face. You have atoms at the corners and the middle of the faces, right? So since the atoms are touching, you know that drawing a diagonal across the cube face is going to be 4 atomic radii (1 for each corner for 1/2 the atom, and 2 for the diameter of the middle atom). So you can say 4r = diagonal of a cube face.

The diagonal of a cube face is the length of one side times the square root of two from geometry. So you know 4r = side x sqrt (2), and you know that the volume equals side^3.

Does that make sense?

For the volume of atoms within the unit cell, you only need to know how many atoms there are and what the atomic radius is. Atoms at the corners of the cell count as 1/8 and atoms in the cube face count as 1/2. Then assuming the atoms are spheres, you can get the total volume.
