How To Fix A Sleep Schedule

How do I "fix" my sleep schedule?

lol, ok... once more.

I hate doing this, but I end up having to do it 10+ times a year because my schedule shifts.

You either have to stay up all day/night or sleep for like 15 hours. If you have nothing to do... and think you can sleep that long. That one is much easier. If you are going to stay up, it can be helpful to eat like your schedule is already fixed. So for you....Eat breakfast at 6am.. and dinner at 6pm.

If you have trouble staying up... do not do it with caffeine... It wont work and you'll feel terrible. Just stay out of the bed, and keep busy. I have heard that if you don't eat it can make you stay awake because hungry animals shouldn't go to sleep, they should keep hunting. I have never had the willpower not to eat, cause I loves me some food. :P

The main problem I run into with this is waking up at 2AM and not being able to fall asleep. I just stay up a little bit later every day... and go to sleep a little later every day. Eventually you can get it where you want it. Hope this helps.

How To Fix Sleep Schedule?

it's currently 3:30AM. i stay awake until 5-6AM every night and wake up at 4PM. every once in awhile i fix it for like a week and go to bed at 9PM and wake up at 7-8AM but the it just goes back to 'normal'. the only reason i'm able to do this is because i'm a teenager and i go to online school. but i'm going back to normal school and i know i can't keep this up. i've lost motivation, especially since i ALWAYS go back to sleeping like this. i've tried so many things, my mom even had me on melatonin which barely worked. it's not that i lack sleep, it's not insomnia, but i'm basically nocturnal. i almost went to a sleep center but i didn't want to because i hate talking to people about my problems and i hate doctors and they aren't just going to magically fix me. i don't think i'm willing enough to put in the effort, it gets exhausting and frustrating. they will probably tell me the same thing EVERYBODY tells me. turn off electronics, drink tea, blah blah. nothing works. is there anything anyone can tell me BESIDES the usual? and should i go to the sleep center? what should i do?!

How to fix a odd sleep schedule?

Summer started, and immediately I started staying up late. Napping when I have nothing to do. Well, I'd like to start waking up BEFORE 12.

I find myself currently waking up from 2pm-4pm and staying up from 4am-6am.

I'd like to wake up at 10, my alarm is set at 10. I click it off or click snooze ten times every morning at 10. I can't get myself up. When I DO get myself up, I get bored or tired and go back to bed an hour or so.

So any suggestions on how to sleep earlier and wake up earlier?

"Find something to do" in my case doesn't motivated myself to wake up early, just to stay up later. My friends have been going swimming before 12, cause their is no one at the pool, I'd like to join them. But I just can't get up early enough.

How to fix your sleeping schedule?

Because of Cyber School I've gotten into my Summer habits of staying up really late and waking up really late. I go to sleep at around 11am and wake up at around 5pm and its so screwed up. I want to wake up at around 7 or 8 am but I don't know how to make myself fall asleep?

How can I fix my sleeping schedule?

Easy way or hard way?Easy way first:Set an alarm for 1pm, and wake up at 1pm. 1:15 doesn’t count. Do this every day until you wake up at 1pm.Set an alarm for 12:30. Do this every day until you wake up at 12:30.Set an alarm for 12:00….…You get the idea. The easy way will take you awhile and you have a chance of stopping or regressing, or summer might be over before you get there. So, now the hard way:Tonight, when 3am rolls around, don’t go to bed.Drink caffeine, do jumping jacks, take a cold shower. (no hard drugs, don’t be dumb)Stay awake until sunrise, and then open all the windows. Go outside and take a walk, if you can. Your body will respond to the sun and you will wake up. Warning, it will hurt, in a way, because your body wants to sleep, but it feels like it can’t. This is zombie mode, so don’t do anything vital on this day.Stay awake until late afternoon or early evening. The time isn’t as important as making sure you don’t wake up before it is dark.If you sleep the whole night, then great, but if you wake up in the middle of the night, this is still ok.Don’t worry too much about waking up at 5–6am on this second day. Just make sure you don’t sleep until 1pm. Otherwise, you need to start over.On the second day, go to bed at 9–10pm.On the third day, wake up at 5–6am.

How to fix my sleep schedule for school?

Ok, so it's almost 2:30 here, and it's less than 4 hours before I have to wake up for school. Unfortunately, I have tried everything to fall asleep, but haven't been able to. I've lied on my bed for the past 2 hours, with no results. Last year, I slept at 2 o'clock for the majority of my school year because of homework, and I felt horrible during that period, and my grades suffered. Today's the first day of school, and I don't want to do the same this year. Is there any way I can get myself to sleep at around 12? I've been trying to adjust my sleep schedule since last week, but with no results. I feel tired by 8 o'clock but I don't get onto my bed until 10. By then, I just can't fall asleep. But, if I sleep at around 8, I wake up a couple of hours later. I just can't seem to achieve sleep. Does anybody have any tips? I really do not want to walk around in a daze and snapping at everybody.

How to fix a messed up sleep schedule?

Here is my problem. The day summer started, I immediately started staying up late. At first, it was only until about midnight but as the days went by, I ended up going later and later. It wouldn't be until the sun came up that I'd finally get tired. I would try to fix my sleep schedule by staying up until the time I wanted to go to sleep (in my case, about 8 PM) but I would fall asleep at about 2 or 3 PM. The day I'm asking this question, I had fallen asleep at 3 PM and woke up at about 9 PM. I tried to get up but I felt extremely groggy so I fell back to sleep. When I did that, I didn't wake up until about 2 AM. School starts back up in about 2 weeks and I have to get up at about 6 AM to get ready for school. Any advice to fix my sleeping schedule other than medication?

How to fix my sleep schedule? (Stay up all night)?

My sleep schedule is all messed up. I've been falling asleep at about 7 am and waking up at about 3-4 PM. I have been trying to fix this by going to bed early but I just toss and turn and lay there for a couple of hours. I was told if I stay up all night and then go to bed early, it would fix it. So today I have done just that.. problem is, I fell asleep for I think 1-2 hours just now.. I can't remember. I think I lasted all day and night until 2 pm. It's now 5:33 pm. It couldve been shorter, couldve been longer.. problem is I fell asleep.. Accidently. Did I ruin everything? Am I not going to be able to go to sleep early now? I don't know how long I slept but I do know it was for a not that long of time.

So did I ruin fixing this?

:(

How do I reset my sleep schedule?

Well, I use brute-force thing~ish.By brute force I mean, we fight sleep disorder, with another sleep disorder. To reset my sleep (and wake up) schedule, I’m gonna stay awake to save my “tired power” and use it at right time. If I woke up at noon. I’m gonna try to stay awake till tomorrow night and then because way too exhausted it’s easier to sleep at that human sleep time.Sometimes I’m gonna sleep 4 hours earlier that normal time, or even trying not to sleep for 2 days because my “tired power” is not enough to sleep at normal time (I think it’s more like a habit for me, that my brain is active at night and I just not feeling sleepy yet)and then BOOM! my brain will troll me and give me super weird dream. It is not a bad dream like a nightmare but more like “what the actual f*ck was that dream about?”P.S. To stay awake I just take some coffee and sometimes a redbull when I fell kinda sleepy.P.P.S. DON’T mix coffe with redbull at a time. I’m not sure how to explain it. But I could see sound. A LOT OF SOUND.
