How To Find Your Own Mobile Number In Du In Uae

If I take an Airtel sim from India then will it work in Dubai?

I am not sure exactly about Airtel. But here is what happened with my Tata Docomo sim card. When I landed in Dubai with my Tata Docomo sim, it immediately came on International roaming. Now since Tata doesn’t have services in Dubai, the tower which was connected was Etisalat.I got regular messages welcoming me to Dubai and informing me about the costs of Incoming/outgoing calls and SMS.I kept the service on for couple of days. Later I got a new local number. When I landed back in India and inserted my Tata docomo sim card, my entire existing balance was gone. I had more than Rs. 500 balance. So before you keep your India sim on in any International location, make sure you ask the service provider to activate International roaming services. You will have to pay a small amount in some cases for keeping International roaming services on. However the normal costs of Incoming/outgoing calls & messages apply but they’re not extreme.Hope this helps! :)

How To Find Your Own Mobile Number In du in uae?

Call somebody and your number will be shown at his/her display. Otherwise call Du Customer Service.

@Wom: 2 fools = 1 thought?:)

Calling Dubai from USA but hoping the number shows as a local UAE number on the caller Id.?

For my knowledge a local mobile number will be shown only if you use the roaming service of an UAE phone provider which would be DU or Etisalat. Also when it's possible to purchase an Etisalat card from outside the country, the card will be activated when entering the UAE.

Alternatively just don't have your number shown.

What is the best telecom service in Dubai?

UAE is one of those countries where there is no visible competition in the Telecom industry. UAE has only 2 brands of telecom service providers, Etisalat and Du. In my understanding, both companies follow the same policies and schemes, but they put it in different ways depending on their marketing team. What I have experienced is, Etisalat is the best for coverage because they started earlier, but Du is flexible on recharges and top ups.If you are planning a longer stay, I would recommend you Etisalat, if the stay is shorter and you want to get in touch with your family, go for Du.

What is the video calling app that works in the UAE?

BOTIM is working legally in UAE with its both Telecom carriers DU & Etisalat. Other apps like IMO WhatsApp Call, Messenger, Skype are banned by Telecommunication Authorities in UAE.

What is the brand of dill pickles subway uses?

A lot of the food at subway (other than their signature stuff like the breads and meats) -esp. the veggies - come from local food service providers. That means Subways in different areas will probably have different pickles.

The subway I worked at got pickles in 10-gallon buckets from Gordon Food Service because they were our food service provider and did all our deliveries. If you have a GFS in your area or another "food service" warehouse you might give them a try. Keep in mind you will have to buy a big package!

Probably the best thing to do is find someone working at your subway who seems nice and just ask them what brand of pickles they have because you like them so much. If you get a nice person or they have a nice manager I'm sure they woulnd't mind telling you.

Which app supports video calls from the UAE to India?

All the major VOIP apps are banned in UAE by the government law. The government has blocked the VOIP service providers like WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook Messenger and SnapChat which take up most of the communication ways in their daily personal life as well as in business field.Since the VOIP service provider takes most of the money from the people of UAE and neither of them are local companies which contribute to the increased economy of UAE. This is not good both for the government and local telecommunication service provider, Etislat and Du. As a result, the VOIP service apps are banned.Try other apps that not so noticeable to the government and not banned in UAE, also the use of them will not require a VPN. check this source 7 Best FaceTime Alternatives for Video Calling

Why is VOIP blocked in Dubai and in other places in UAE?

UAE blocks VOIP services because this will kill their major source of revenue. As a business they are simply protecting their investment which is completely fair. But I really think that they need to come up with a new plan. In 2018 I highly doubt this is the best way forward. As a startup you have no access to basic services like Hangout, Skype, Facetime, Whats app calling etc. This is a big disadvantage to operate your business in Dubai. While VPNs do work, it’s just a matter of them finding out and blocking that too until you need to search for your next VPN provider. Moreover there is no fun in doing anything illegal especially in UAE. Last thing you want is to be caught there.Of late UAE has been going against net neutrality. They charge 50 AED monthly ($13 roughly) that will allow you to use an app called BOTIM to make VOIP calls to other BOTIM users. Only users in UAE need to pay the 50 AED fee to open the BOTIM ports in their firewall for each user. SMART!! This app has been growing and has been a big step forward to make calls internationally. Honestly this is a small price to pay and you should consider it. I believe that UAE realised the revenue loss due to VOIP providers and dialers and this is a smart way to cash in. And it’s legal :-)I only wish that they come out with other plans that will allow users to pay a subscription to have Skype, Facetime, Whats App calling etc. If users knew why they are charging for services, people would be more than happy to support and avail services. At the end of the day UAE does have an amazing mobile infrastructure.
